If you want to see some other shops I recommend for basics, I have a video on the channel called, ‘The Best Quality Affordable Fashion Brands.’ Thanks for watching
Hey Harry, thanks for some great content. Always thrilled to see what you put out there. I've been looking for a shirt just as the one you are wearing. Where is it from? Cheers
Just to give an idea of how good Uniqlo used to be, I still have a couple of white supima t-shirts from around 2014 which have had over 200-300 wears and washes, no rips, stitching is still good and it still fits perfectly.
@@Sirin111 Always wash separately. White and color. You can soak your clothings before washing in hot water and bicarbonate (soda powder) mixed with vinegar.
They don't last like that anymore? Unfortunate. I've bought several Uniqlo shirts this year. Guess I'll have to see how long they last before buying more.
@@jackmanleblanc2518 nah, the ones I got were made in Cambodia using a higher quality cotton, could be wrong but the ones now are made in India with lower quality cotton
They’ve gone from $30 hoodies, to $40 for a few months. and now have settled with $50 ! Insanity. Many things have gone up in price but the basic sweatshirts is what blows me away. Their chinos too have gotten more expensive but have also become thinner
The biggest problem I have with Uniqlo is their sizing is outrageously variable. Without changing my own dimensions in a one year period I have found clothes there that fit me ranging from XS to Large. Its not so problematic when shopping in their stores, but its impossible to know what size to order on new items and most importantly, they charge you for shipping on returns.
yep. someone who gets it. i like my uniqlo pieces but its always a struggle to buy their pieces, especially online. I outgrew a small now, so I dont wear their smalls anymore, but even picking between medium to large can be troubling. I often resort to their tshirts now, because if I have a Tshirt in a large, it just comes off as a baggy Tee. Their hoodies i absolutely avoid, cuz even tho Im an average medium to large, their hoodie sizings are way too tight: but then an XL fits too giant on me
And then to add insult to injury, you can only return items to the same store you bought them from, and online orders must be returned by mail (no in-store returns).
Since the fashion trend is moving towards a relaxed fit, more items in Uniqlo's line are also becoming more relaxed compared to years ago. I don't think it's really their fault because they're just following the market. They usually have a description somewhere in the item page about how the clothing is supposed to fit you. For me, it's always M top and S bottom no matter the type of clothing and the always fit me. My brother who doesn't wear oversized items always choose a size smaller if an item is oversized/relaxed fit.
The prices are definitely higher, but I always found them to lean towards "thin". I live in the sub-tropics so I can't complain. I prefer their collabs.
I love the Airism line, but I must admit this year I got most of my basics from weekday. Maybe because they are a bit edgier and feel just right for the post-lockdown summer.
Absolutely agree here regarding their U t-shirt, I absolutely loved the boxy fit it had. Now, they just feel too slim for my liking. I couldn't believe how the fit could drastically change. Now looking at other places for a similar look and feel.
After watching so many videos in this channel talking how wonderful Uniqlo it is, I finally decided to go shopping at the store and I spend a solid $600 on basics, a week later I face this video saying its better to spend my money somewhere else lmao I love it.
Hahaha. It’s still decent. It’s just not as good as it once was. If you have seen the pieces in person and felt them and liked them then you are all good.
Hi! It's me again lol. Why am i seeing these kind of videos of yours so late about conversses and how to style them especially wearing trousers. I am in love with trousers, this helped me a lot I swear. Keep uploading more videos like this, you're helping a lot of people. Thank you, Harry! Love from Philippines
My issue with most brands especially Ralph Lauren is that their quality and fit have gone bad over the years, most new brands such as Uniqlo started by impressing just to attract customers and after making their name they start cheating on the quality for more gains, corporate greed.
Agree with you RL has gone down the drain, the clothing stretches out throughout the day I hate it. I returned something back just not worth the price for the low quality .
I was a big fan of the supima tees when I first started buying Uniqlo basics. But after multiple washes, the shape just didn't hold up well anymore. Then I switched to buying U tees since the heavier weight material overall felt nicer, but as you said it's quite a rough texture. It's still nice looking but it's not exactly comfortable when wearing it in a hot and humid weather. Now I only buy the airism U tees which in my opinion is the best one. The sleeve is slightly too long but I usually roll it up.
