CCP Games did something similar for the 10th anniversary of EVE Online. Their soundtrack is mostly electronic ambient music, but they got the Reykjavik Symphonic Orchestra to play arrangements. It's excellent. ua-cam.com/video/aWmGNRoGLhc/v-deo.html
Would there be any chance of acquiring the sheet music for this? I'm playing in a local orchestra and this piece blew me away, as I'm sure it would for the guys I'm playing with. Regardless of that, it's a wonderful song. Cheers!
From memory there have been a few signification electronic to orchestral arrangement, most notably Pete tong and the Heritage orchestra, and Faithless did a performance with an orchestra at Tomorrowland!
This has such a fantastical vibe to it! It makes me feel like a young child running through a town in the middle of a magical festival! With fae dancing in the air- dragons flying overhead- magicians lighting up the air- turning lions to bunnys!
You might check out Mason Bates. He's a composer who spent part of his life as an electronic DJ, so most of his compositions mix orchestral with electronic music. There are large chunks of this arrangement of Aquamarine that remind me of some of his music, actually.
I never thought that Electronic Music translates to the orchestra music can be so much fun. And it sounds like the Japanese style music. very good idea, appreciate
Do you have any suggestions on these types of music? Electronic but orchestral? I get what you mean by sounding like Japanese music, but I can't put a finger on which... really love it though.
@Alicia Kurniawan I would say it's very reminiscent of Ghibli music/Joe Hisaishi's music. He has a UA-cam channel: ua-cam.com/channels/xyzciBLt1Hyw06dlqwAIkw.html
What they have in common is the continuous appearance of musical instruments and then their exit. Like a scene with different atmospheres, characters and lights are constantly changing. In short, it is rich in layers. Just like what you said, Joe Hisaishi's music makes an emotional description of Ghibli's scene.
Jeremy Blake's version of electronic music makes one feel personal life and emotions. Under the orchestra's interpretation, it becomes such a big feeling to express the life pattern. amazing.
EDM for orchestra is what should be mainstream, there's something so humanely breathtaking about having live musicians putting their heart and soul into this music.....and the acoustic bass drop.
This is the most exciting orchestral piece I have heard in years, creative, evocative and thrilling. Like the flautist I couldn't stop smiling as the music to turns all over a brand new world of sounds. Bravo! Thanks for the encapsulated edition.
I really hope It’s put on soundcloud at some point! I don’t have a computer so I can’t put it on myself and I would love to listen to this throughout the day!
The UA-cam algorithm (far more importantly, the musicality displayed here) shocked me again! It's almost hard for me to believe I almost missed out on this. Great EVERYTHING! Thank you.
this is nothing short of absolutely breathtaking. the sounds are so exquisite to listen to. please continue to create and expand with more music such as this much love from Australia
You can download the video into an mp3 from a number of websites, then locate the mp3 in the local files section on Spotify on your PC, then save it to a playlist which has local download enabled, when you load Spotify on another device it will sync up and download. HMU if you want some assistance :)
I remember watching this when the pandemic started. Watching the creation process that birthed this was honestly the most awe inspiring thing of that year, minus the shitshow that was 2020. Rewatching this two years later, I still feel the magic that this piece gives. Whatever happens, whatever new thing decides to fuck up the world, I hope stuff like this, stuff that gives average people like me hope and wonder, continues to happen. We need more things like this, now more than ever in this bleak world.
Please. Make more of that. This music is so... unique! On one side it's a great piece musically but like.... you just destroyed every boundary you had. This is amazing! Those trombones making this breathing and all of those little details! You are a true talent. Thank you for this amazing arrangement
I am most definitely a confirmed metalhead, but this arrangement has that indefinable "it" that I look for in any piece of music, regardless of genre. It has spark, energy, _life_.
I want to buy this song so I can listen to it all the time. 100% worth the money. It was also fun to see Jeremy's version of Fanfarron too. I love musical collaborations like this.
God is exactly the kind of content I need to keep going. Thank you so much for this and I'm super psyched to see more revisions of other kinds of music given the fantastic process behind it!!
this is honestly incredible and so inspiring... i aspire to write my own orchestral pieces and i love all the instruments used in this particular arrangement so much. going to watch the making of video right away!
the more i listen to it the more i get old Hollywood movie vibes, like we are in italy running through the streets of rome and a montage of sites are flashing by. the lead have no care in the world as this is leading in to the plot twist that sets the film in to motion.
This is amazing. I love the melodies withing Synth/Electro instrumentals, but hearing the same instrument samples can get pretty boring on the ears. But this sort of orchestral arrangement is exactly the kind of twist the genre needs, and it sounds amazing. I love it!
The melody from 1:16 (which recurs a couple of times) sounds extremely familiar, and I seem to be coming across it in multiple places - I found it in the track Saalaikal by Thaikkudam Bridge (around the 5 minute mark) and very unexpectedly in the background music to a couple of Half as Interesting videos. This makes me think it must be from a classical composition of some sort? I've tried many ways of tracking it down but with no luck so far... Would anyone here know where it's from?
orchestral bass drop, now i can sleep in peace
I would pay a lot of money for a full album of music like this!

What I like most about this is not only is it a quality listen but the musicians in the orchestra looked to really enjoy playing this arrangement!
not the cello guy at 3:14
@@enrp I mean at 1:10 they were vibing though. And the flutist at 2:45 just loves the trombone glissandi and the woodblock build-up claps.

2:53 the lady with the flute is vibing

This should be a new genre of music synth orchestral
Abso-fcking-lutely
Check out deadmau5's Where's the drop
Yes please
From memory there have been a few signification electronic to orchestral arrangement, most notably Pete tong and the Heritage orchestra, and Faithless did a performance with an orchestra at Tomorrowland!
You should take a look a Rush Garcia and Seycara they both have made orchestral arrangements for electronic music
This has such a fantastical vibe to it!
It makes me feel like a young child running through a town in the middle of a magical festival! With fae dancing in the air- dragons flying overhead- magicians lighting up the air- turning lions to bunnys!
Good one
I really want music similar to this now
Sounds like something I'd love to draw but would give up on because im not that good at drawing yet.
It definitely has a steampunk kinda vibe
Cool!
I desperately need more compositions in this genre

LOVE mason bates! He’s the pinnacle of mixing these 2 worlds and it’s so good
4:27 - 4:40 respect to the triangle player
UA-cam was kind enough to finally suggest this to me after I listened to it on the other video a dozen times. Lol, cheers!

I can imagine a Studio Ghibli film with this piece as the theme 🥰
I was thinking the same thing when I heard this. Lovely arrangement and performance.
I was totally thinking of this as well!
It's kinda like what a Ghibli film would 'sounds' like if it took present day setting, at least imo :-)
It fits with Ghibli's new file Earwig And The Witch perfectly!
This will forever be my start of the pandemic tune. Powerful times.

I love the smile on the flutist's face as the trombones start, she looks like she's having so much fun
Can we take a moment to appreciate how much /focus/ and skill it took for that triangle solo at 4:27?
