One of the points you brought up is also a pet peeve of mine... Actuating one of the functions while bending your wrist... that drives me crazy... I'll go to look at the time and realize that the timer or stopwatch has been activated... aggravating... Not just the G-Shock's, but Cassio in general seems to have remedied that problem.... I've never had that issue with any of my Casios that i have
I suspect the reason the timer cannot be shut off with the button is to avoid accidentally turning it off in a critical situation. It reminds me of old railroad watches. They were made so the crystal must be unscrewed to put the watch in set mode, so it couldn’t be done by accident or a bored worker fiddling with it.
I loved your review so much (as well as others) that I actually bought the watch. One of the strong points for me, except the vibe alarm, was that screen visibility. Well you know what, I personally don't find the display that good. The arrangement of all the information on the display is good but the display itself is kind of dark or opaque. I also have a G7900 and that's a visible display.
Interesting, I have never had any issues with the clarity of my 350's display. It has always been very sharp and clear even when compared to my 7900. Either way it's good that you have both to get the screen quality that you are looking for.
Man, I get so frustrated at myself when I realize I forget to talk about a major function of a watch. I'm telling you, once the camera starts rolling your brain functions at about 50% capacity.
Hi, What version has the red top section that you mention? Also, I have seen versions with touch of red color of bottom right corner of the timer. Have you seen that version?
I'm not exactly sure what the model # is. The top section isn't always red though, it's only red when the light is on. It's probably the version that you mentioned with the red on the bottom right corner.
Yeah it happens sometimes. You'll find that when you're recording something your brain works at 50% capacity. I'll probably do an updated review soon and cover it then.
@@degenerateWA Its Cool buddy I am glad you took this well I liked your review when i commented Because it was obvious that you knew about the feature but forgot to mention it and the rest of the video was good Heck, i ve never posted any video So you are better than me in atleast one way
@@degenerateWA I like buying watches and gold on Walmart because it is a reliable place. I have been buying real gold chain in Walmart and they never fade out. About the G shocks from Walmart, I know they are brand new and I have a good warranty. Last week I purchased a fitness blue navy GBD-100 negative face, but walmart didn't have so I bought on Amazon for $ 150 plus tax. I am on expectation to get it on my mail box by any moment. 👍
😂 good point Perfect timing. Looking at it again. I have the GAS100-1B solar. Black with blue trim. I want to exchange but the GAS100 looks more casual. Thank you. I appreciate your style of review.
The green screen remind me tactical operation on the ocean 🌊. Great!!!

You missed to explain about one very unique and important feature on this watch, THE VIBRATION MODE
D'oh! I need to do an updated review on this watch anyways. It'll be coming soon.
Maybe i didn't catch but I think you missed to mention the main peculiar thing of this model: the vibe alarm
You're right, I totally forgot to mention it. You'd be surprised how dumb your brain gets as soon as the camera turns on lol.
@@degenerateWA I have the one you are looking for with the red luminous stripe: gd-350-1er
I have this watch. One of my favorite items I own.
I'm getting into fibro watches.
Having this kind of alarm for veey urgent situations or for important things is a must!
Yes, a very useful tool especially when watch tones are normally not loud enough to hear in a busy environment.

@@degenerateWA - I tried a channel of my own once. It didn't last long because of this very point. It's not as easy as it looks.

I paid $89 plus tax on walmart this week.
Walmart deals are the best.