I can sense their change recently, although personally Uniqlo is still very much my go-to for basics. But their supima tees increased in price and some of their product lineups changed. For instance, their soft touch long sleeve t shirts now has sweatshirt style wrist when they have actual sweatshirts and sweater lineup, which wasn't the case back then so it is somewhat redundant. And the pocket oversized tee lost the different front-back length, small detail which I liked. Also for some reason they don't promote Airism as much anymore. Good thing is that U Tees, my absolute favorite are still perfect. Well, maybe other than for the white color not being actual white.
The thing I've found with Uniqlo, is that the sizing can be so off, even in the same tshirt, I've bought 3 tshirts at the same time in the same style just different colours, and they are all of different lengths.

@@quanahabshire7066 sorry to hear that. Personally I’ve had good experience with their Luxury Touch line (tshirts, polos) and their merino wool sweaters.
Same, the Gap in my opinion is more affordable than Uniqlo for basics and the quality I find is either the same or better than Uniqlo. I honestly never understood the hype around Uniqlo, I like their clothing but I wouldn't say it's the best option for basics. Plus the Gap has sales all the time and it's a much more affordable option than Uniqlo where I live.
I agree. I bought several heattech tshirts in 2018 which are still completely in tact after all these years of wearing and washing. Recently I decided to restock and buy some new heattech tops but they started to already fluff up after a few washes. The newer version of the extra warm heattech also has a less refined finishing around the neckline and a rougher texture on the inside.
Uniqlo used to be my go-to option when I first started working, as well as my fashion journey, thanks to their simplicity & affordability. But now I’m leaning towards having less, but higher quality pieces. All in all, Still a good place to start
Totally agree with you....the quality goes down in last few years. Its more like H&M and other fast fashion brand. But the prices goes quite high. I am very frequent buyer of UNIQLO brand. I seriously notice the issues you mentioned. I started shopping the stuff only when they are on sale. I am not paying full price for this quality.
Uniqlo was my go to brand before but the the last year the quality has gone down and the prices has gone up, the quality is still fine but more like h&m in the 2000s to early 10s now but not what Uniqlo was before where I feed I got a quality that was 3 times worth the price. For me the things that are still good to buy from Uniqlo is the jackets and most things from the colabs, I will also day that if you have the option to try it on in store do that since Uniqlos sizes now a days is changing from collection to collection
hello from 2023 and supima tee’s are now $25. i remember when i started college (2018) they used to be $10 and i really should’ve bought A BUNCH cuz i still have the old ones and feel AMAZING after washing and drying for 5 years!!
@@HarryHas Brands like COS and Arket. If its possible to do higher end brands then go for it too. Would be interesting to see how higher end brands hold up over the years.
I was thinking this same thing. I went to the uniqlo flagship store and noticed that the prices definitely hiked up for their $6 shirt without the quality (which I always found lacking) going up. People always referred to uniqlo as affordable, but $20+ for a cheapo t-shirt just seems a bit much. I don't think I'll be shopping at Uniqlo for shirts atleast anymore. Their non denim bottoms can be of kind of questionable quality too tbh.
The first U collection was great and was the best hoodie I ever bought from Uniqlo. Nowadays, Uniqlo prices are very high, especially in Europe; I don't know if it's the same in the US. In China and Japan, they are still very reasonably priced. But in Europe, it's almost always double the price when compared to Japan and China.
I bought a grey polo Pique shirt from Uniqlo back in 2016, and guess hat, no signs of fading, the pique fabric is still intact. just crazy, its been 6 years but still good. but idk, i bought new pique polos couple of weeks ago but the quality is ay different now
I actually really like all the shirts I've picked up from Uniqlo this year. If the quality isn't there, then that's fine. I'll just wear them until they start to have holes ore the collar starts to look bad and maybe replace them with a more expensive brand then. I always have in my budget a section where I slowly add $10-$15 a month for basics in case I need some more.
Nice video, just started watching from Aus. Your Uniqlo vids are what made me give their U shirts a try when I was looking for basic T's, shame they've gone down a bit. Would be nice to see a comprison to other afforable brands that are around. Love your stuff mate, cheers.
