A joyous song, beautifully sung.
Classic Willie Nelson song performed brilliantly by everyone but the real prize is Eddi Reader. When she's on form she knocks me out. Transatlantic Sessions often overdo it but not this time.
Eddi Reader...sigh...what a voice. Love her.
Superb rendition! The lassie has the voice of an Angel.
absolutely splendid rendition of Willie Nelson song. Eddi Reader gives a sublime performance - would consider it one of my all time favourites!
what's not to like? Lovely song, well sung and played, a real song on real instruments.
These sessions are unbelievable. What beautiful music.
Wonderful song wonderfully sung! Not to mention Jery Douglas! Love it! She so obviously loves the song. Beautiful!
I’m still here for this!
Love Eddi Reader's voice. Strong, melodious and what a range!
Good news for all fans is the release of the DVD "Transatlantic Sessions: Series 3" bringing together the best of Nashville, Ireland and Scotland to perform what has been called "the greatest backporch shows ever".
All of the six half-hour programmes from the BBC/RTÉ TV series are included, recorded in a beautiful old converted farm steading in the Perthshire Highlands.
the tune the voice i does'nt get much better
what a song, eddi reader has such a brilliant voice...
I love love this song. 💕🎶🎵
I am not really a fan of Willie Nelsons singing. But he wrote some very beautiful songs. This is my favorit and Eddi Reader is singing it with her heart. I love to listen to this song.Tanks for posting it.
I wish more music coming out of Music Row (Nashville) sounded like this.
This is such a wonderful moment of music and artistry.
Another genius masterpiece arrangement from Aly and the transAtlantic folks. Especially like the accordian at 3.00. Thankyou.
simply the best
yes transatlantic sesions cd and dvd
heavenly
love it, simply beautiful
Omg! This is truly beautiful!!
This is from the new series! Great
Superb!
brilliant
zo mooi dat ik er stil van word. draai het soms een paar keer achter elkaar
wow ..!
cheers m8!!!
special
ahhhhhh!!real music!!!!!
louis walshe simon cowel piers morgan please take note!!!!!!!!
Can't help but notice Russ Barenberg playing an inexpensive guitar when I'm sure he has some real jewels at home....maybe he didn't want to trust the airlines with an irreplaceable instrument? PS-a real one-of-a-kind voice
Those Epiphone Masterbilts sound great plugged in and sometimes the cheaper guitars record better than the custom built luthier specials, that's just the way it is. Earlier T.A. sessions Russ played an old Gibson pre-war L-0.
eddi's great, but i often wish she ran into a great songwriter worthy of her voice
willie nelson is not a great songwriter?
can this be got on cd anywhere
Is it just me or does it seem that Jerry Douglass is the only dobro player in the world? He seems to play with everyone!
@kccowboymo u got that in 1
nb. Not looking too good for TS3.3 my end - signal strength on the DVB-T mutliplex bearing BBC4 has recently dropped to borderline. I guess my aerial is overdue for attention. And Iris was due tonight, goddammit.
If I'm unlucky, Tomtscotland is yer man on the spot. :-)
i used to like it now i have my doubts
You love it now, surely!
is that simon cowel playing the drums?!?!?!?!?
@KS6stringer If you wanted a dobro player why would you try to get anyone else?
