Hey Mitch. Just discovered your channel. Absolutely loved this restoration. What a cool luxury-type scooter! Like a mini Goldwing! I sell bikes and scooters and really enjoy doing stuff to them when it’s need. Those rollers were totally shot eh! Great work anyway, and I’ve subscribed 👍
That's pretty badass! I had a moped (I think it was a pucci brand it had peddles on it to start the motor) when I was a kid growing up back in the early 1980"s and rode that thing everywhere and even used it as a dirt bike which wasn't a very good idea because the air filter and carburetor kept filling up with dirt and leave but that's how I learned how to work on mechanical engines. My father told me "you broke it, you fix it" so I did. I eventually graduated to an old Harley Davidson 125cc that was both on and off road and I rode that think from about the age of 14 until about 16 or 17. Thanks for the video that brought back a lot of great memories and it makes me want to get a scooter again for my wife and scooting around town.

I got here from Mustie1's channel, like most here. Good job on fixing up the old Honda! They're very cool scooters. I rode an '99 Aprilia Leonardo 250 for a while, and while my current BMW F650GS is a great bike I'd love to get back into that CVT life. I'm from the Netherlands, and scooters over 50cc are rare here. You can find 50cc moped-scooters everywhere, but most bikers buy a manual motorcycle once they get their license because it's 'cool'. Great, now you've got me browsing the second-hand pages. :)
Somehow, YT recommended this video to me and trust me this is the best thing I saw in recent times, on the internet. More power to you and your wife, my man. Such an amazing build. I love the 80s elites, I had a ch150 and a ch250 growing up, the 150 had a wonderful hideaway headlight that would slap shut when you turned it off! haha. Unfortunately, just like how you and your wife were riding it around, I was doing that same thing years ago with a girlfriend and the front valve stem blew out and we went down at roughly 50 mph, she was alright and I just had to have my elbow sewed up when the bone came through the skin. Some sad memories but mostly GREAT memories!!!!! glad you pulled her out of the grave!

Love the channel Mitch. I have a 2002 Burgman 400, 12k miles, as a first scooter at 58 years old after 40 years of geared bikes. It’s different but fun. Love from Scotland 🏴 and Ride safe man👍😊
Nice work, that was Honda's top of the line dreamboat scooter of the day, I recall it was fairly expensive. I started off on an '83 Honda Aero 80 two stroke scooter, graduated to real motorcycles shortly thereafter, and have been riding ever since.
First off I noticed the dates you put on the bottom and that is so cool to see the dedication. On top of that you are very informative with what is broken and how you’re going to fix it, I enjoy seeing a mangled scooter most of the time because it is always interesting just wondering how you’ll fix it.
I love this scooter it's so much memories in the film terminator I think they sold thanks to this film there are many models that are not imported for Europe in France I have never found any superb restoration bravo
Been following your van build and saw this and thought I would tell you a story from my past. So way back in the 90's my wife and I lived in the city and then moved to the suburbs and I took along my city bike my Honda Elite . I got a job at the airport that was a good hour drive on the highway and one very hot summer day instead of driving the car I took the Elite on the side roads early. So I work my shift and back then I had little kids and when you could work overtime you did and I just said yes and forgot about riding home. I finished work around midnight and was so tired I said hell with it I will hop on probably one of the biggest scariest highways in North America the 401. I would put the highest octane in the bike and I had the throttle pinned and remember feeling every line in the road, super scary got off after two exits and ended up getting home at around 3 am...ha just noticed when you finished was my B day
Nice job on the rehab, Mitch. Especially figuring out the turn signal. I have an '85 Goldie as well. Very similar to that one with the factory trunk and windscreen. No Kenwood though ;-( Mine has a strong smell of gas after I ride (don't see any leaks). I think gas is getting to the air filter so I've been searching UA-cam trying to find the cause/solution. I love these scooters - I was 15 in 1986 and got the Elite 80. Then the Elite 150 a year later. Rode those things everywhere!
Bien hecho. Buen trabajo, es bonito ver como hoy en dia se recupera un buen scooter. Saludos desde Barcelona, España. Well done. Good job, it's nice to see how a good scooter recovers today. Greetings from Barcelona, Spain.