Long time no hear, sorry for that mate. Was surprised but actually as well had some issues with Uniqlo recently. Bought an Iron free shirt which directly ripped. where I still like the Oxford shirts The dress shirts are not for me anymore. Love still the sweaters especially as not as thick. So that’s fine for me. Enjoy your Sunday, cheers 🙏🏻
Of course, it all depends on the budget. I still think that among the mass markets they still remain one of the best. Uniqlo products should definitely last for a long time and they have a modern, trendy silhouette. This is enough to enter the world of fashion. I also have similar ankle pants and I also don't like how wide they look at the bottom. So I went to the atelier and asked to make them narrower in width for $ 10 By the way, this overshirt looks really cool on you, I hope you keep it! Sorry for my bad english! Great video as always. My favorite channel
The overshirt felt a lot bigger on than it looked. I did quite like the look of it in the end. Uniqlo is a great introduction into fashion but they need to get back to what they did before. Thanks for watching mate
Maybe on the rest but I gotta say Uniqlo is on my top tier brands of all time, they U Airness line is amazing and I just copped some jeans from they and dAMN I love them
Had a few thoughts on this Harry. There's a massive drive towards reducing cotton production due to its effects on the climate. So many places are recycling. Also with historical prices. We can't expect them to stay that cheap forever especially with inflation and people being paid a fair wage to work for a clothing company. But even in terms of business strategy if you start off cheap once you've got people through the door you put prices up. So all in all I feel there are reasonable factors for the difference in product but I can appreciate why people might sway if a product isn't what it was. If uniqlo isn't as good for basics which one is?
I don’t think recycling is a factor here. I also don’t think that recycling means a poorer finish on products. I have plenty of pieces made from recycled materials and they are great. I get they need to put prices up but they could keep their products to the same standards they were before. If they are selling poorer quality pieces for higher prices, it’s not going to make me want to buy them. I agree prices can’t stay the same forever and I expect them to go up but at least keep the product to a decent standard
i actually live minutes away from uniqlo and was there few days ago buying tee,s,socks, boxers, the price has gone up and the fit is snug, but over all i still like them, now pants, most shirts i buy else where because i feel that the fit for me can be off ,although i just bought a shirt a month ago and did like the boxy feel of it, some of there stuff works and some do not.have a great safe week ,thanks for being on channel when i wake up on sundays lol,👍🌻🇺🇸🇺🇦
I got into Uniqlo laround 2018, but even then the Supima shirts were like 7 or 9.99 and they were my go tos for quite sometime. Last time I ordered them, there was a disappointingly noticeable change in quality and fit, as well as the new 14.99 pricing :/
Mango Man is the best, hands down. Zara quality is good but the direction they have gone in is more of the hip tiktok style rather than proper menswear. Currently working on my fall wardrobe and atleast half of it is from Mango Man. Seriously impressive stuff for the cost. Mango outlet also is nice if you need a more affordable option. Snagged 3 shirts, 2 polos, some pants, and a sweater for $110. Same quality as Mango Man just not current collection.
While I still prefer UNIQLO to most other alternatives at that price range, they can be hit or miss these days. I feel like they really struggle with their pricing at the moment. Theire now more expensive pieces still feel great most of the time but in some areas they seem hesentint to raise prices enough to keep the quailty. Which makes sence, the raw materials have gotten crazy expensive over the last couple of years. I hope they focus more on the quality part of the brand again, even if it comes with more price incresses.
Maybe just where you live or something, I shop at Uniqlo in the soho region at Manhattan, and their stuff is perfect. Wearing their airism tee as I type this. Also, their socks are so damn good.
I loved Uniqlo when I lived in Japan years ago. I've gone to Uniqlo sometimes in the states and only get Airism or Heattech. They're really not worth it on value with the amount of superior competitor products you can get on sale or secondhand. If you're on the shorter or thinner end they have more options I suppose.
Calvin klein to me is the best for affordable basics. Tommy hilfiger too, depends what style do you prefer. Th is more 90s indpired while ck is a mire modern take on it.
I bought a bunch of the heavyweight U shirts and Supimas during 2020 when they’d always go on sale for $9-$14 USD. Was honestly surprised when I went in recently and say they both had basically doubled in price 💀
Hey Harry, great video. I was wondering if their jackets worth the price for the quality and fit, specially the new MA-1 Blouson. Could you make a video about it in the future?
