I forgot my Casio in the pocket when I threw my work pants into the washer. Our work place washer is a high efficiency meaning the lid locks. At the end of the wash I thought my watch would be destroyed. Not so during the wash it came out of my pocket which meant a lot of abrasion on one of the buttons. The button was worn away because of the abrasion. But the watch kept working. Because I work in an oil refinery I set the temperature to hot and the cycle to power wash.
The Casio does get harder to view from weird angles when illuminated. But from normal wrist angles it’s perfectly fine. It was pretty clear you realized you were grabbing at straws when demonstrating. You put your wrist up like you normally do. Then realized you could see it fine. Started to twist in a weird way to make your point haha
Yeah anyone who makes sassy black lady lip smacking sounds is a total brainlet and should be dismissed immediately the second you hear those constant tooth sucking lip smacking noises. Brainlet noise = brainlet opinion.

I have 3 G-shocks of various designs. I also have this little w375. I think it is a superbly made watch and it is honestly very comfortable. My back light works great and as for the features it has every thing I need and nothing I don't. My G-shocks will all probably outlast it but I genuinely love this little watch!

I have tried both. It is effectively the same watch. the cheaper one has 5 sec stop watch delay feature that is really nice. In g-shock you can start timer from Home Screen and use auto-elimination. I own few g-shocks, but in this case you get 90 percent of g-shock model in lighter and almost equally tough package for 20 dollars. You can’t really go wrong in either case.

The W735h is a great affordable watch with many of the G Shock's characteristics for about $20. On the wrist the vibrating alarm will be just about the same since our wrists/skin isn't hard as wood. The main difference between regular casios and G-shock's are the multi-angle visibility LCD and the rubber shock absorption on the G. Honestly, I dont think the $100 GD350 G-shock is 4x better than the $20-25 Casio W735H, still they're both great watches.
I would think that the lower priced watch with the stronger vibration would be better. I would hate to miss an alarm because it was to weak to feel.

Thanks for the review. I have actually been looking at these two watches for the vibrating feature and have been leaning towards the GD350 series. Also looking into a Timex vibrating version.
Your g shock is resting on some rubber modifications while the Casio is on its steel caseback. Obviously it will be louder. Try putting them both on a wrist for us to hear.
The GD350 is one of the best.....If not THE best G-Shock Watches ever created......Trust me on this ;)
I totally agree. I went through so many G-Shocks and finally sold them all and kept my first GD-350. Then I bought 2 more of them. They simply do everything better than all the other watches at any price point.

Great review but the slapping of the gums really was annoying.
Strap contact points look the same, will the strap adapters and NATO strap also fit on the 735?
Based on the reviews, it looks like more people were convinced to NOT invest in a G-shock than the cheaper Casio. It all depends on what features are important to you, though.
I invested in the first one, but unfortunately it was less reliable as an alarm clock (lacking the snooze function and only having one alarm). Then I bought the G-Shock version and it was more reliable as an actual alarm clock when sleeping. In other words, this video ultimately convinced me to buy both. I am very satisfied with both but I would only recommend the G-Shock on the right for people who wish to use it to wake up from sleep.
I would agree with you that it depends on what is important to you.

The W735H has an acrylic window, easily scratchable while G-Shocks have mineral glass. Otherwise it's a good watch ( I have one ).
You really don't like the 735h do you. Can't even remember it's model number. It never had a chance. How do you compare two watches with such a huge price difference. Ps they are both made by casio go figure

I dumped the g shock with the tiny adjust buttons and got the super illuminator for 1/3 the price. Excellent decision and a better watch all the way around. Have a great week.
Does the gshock vibe and flash the backlight for the hourly signal? Does it have the option to do both (vibe and flash backlight and chirp sound) for the hourly signal?

Id go for the w-735h atleast compared to that particular gshock model which I think op for what it offers aside from the extreme shock resistance.
Thank you for the comparison. I already have a g shock but need a watch to officiate with that has vibrate in it. Currently using a pebble as my second watch but the g shock seems the way to go.

Yes. If i set a snooze alarm it wakes me up. Although i wouldn't depend on it. It also depends if you're a heavy sleeper
Hopefully you don't have a polarized filter on your camera. That can cause problems in recording video with watchs. Once I had a polarized light source and I wanted to see my watch at night. I couldn't see my watch screen. The polarized light source was my computer screen and if you try to look at your watch screen with the lights out using your computer screen as the light source and you turn your watch the display on the watch should get lighter or darker. To make sure everything is fair put the watch on the keyboard so it is at the same angle to the screen as you rotate the watch.

Depending on whether you or anybody cares about this, but the g-shock like the one in the video definitely feels like it is “expensive” when you hold it. It’s case snd screen are very noticeably superior to cheaper Casio. One sign is , for example, how you can see the numbers when looking from further and further angled from the side. But whether those things really matter depends on how much the wearer cares about it. It does feel very thick and large on the wrist. Whatever long sleeve shirts someone may wear the cuffs will be hitting the watch.

Uncomfortable tasing vibration will wake you up. A polite subtle vibration will not.

For a mud run I would not really wear a watch even if it does have mud resistance just because it slows you down. I’m not concerned about the durability if anything a Casio f-91w or a timex iron man or a garmin would do just fine
A watch on your wrist will absolutely not slow you down in a mud run. Not for one second. The only time that might be applicable is in professional swimming because it would create drag in the water.

A digital watch should not lose time at all unless the battery is going dead. My normal beater is a casio mdv-106 quartz watch and it hasn't lost any time in over a year since it was last set & digital should be more reliable.
Had to turn off. Too much hesitation (Uhm), and the lip smacking sounds are totally nauseating.
Lay off with the lip smacking sounds as punctuation, makes listening to you very hard.
the g shock is almost the same. There is no night and day differences.

Only idiot I've seen here is you. He made it pretty clear that the biggest difference between the two watches is one had a classier branding and a more subtle vibrational alarm. Also he showed that he doesn't know how to synchronize watches.
The g-shock is 200m water resistant and the casio is is 100m water resistant at best

This feels like you are being very nit-picky, in an attempt to just make the G-shock sound better... When in actuality, the better watch is the Casio replica, which is why it was made in the first place, to cater for people who don't want to pay G-shock label price-tags, but still want a watch that looks like it.
They do the same for trainers mate, there's no difference here... I'm not NOT going to buy a cheaper watch, that does everything else a more expensive one does, just because it has a metal clasp or resin strap, or the word G-shock on it.
Bottom line is, both watches do the same damn thing... the minor differences are NOT worth paying the higher prices... The G-shock is just for people who like to splash cash on designer stuff - How much you being paid by Casio to try to sell people on the G-shock?
