Jim&Rom, I love the Bbq shack and watching all the great videos. About to get our own shack done and just wanted to check what direction does your shack faces .ie south/west etc. I have to decide what way to face it before builder comes. I can either do East or North facing looking back into the back of house and patio area.. so any advice appreciated.

Fantastic set-up! I, myself, have abandoned gas all together. I had some maple trees felled in my yard and have been using that wood in my smoking/ BBQ-ing.
I'm interested in where this channel takes me... always interested in world BBQ, though I suspect the basics are are pretty similar to how I do it here in Canada.