I know others are in different financial positions but if I'm picking up a plain coloured tshirt or similar I'd always go for a slightly better quality piece I know will still look good for years.
Don’t get me wrong, I definitely believe people when they say Uniqlo has gone downhill but I feel like the video would’ve been better if you had actual older pieces to compare it to and not just going off of memory and anecdotes
I still have the older pieces but they have been washed so much that it wouldn’t be a fair comparison. I only have the memories of when the pieces I already owned were brand new. If I could buy old seasons brand new and compare them I would but it doesn’t work like that unfortunately
Uniqlo is OK for the price but I’d rather spend more and buy better, their quality has decreased over the years IMO. Uniqlo U is still better than the standard range.
Nice video as always! Would be cool to see this kinda of update video every 1 or 2 years! By the way, have you ever tried the brand Muji? It got solid basics as well
yeah i think muji garments are so underrated!! almost never heard anyone talking about it? I switched from uniqlo to muji cuz the quality is waaayyy better. In fact they use organic cotton and so much more on using natural fibres which I prefer. only certain areas they use nylon/polyester to make them waterproof for instance. but you can tell how much cotton/linen and sometimes lyocell they use for their garments
yeah the prices have increased indead but so have the national living and minimum wages. i have no idea whether the quality has reduced but the prices have efinetely stayed the same inflation adjusted!
Yes of course inflation is always going to be a factor and if prices don’t rise on their pieces then something has to give. If they are going to increase the price to cover their costs, then I’d hope they are doing it to not sacrifice the quality.
Quality on regular Uniqlo pieces has never been the best, except for a few pieces like their Blocktech line which is really impressive, Airism tees as well as their socks. Where Uniqlo really stands out is when they make collabs with runway designers. That’s when you get amazing quality (not to mention the top notch designs) and great value for money. I think the collabs really is what makes shopping at Uniqlo worth it.
@@xenofyl1 What do you mean examples? Examples of what hasn’t excited me? If that’s the case - nothing has excited me from the recent JW Anderson collabs, the Jil Sander collabs or the recent Marni collab. I haven’t bought anything from a collaboration for years. The last time I did was probably the JW Anderson collab in 2019 or 2020.
@@HarryHas Ok so that’s what I thought. You’re just expressing random opinions with little to no ground to support them. You can’t make a whole video saying “this is bad because, I remember it to be better in the past”. This is not how you gauge the quality of a garment. And when asked about the quality of of Uniqlo’s collabs you just dismiss all of them when every renowned fashion critic has been going on about what incredible value for money each collab is. I’m not defending Uniqlo at all costs I’m just underlining the holes in your arguments and the fact that your opinion only rely on very narrow-minded tastes that shouldn’t be shared as something of value for others.
@@xenofyl1 This whole channel is based on my opinion. My opinion on what's stylish or good quality isn't always going to line up with everyone else's. We all have our own tastes and preferences, but I am sharing mine. As I mention in the video, these are the items I bought from them on the regular. I still own and wear my old pieces but they have been washed hundreds of times, so all I can go on is the memory of how they were when brand new. It would be unfair to compare a t-shirt that has been through the wash hundreds of times with something brand new. The fashion critics you are talking about are giving their opinion on why they think it's incredible value for money. Everything anyone says is all based on their opinion and what they deem as being good quality or what's stylish to them. You can choose to take or leave their opinion, but if it works for you and you like the clothing, then what anyone else says should make no difference. I haven't liked the look of anything from the recent collab drops, so I didn't buy anything from them. That doesn't mean it's not incredible value for people who like it, it's just not incredible value to me.
I remember when I made my first and only order from them. A whole bunch of fashion UA-camrs went on and on about how great they were so I ordered two shirts and they came in smelling horrible like mildew/ mold. I never ordered anything again after that. Nothing that’s brand new should smell like that
@@sashabelkov916 unfortunately I don’t have a lot of extra income. So when I make a purchase even if it’s on the lower end/ affordable things. I expect it to have some sort of quality and cleanliness to it. I don’t think I’ll purchase from them again at least not online.
