- This job was carried out in the summer of 2020 for a regular customer of mine, he called me up asking me for help to remove a large dent that he unfortunately managed to put in his own car by accident!
Watch how I use the PDR process to remove this dent on what I will call very challenging metal!

Hey, hope everyone is well. This is a repair that I filmed and edited last summer 2020, I just managed to finish fine tuning it, I hope you enjoy it! Looking forward to getting back and recording new content soon!
Hey I really enjoy your work but in your videos you never tell us how long each repair took you which would be awesome if you could tell us please. So how long did this repair that the guy only wanted to pay for three hours of labor take you thank you your friend from Chicago Illinois
@Willem Beek I did one myself and i spent 2 hours, charge about 30 euros an hour,
Edit: Its much cheaper than painting keep that in mind
@@timtrainer10 Hi Tim, you must have missed it as this is the first video that I actually did put the time taken in to do this repair, at the beginning, during at different intervals and at the end, check out this part of the video to see the time taken ua-cam.com/video/YueMxWyJiNs/v-deo.html
I have put it on my last video too and will try and do the same for all new videos.
Thanks for watching!
Hello Jake!
I love the fact the you are including the time that takes you for the repair. When it comes to getting paid for your skill time is crucial.
Keep it up!
Thanks, yes I get a lot of people asking how long these repairs take, so I thought it would be good to put a counter up, although this is still an estimation as I have to take the time off for moving the camera around, stopping for phone calls etc, but I think it is fairly accurate. 👍
@@1st_track_dents really appreciated as i was one of those who asked 👍
How much do you charge per hour?
Always a great pleasure to watch you in action another great job keep them coming I can't wait for the next one
Thanks Woodchuck, I have another one coming soon which is an old repair filmed many years ago that I am trying to re-edit. Trying my best to keep some content coming even though I am not back working yet. Have a great weekend 👍
@@1st_track_dents glad you're getting better
I cannot believe the amount of talent. Sure it's training and hard work, but you are extremely talented. A gift for sure. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much! 😀
Glad your back!!! Long time watcher never commented, seen all your videos and some more then a few times. Appreciate your work and sharing. I am the PDR tech at the Kentucky Ford Truck Plant where we build the aluminum body Super-duty. Aluminum was new to us so it was trial and error which I found you via that.
Thanks for watching and for your comment. Yes, Aluminum is a whole different ball game and becoming so much more popular in vehicle manufacturing. Loving those new Ford trucks rolling off the production line, not sure if we will see any over here in the UK, our roads are tiny lol 😂
the best PDR channel...
Omg Jake…
I think your skills are beyond everything !
Every tap you make seems so accurate and you make it looks so easy but deep down we all know, you got this from years of experience working on countless cars… haha i’m sure the dents are talking to you !
Thanks! Yes, you're right, I've probably removed thousands of dents in my time, they don't talk to me although, I do communicate with them through morse code with all that tapping 😂
You must be one of the best PDR

Огромное спасибо спасибо за ваши все видео. Давно смотрю на ваши работы и восхищаюсь. Thanks Salman for your kind words, yes I'm trying to find some videos to post to fill in the gap until I can get back working again. Luckily this was filmed and edited last summer, I just had to tweak a few bits. Hopefully things are moving in the right direction now. More coming very soon 👍
Always impressive work... enjoyable
Thank you! 👍
Always amazing work 😎👍
Thanks Peter! 😉
I love your job, congratulations.
Thank you so much! ☺
Only just published and already 1stTD has 1 competitor who has stopped by to express displeasure that work they refused due to 'too much to take on' was repaired to perfection while making it look as 'simple' to do as falling off a stool at the pub. Brilliant
Ha ha, great comment! As someone who puts content out there, these things are to be expected 😂
Hope you a feeling better another great video as usual I am a pdr tech also always trying to learn and get better you definitely help with that thanks and can't wait to you are back at it full time again.

Wow - what great work Jake! Awesome to watch a true master. PLUS it looks like you have a full production crew putting these videos together - Crazy good quality! Thank you!
Thanks! ....Man I wish I had a full production crew, it's just me, my old iphone and many long hours sitting at my desk using my editing software, luckily this one was recorded and edited last year, I just had to tweak a couple of bits. Excellent video as always. Before I started watching this channel, I had no idea that dents like that could be smoothed out without fillers or panel replacement.
Thanks Paul, yes it's amazing what Paintless Dent Removal can achieve these days, there are still so many people that don't know it even exists. Luckily though, there are many great tech's showing their work online these days, so hopefully more and more people will see the benefit of using this method. 👍
So true, neither did I - I always wished/wondered if it could be done. After seeing Jake and his techniques - they have come on so much since the hammer and dolly! So inspiring! 👍😎

Are you sure your name isn't Michaelangelo? You most certainly have a gift sir. I hope I can come close to pushing out the dints of my car like you did these. The electric gate closed on me while I was trying to get through.... It looks pretty nasty. Got some paint damage as well. Do you have any videos on patching up paint damage? Maybe buffing and adding some polishes will help but it looks pretty scraped up I'm probably going to have to touch it up with some paint.

When I am back working I will certainly consider it yes.

Nice repair man you really glassed it out! What tip were you using on your blending hammer if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks Wesley, I was just using a standard rubber tip on the Aluminium hammer that I use, It's the tip that comes with the Ultra Dent Tip set:
www.ultradenttools.com/products/a44-7-16-6-pc-tip-set-and-tip-holder?_pos=1&_sid=5430179c2&_ss=r
Nothing fancy really just basic tools, thanks for watching!👍
thank Jake I love your every sigle job. I thought use large rubber tips and heat push instead glexo cool glue can be faster and got more contral. maybe I am wrong please dont worry about it.
Hey Bill, thanks for watching, yes I could have just gone in behind with the rubber tip , I thought the Glexo would bring most of it out but it was being a pain because the metal was very flimsy, either way would have worked really. 👍
Классно всё сделал👍✌️
Спасибо! 👍

Haven't seen you in awhile I missed your videos
Hey Bobby, yes lots been going on these past couple of years, hope you are keeping well 👍
Where can I get the cold glue with the stick that you have that you’re using on this video
Jake do you have a link to buy the rubber push and knockdown tips you used in this video. Thanks.
Hi Aaron, no I bought a few hundred of each about 5 years ago from a company that is not trading anymore, but it seems no one really does these anymore, most tech's prefer the cherry caps now although I prefer the rubber and vinyl myself. You can take a look on TDN tools in the UK or PDR pro tools www.pdrprotools.co.uk/
Let me know if you find anyone who does the rubber and plastic vinyl tips as I only have a handful left myself now.
Hello Jake I'm having trouble finding the cold glue you mentioned, can you please tell me the name of it. Thank you
HI Boris, the brand I use is called Glexo cold Glue. 👍

Ha ha, you could also just park it at the local supermarket for 10 minutes and you would get the same result 😂 I haven't done a tools of the trade video yet, I put down in the description most of the common tools that I use, but I may do a tools video in the future 👍
