Mitch just found your channel👍🏻 I just did a video on getting my 1984 Honda Areo 125 running they only made that one year maybe check it out🙏✌️
Hey just a quick question, how do you know which throttle cable goes to which hole!? Gonna clean my carb for the 1st time an that’s the only thing I’m unsure of
Thank you so much!!! I found a 1986 Elite 250 that had been sitting in a storage unit since 1992 ... only 1200 miles on it. Thanks to your video, I was able to freshen the carb up and fire it up after a couple hours of tinkering. Runs like new! 謝謝你!
Thanks Mitch. I'm in England and I just picked up a 1986 250 Spacy (Elite to you in His Majesty's Colonies") and it definitely qualifies as a Light Project! I'll keep my eye on your stuff from now on. All the best, Steve.
Thank you Mitch all the way from the Netherlands. I am working on my 1985 250 which has been dismantled since 2016. Cleaned the whole carburator now. Excellent explanation.
I never had a scooter, I'm a motorcycle guy but you are my number one chanel. I love watching you work on those machines. Keep on wrenching.
From Montreal, Canada.
Great video man I love how your videos don’t have that horrible music like every single video on UA-cam has
😄👍🏼 Thanks!
Been looking for where the Vacuum tube for the carburetor goes for about a week and finally found it. 13:20 Thank you for this. Keep making awesome content.
No problem 👍😊
Still helpful 4 years later. Thanks mate!
No problem 👍
Mitch you deserve alot more Subs.
You're channel is not only holsum and educational but it motivated this generation to actually tinker around with engines n work with their hands.
Love your channel Mitch.
Nice job Mitch I'll apply this to whenever I need to rebuild my Helix's carburetor since they are basically the same. At the moment I have mine tore down with the carb just hanging waiting on a new bystarter due to hard cold starting, and intake manifold which is starting to crack to arrive any day now. I couldn't help notice the quick shot of the rear driven pulley outer bell at 0:31 with the bluish discoloring going on, but I'm sure that will be one of your future videos not to spoil your fun. Mine looked the same from overheating which was caused by the 3 friction pads being worn completely down to nothing. I wound up replacing everything inside my unit including the outer bell which was scored inside, the belt, and cleaned the grease out of the variator and installed Dr. Pulley 21 gram sliders with a light coating of Blaster dry lube with teflon on the sliders and their contact areas.
Currently working on 2 CH250's and can't find anything anywhere on these in terms of guides. Mitch you are a beautiful human being!
This should be the same exact carburetor the Honda Helix uses as well, correct?
Yes
Thanks
You're welcome Stephen! Stoked you picked up a Spacy! I have more videos on that model coming up in the future! Enjoy your little project 😄🙌🏼 Thanks for stopping by!
Gran calidad! Todo muy bien mostrado. Muchas gracias por tu esfuerzo.
I don’t ride scooters..... motorcycles is more my thing but man you have some great content you should inspire a lot of people, you have great knowledge!!! I did subscribe great work awesome job stay safe scooter man!!!!🤙🛵
Nice video. I always put gas in the fuel bowl and test the accelerator pump system before putting carb back on, if they have that system. With gas in the bowl, they start easy.
Again, thank you Mitch! Very glad you made, and I found, your videos. My wife and I have owned scoots for many years. Hers is the 1987 Honda Elite 250 and mine is a 2004 Aprilia Atlantic 200. Unfortunately we've had them in storage since 2016 so much work will be required to get them road worthy again. Your videos are EXCELLENT! Any chance you'll be tackling an Aprilia anytime soon? ;-)
Awesome great to hear George! Wow yeah that's long time for sitting... I know yall will knock them out and get them on the road :) I used to have Aprilia SR long time ago but currently hunting for Aprilia, hard to find 😅
Thanks for all your videos Mitch, really love your attitude and ability. Your videos are inspiring.
Question: Where does that line go that comes off the mating boot between the carb and the engine? My carb is odd, it has a second brass nipple branching off the air cut-off valve body on top of the carb, and that is where that line was routed. On your carb, and the service manuals for all years, and every other carb I've seen for the 250, that second connection on the air cut-off valve is non-existent, it's simply not there. I see you do indeed have a hose running off the rubber boot, but I can't determine where it connects to. Thanks!!
Did you ever figure out what goes to that second brass nipple? I currently have the same problem
I did figure it out, but I can’t remember off the top of my head. When I get home I’ll take a look
Thank you for the detailed video. Could you please tell me, at 6.04 mins you removed a 90 degree rubber tube. What is this tube? My helix is leaking fuel from it... ?
More scooter restorations!!! I learn a lot with this kind of videos!
Question: I have a Yamaha cygnus (2000-2003) (the same than MBK Flame) and i'm searching for all the Clutch part, with a new bell, because i have a new Malossi Variator. You know where to find all the clutch stuff for such rare motorcycle???
Thanks, love your videos.
I learned a lot too I love this channel
Good job Mitch, I love the recycling of socks, I do the same thing !!!
😄🙌🏼🙌🏼
Nice video and very helpful tutorials, watching from Philippines, Stay safe man
Thank you!! 😄👍🏼
5:20 hot pockets are ready! LOL
This is awesome, thank you. 😆
Great video! But why is there a coolant line into the carb?
Are the rear and front brake shoes the same part? Using your store to buy parts. :)
do you have any tips on draining the entire fuel system, i have to get rid of old gas in the tank
Top job mitch
Hey Mitch, can I re-use the same o-ring?
Great video but the 1986 250 elite I bought doesn't have a carborator. Dealer tells me its Not made anymore by Honda. My question is what brand of Chinese replacement carb would you buy? Plus what online store? Thanks
Thanks! Hmm try eBay or elite 250 Facebook group see if someone have one for sale… or look at Nibbi carburetor
Hey Mitch, I bought an OEM carburetor and followed your video on installing it, but there's something different about this carburetor. There's no air cut off valve where it is originally supposed to be, but there is another valve right next to the original spot. Could this be the air cut off valve? Thanks
Good job mitch 👍👌
I was wondering if you have any experience with the Honda Forza? It was only sold in the U.S. for three years, (2014-2017), until they baled on it. Just didn't catch on. Any ideas on what happened?
CH250 Best Scooter.......... for me.
Thanks Mitch for all of this priceless tech info.

Thumbs way up as always 👍👍👍👊👊
Very Nice Videos ty
Hi mitch
I love it
I from turkey 🇹🇷
😄🙏🏼
Hi mitch's i enjoyed watch your repair all bikes, its help me to repair similar item in my bike but if you have video about piaggio zip it's very helpful for me :))
Great to know! Aw I want zip so bad!! :) No zip available in US :(
Just got mine a few days ago and was so distraught about how little working room there is.....leave it to good ol Mitch to show that you can get past the frame just by taking the side panels off 🤦😂
What were you using to clean out the jets?
probably carburetor cleaner
Cool vids
By the way people Mitch is deaf. That's why you don't hear him talking.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
This is why I don't do Carbs. far too many pieces, and, parts! Great job!
Sorry Mitch, not good enough for a really dirty carb. You must use an ultrasonic bath cleaner to get to those hidden recesses. Spray cleaner/air hose just won't get it done (ask me how I know). Not that that carb even needed cleaning, it was practically spotless. P.S. I collect Elite 250's and have 5 in various states of disrepair, only one daily rider though.
where can i buy the gasket?
Mitch I like your vids so much better when you talk in your videos, I find the silence so distracting.