Harry have you worn selvedge denim before if not can you make a video how to style them. Cuz I just bought selvedge jeans recently in uniqlo and I loved the fit
The Airism U oversized shirt is still by far my favorite shirt but with sweatshirts or hoodies and the likes i feel like they're not worth the money. H&Ms basic hoodie is great and cost literally half as much.
Harry, I dont really think that Supima cotton t-shirt's cost was ever 5 pounds. Could you possibly confused it with Dry crew neck t-shirt which is 8 pounds now?
I haven't bought anything bfrom uniqlo in more than 5 years, I have most of all basic from early uniqlo that I still wear... The quality is drop massively, i agree with you about the waffle shirt i have the short sleeves black and army long sleeves from their early collection and the quality is better but the fit is to big...even their discounts not worth the price 😆
In my country Uniqlo seems to be a bit of a “luxury brand” since it seems to be a bit expensive for the common person so the majority just purchase non branded clothes online
I don't think the supima tee was so cheap, I got one like 5 years ago it was around 10, there was another one that cost around 5 but it wasn't made of supima cotton 🤔
they seem to have leaned heavily on to synth fabrics, they don't even carry 100% wool smart trousers, which were reasonably good value. Knits are still OK, I guess, though you can get same quality cashmere for less, cotton is quite bad now and has a weird smell.
Well the problem is my old pieces (which I still own) have been washed so many times so they don’t feel the same as they did when they were brand new. There isn’t a way to get old seasons brand new so all I can go off is my memory of them when they were new

Uniqlo used to be my go-to option when I first started working, as well as my fashion journey, thanks to their simplicity & affordability. But now I’m leaning towards having less, but higher quality pieces. All in all, Still a good place to start
It’s definitely a good introduction to fashion
what are the brands are you going for these days?
Totally agree with you....the quality goes down in last few years. Its more like H&M and other fast fashion brand. But the prices goes quite high. I am very frequent buyer of UNIQLO brand. I seriously notice the issues you mentioned. I started shopping the stuff only when they are on sale. I am not paying full price for this quality.
'not paying full price for this quality' exactly what was I thinking 😭🤣🤣 very disappointed with their quality deteriorates
I adore their cashmere pieces, specifically the scarves and wool/cashmere chesterfield coat.
Great to see this honest review Harry thanks ☺️
Thanks for watching 🙏
this was such a fun video to watch yay!
I think this was a perfectly balanced review. Maybe you could do this sorta video for other brands?
Thanks mate. I did enjoy making this one and can do. What brands would you like to see?
It has got expensive for some items for sure
The first U collection was great and was the best hoodie I ever bought from Uniqlo. Nowadays, Uniqlo prices are very high, especially in Europe; I don't know if it's the same in the US. In China and Japan, they are still very reasonably priced. But in Europe, it's almost always double the price when compared to Japan and China.
Outstanding video. Much needed.
I bought a grey polo Pique shirt from Uniqlo back in 2016, and guess hat, no signs of fading, the pique fabric is still intact. just crazy, its been 6 years but still good. but idk, i bought new pique polos couple of weeks ago but the quality is ay different now
I used to work at the Beverly center one back in 2016-17 and yes the quality was definitely better and the pricing. Now prices went up
I actually really like all the shirts I've picked up from Uniqlo this year. If the quality isn't there, then that's fine. I'll just wear them until they start to have holes ore the collar starts to look bad and maybe replace them with a more expensive brand then. I always have in my budget a section where I slowly add $10-$15 a month for basics in case I need some more.
I used to order from Qniqlo quite often, mostly t-shirts & jackets.
I haven't ordered anything since they started charging to return items 🤷🏼♂️
the U shirt actually softens up quite a lot after a few washes. i sized up and it is comfy
Nice video, just started watching from Aus. Your Uniqlo vids are what made me give their U shirts a try when I was looking for basic T's, shame they've gone down a bit. Would be nice to see a comprison to other afforable brands that are around. Love your stuff mate, cheers.
Thanks for the support mate. The U tee for the price is still not a bad buy, I just wish it was the same as it was
Couldn't agree more, the quality has dropped off a cliff last 1-1.5 years. Another great and informative vid mate, nice job!
Thanks a lot mate. Appreciate it
Long time no hear, sorry for that mate.