I'm from the Netherlands, and scooters over 50cc are rare here. You can find 50cc moped-scooters everywhere, but most bikers buy a manual motorcycle once they get their license because it's 'cool'.
Great, now you've got me browsing the second-hand pages. :)
I have no clue how I ended up here. But this video brings back memories. I had a 85 honda 125 back in 1990. Funny how UA-cam works. I subscribed.
Your friend is very fortunate to be the proud new owner of such a solid restoration - superb work.
Honestly good for this guy. Respect brother. Keep kicking ass and turning wrenches
Excellent stuff dude, glad I'm not the only one who dances when you get one started for the first time!
Grace Philp 😂😂😂😄🙌🏼
Somehow, YT recommended this video to me and trust me this is the best thing I saw in recent times, on the internet.
More power to you and your wife, my man. Such an amazing build. I am born in '95, in India so no idea about the vehicle per se, but the way you put in efforts, is so commendable. Lots of love from India. Subscribed
Absolutely awesome. That feeling when she starts for the first time in your possession. PRICELESS. Keep good content coming
250cc scooter WOW.....
great job sir.
Big salute for you...
LOVE It..
man this is the best scooter channel in the world, i feel so good looking at this, i can't really explain it.
but please use a helmet, dont use flip flops and use gloves to protect your hands.
Very well done Brother. I used to have two 1987 Elite 250s. I want to get another one extremely hard to find here in the United States.
You did a great job I really like gold!!!
Mitch is really dude. Hands are like watchmaker`s hands ! Pretty good video! Thank`s Mitch!
Hey Mitch, deine Begeisterung ist echt ansteckend , Super ! dein Video hat mich motiviert meine Piaggio Hexagon wieder von 1996 wieder auf die Straße zu bringen .Vielen dank , mach weiter so !!
One of the best scoots I ever owned. In Australia it was called the "Spacey" and it was a dream to ride. Great work Mitch, really enjoyable.
EXCELLENT.. I'm fine tuning my 86 250.. it's in good shape. I got it from a client.. gonna r and clean the carb . And speedo cable. Applying for new title. Its fast. I'm enjoying it more than my big cycle.
Good show 😅😂😅
I love the 80s elites, I had a ch150 and a ch250 growing up, the 150 had a wonderful hideaway headlight that would slap shut when you turned it off!
Always so cool to see people bring things back to life instead of throwing it away. Kudos!
As I put my earplugs so I can get some sleep this video starts playing and talking in ASL (I assume, I'm not from the US). Immediate subscribe and thumbs up!
I am speechless... really i am . I liked most that part when you two ride together. That's the way it should be.
I've never seen anyone actually fix a turn signal switch before! Excellent work!
I have the same scoot in the same color in cherry condition. I’m the second owner and it had 350 miles on it when I got it. It has just over 1,000 now. Runs like a dream.
So awesome Cass!!
I was up couldn't sleep, started browsing youtube. Seen page so i gave it watch over.Mitch you know your stuff i 'm a scooter man also so i will be watching from now on!😎
Love the channel Mitch. I have a 2002 Burgman 400, 12k miles, as a first scooter at 58 years old after 40 years of geared bikes. It’s different but fun. Love from Scotland 🏴 and Ride safe man👍😊
That’s awesome!! Enjoy the ride!! Thank you🤙🏼🤙🏼
ur such a legend i cant stop watching of ur reactions hope u live long
Nice work, that was Honda's top of the line dreamboat scooter of the day, I recall it was fairly expensive. I started off on an '83 Honda Aero 80 two stroke scooter, graduated to real motorcycles shortly thereafter, and have been riding ever since.
Mitch, I doubted you sir
I must apologise, you are well versed in the ways of McLovin motorcycles
Hats off to you 💪🏻
First off I noticed the dates you put on the bottom and that is so cool to see the dedication.
Wow! Excellent restoration, enjoy your Honda Elite Scooter!
I would put the highest octane in the bike and I had the throttle pinned and remember feeling every line in the road, super scary got off after two exits and ended up getting home at around 3 am...ha just noticed when you finished was my B day
Really cool to see a classic scooter like this get some love. Hondas stuff in the 80s was superb, great work!
Hondas bike were and are fabulous
this is really cool, seeing an Elite 250 brought back to running. Subscribed
What a sweet old scooter. I love watching restorations like this one.
I love your enthusiasm and excitement when something goes right!!
This scoot runs on your enthusiasm! Inspiring. True Biz
One of the best UA-cam videos I’ve seen!