No worries man. Good to hear from you. They are a bit hit and miss aren’t they! Thanks mate. Have a good one too
The waffle(?) full sleeve olive green looks really good on you.
Uniqlo in Japan has a companion store called GU. It's a cheaper and more fashioned-forward version of Uniqlo. Great for basics.
I love their oversized shirt jackets, have them in different colours. They're versatile and quality is really nice.
So I went to the atelier and asked to make them narrower in width for $ 10
By the way, this overshirt looks really cool on you, I hope you keep it!
Sorry for my bad english! Great video as always. My favorite channel
The overshirt felt a lot bigger on than it looked. I did quite like the look of it in the end. Uniqlo is a great introduction into fashion but they need to get back to what they did before. Thanks for watching mate
Maybe on the rest but I gotta say Uniqlo is on my top tier brands of all time, they U Airness line is amazing and I just copped some jeans from they and dAMN I love them
That’s great if you love it and it works for you!
I totally agree with your observations! Thought I was the only one noticing these
Glad to hear
For basics, i find AS Color has the best. Their t-shirt range and hoodie range is super good.
If not Uniqlo, what other brands would you recommend for decent quality basics?
I have a video on the channel about that (although Uniqlo featured in it)
Big like for you and for video author.Hoping he read comments and reply to us with that requested video.
@@HarryHas that's fair enough ☺️ I do like this kind of video. Good to keep an eye on these things. COS next?
@@harryarigby I was thinking of doing COS next actually as there is some bits I would like to pick up. Glad you liked the video
Great video! But I would’ve preferred if you compared them to other brands like Weekday, Asos, COS etc. as we don’t have Uniqlo where I live.
I can always do that in another video. Glad you enjoyed it
Me being in Japan Uniqlo and G.U are very cheap so it’s still a yes for me but damn prices in other countries are high.
i actually live minutes away from uniqlo and was there few days ago buying tee,s,socks, boxers, the price has gone up and the fit is snug, but over all i still like them, now pants, most shirts i buy else where because i feel that the fit for me can be off ,although i just bought a shirt a month ago and did like the boxy feel of it, some of there stuff works and some do not.have a great safe week ,thanks for being on channel when i wake up on sundays lol,👍🌻🇺🇸🇺🇦
Thanks for watching mate. Have a good Sunday
I could be wrong Harry but I think I remember the Supima Cotton Tees being $9.99 but they would often go on sale for $4.99.
You are probably right mate
I got into Uniqlo laround 2018, but even then the Supima shirts were like 7 or 9.99 and they were my go tos for quite sometime. Last time I ordered them, there was a disappointingly noticeable change in quality and fit, as well as the new 14.99 pricing :/
Looking now and the Supima Tee is now £19.90!
Nice video✌️
Video on dancer outfits please
Thanks. What do you mean, ‘dancer outfits?’ I’m not a dancer
@@HarryHas Not Dancer But you Can suggest Best😂
I agree with you, I can feel the quality a bit diff from previous items.
Just curious is there a better quality brand at the same price point?Any recommendations?
Maybe just where you live or something, I shop at Uniqlo in the soho region at Manhattan, and their stuff is perfect. Wearing their airism tee as I type this. Also, their socks are so damn good.
I loved Uniqlo when I lived in Japan years ago. I've gone to Uniqlo sometimes in the states and only get Airism or Heattech.
They're really not worth it on value with the amount of superior competitor products you can get on sale or secondhand. If you're on the shorter or thinner end they have more options I suppose.
once i knew about pima quality, i quite picky for basic tshirt .. it feels a lot better in comfort and durability than other cotton type tshirt
If it’s uniqlo then i would always go for the airsm tshirts. They are my favorite ones ever. The oversized ones.
A lot of people like those. The sleeves are way too long for me
Their oversized Airism Tees are real nice. A bit pricey but if you're going for a Kanye-Esque look they are a good option
As a stocky guy, i have trouble looking for their Tshirts. Seems all sizes are "slim" cuts.
I was a bit put off when I ordered a Uniqlo U T-shirt to replace the one I already had and it ended up fitting completely different.
Hey Harry, great vid as always. What are the jeans you’re wearing here?
Where can I buy good quality basics ?
@@josejavierreynosod.6503 Depends on your budget
@@josejavierreynosod.6503 I like Arket and Everlane.
Nice video as always! Would be cool to see this kinda of update video every 1 or 2 years! By the way, have you ever tried the brand Muji? It got solid basics as well
Thanks mate. I know them but haven’t tried anything from them. I’ll try and get some to try
I love stationary and drawing papers from Muji. But haven't they went bankrupt in North America?
yeah i think muji garments are so underrated!! almost never heard anyone talking about it? I switched from uniqlo to muji cuz the quality is waaayyy better. In fact they use organic cotton and so much more on using natural fibres which I prefer. only certain areas they use nylon/polyester to make them waterproof for instance. but you can tell how much cotton/linen and sometimes lyocell they use for their garments
I recently (February) picket up the boxy u T-shirt and thought it was similar to the ones I got a few years back. (Bought it in a store in Berlin)
I'm not sure if the brand rare rabbit sells there but in my place i really prefer them and marks and Spencers.
WHERE IS THE SHIRT THAT HE IS WEARING FROM?!??!? I want it so bad but I can’t find a link or anything
Do you mind linking the black trousers? I love the fit of those
Take a shot every time he said "as how i remember"
Where did you buy the blue shirt you used for the thumbnail the fit looks great
yeah the prices have increased indead but so have the national living and minimum wages. i have no idea whether the quality has reduced but the prices have efinetely stayed the same inflation adjusted!
It hasn’t been great for a while on the collab front in my opinion. Not for a couple of years
@@HarryHas do you have examples?
Nothing that’s brand new should smell like that
That’s a shame. I’ve never had that problem with them
I am pretty sure it is was an accident
You probably should give it another chance
@@sashabelkov916 unfortunately I don’t have a lot of extra income. So when I make a purchase even if it’s on the lower end/ affordable things. I expect it to have some sort of quality and cleanliness to it. I don’t think I’ll purchase from them again at least not online.
Harry have you worn selvedge denim before if not can you make a video how to style them. Cuz I just bought selvedge jeans recently in uniqlo and I loved the fit
I have but I ended up selling them.
where did you get your shirt from? looks so nice
Weekday. Thanks a lot
@@HarryHas Do know the exact name of the shirt from Weekday? Quite like the way it looks and want to cop one for myself.
Living in an apartment, I tend to tumble dry, and Unqilo is really bad for tumble drying as it shrink alot
I'm still wearing my U tee from like 5 years ago (which I got oversized)
The Airism U oversized shirt is still by far my favorite shirt but with sweatshirts or hoodies and the likes i feel like they're not worth the money. H&Ms basic hoodie is great and cost literally half as much.
Harry, I dont really think that Supima cotton t-shirt's cost was ever 5 pounds. Could you possibly confused it with Dry crew neck t-shirt which is 8 pounds now?
Could be. This was about 8 or 9 years ago so could be getting confused. Either way, it’s too expensive for what it is
@@HarryHas but what are the alternatives? :)
Harry always hitting us with the 🤔
I agree with you, tshirt quality not like before.
To be fair tshirts look great on u.
Uniqlo U oversize ones are definitely the best on the market for the price. Still a fan of their pieces.
Glad I’m not imagining things. Thanks for watching mate
"unique clothing" its definitely popular in Asia esp in the Phil..love their clothes 😁
For everyone: which is the best place for trousers? I'd like to buy some black as the ones in the video
I have a video coming soon! 👍
they seem to have leaned heavily on to synth fabrics, they don't even carry 100% wool smart trousers, which were reasonably good value. Knits are still OK, I guess, though you can get same quality cashmere for less, cotton is quite bad now and has a weird smell.
Haven't thought about it a lot, but it's probably has been 2+ years since if found anything there that I end up keeping.
It’s the same with me.
Robert Barakett have what I would consider the perfect tshirt. With Jos a banks reserve right behind it
I’ve not tired either. I’ll look into them
Pull & Bear for me is the best for basics
Also I'd much prefer an actual side by side rather than "I remember it feeling", since memory is notoriously unreliable
Well the problem is my old pieces (which I still own) have been washed so many times so they don’t feel the same as they did when they were brand new. There isn’t a way to get old seasons brand new so all I can go off is my memory of them when they were new
