I’ve always considered COS a bit too ‘nice’ to call their clothes ‘basic’. I have a few pieces from them myself - including a gorgeous 100% cashmere hoodie - and I’m very happy with all of them. One gripe I do have is that their clothes tend to be regular fitting or relaxed / oversized, so if you’re looking for slimmer fits you might not find them at COS. Loved the video! P. S. All this goes for casual clothes only. I’ve tried their tailoring a couple of times and been disappointed with both the fit and the quality. For tailoring I’d look elsewhere.
Absolutely! For somebody with smaller (petite?) build like me (5'7" - 60kg) their regular fit has gone so big (wide, and way too long) over the last couple of years, now even some XS pieces in their recent collections drown me. Basically I've stopped buying from the mens' selection and been looking into the womens' side instead. Many are unisex and they fit way better (nice cropped fit if you're into that kind of silhouette like me). Really recommend the womens' "REGULAR-FIT HEAVYWEIGHT T-SHIRT" in M or L for guys with similar build.
@@salvatore5553 Basic brands, really. I like banana republic and levi’s. And for a similar look to COS, try the brand American Vintage (they’re French, funnily enough). This last one is pricier, but they make great quality clothing.
I need to pick up some of those regular fit tees they look great! I am overflowing boxy oversized tees at the moment haha. Great overview mate - I am obsessed with COS!
I'd always overlooked COS, but this video woke me up to the fact their style is right up my street. Thanks for all the content Harry, it's really helped me consider progressing with my own style, I love the concept of simple, minimal and versatile good quality clothing. I'm surprised you have never mentioned Percival in your content, they can be a bit flamboyant but they do put out a lot of 'basics with a twist' and the quality is decent.
I don't think COS can be qualified for "Wardrobe Basics". The length of the clothes are always a bit too much and so are the designs. Asket/Arket does a better job at "Basics".
I just bought a pair of COS trousers and they're lovely, however the pockets are a little too shallow. I had to return them and order a size up, because their waist size isn't quite TTS, runs a little small. Customer service is excellent, got through to a human being straight away.
Have to check them out, hope there’s a cos in cologne or Düsseldorf city. The trousers look good, looking for a casual elegant dress and don’t find trousers in Uniqlo. The chinos are great but the other pants they have are 7/8 and everytime look strange on me. Thanks for the review Harry, will check them out, have a great Sunday mate 👍🏻🙏🏻
COS is a bit more pricier than Uniqlo/H&M to be classed as basics but it’s definitely a step up in quality for the price. I recently purchased a COS regular tee and agree it’s a tad long but really like the quality and fit. My only other COS item is a parka which is one of my favourite pieces.
Have gravitated towards COS as I feel they have more variety of “basics” if that makes sense compared with others atm. Great vid mate! Hope you are well
I love COS but have real beef with their trousers - very very rare that they stock long lengths, so even though the cut and colour is perfect, I can't buy them as a 6ft4 bloke!
I like the black trousers. It has a decent fit. What's the inseam length? And the size of the leg opening of these trousers? I wanted to taper my old bootcut wide trousers
I was in cos recently and was really disappointed. Their variety of styles was poor . It's great for t shirts but not much more than that at the moment. Hopefully their autumn winter range is better than current
Have just discovered Cos through this video and am wearing a very nice jumper I bought on Depop, loving the channel. On the subject of plain tees though, particularly slim fit, what is the best out there? I am currently on M&S since they're well priced but find them slightly baggy and long. Likewise 30 inch waist and 6ft (though 78kg... almost same 😅) so very much into the same fits 🙏
My issue with cos is that for some reason it has literally zero trouser options for me in a size 33 or 34 waist. Any time I look it brings up like 5 pairs of ugly jeans only unfortunately. Because of this I never bother to consider looking at it.
have you tried any COS shoes? Saw a pair of chelsea boots on the website and wondering if it'd be worth investing in a different brand that focuses on boots specifically.
Cos is a bit annoying as someone on the shorter end (5'7) because their XS for tops can vary wildly in size. Sometimes it's way too small, and other times they're huge on me. It becomes a gamble. Every once in a while I'll find something that fits perfectly. I wish they had reviews on their website so people could share this info with each other before buying, and the garment sizing info is not adequate most of the time. The quality is excellent but I have to take so many of their items to the tailor to get them to fit properly. The women's section does have some gems that I think are gender neutral. You could wear them and no one would notice that it's a women's piece. I love their pants too. Bit of a love/hate relationship with Cos right now, but when it's on sale I always grab a few items.
Absolutely agree! I'm of the (more or less) same build (5'7" - 60kg) and can't recommend the womens' "REGULAR-FIT HEAVYWEIGHT T-SHIRT" enough. This has been one of my best finds this year from COS.
@@FabulousResults Lol! I have somewhat narrow shoulders so usually I'd go for M from the womens' side. L's fit too but recently I'm more into this "relaxed/baggy pants and fitted&cropped tops (not necessarily slim-fitting)" silhouette so M's do the trick. Another reason is that some womens' pieces have wider neckline (especially knits/sweaters) which I don't like at all.
Every time you state your measurements, all i can think is "Damn, my guy has it all; handsome, tall, fit, beard, lots of hair". Great vid btw; only heard about cos from you, never seen it this side of the pond. Keep up w/the great work. See ya!

I have had the brushed cotton tee from COS in Medium, Large and XL. They all shrink sooooo much, so all had to go to my girlfriend. The brushed surface is a "cheap" way to give any fabric a smooth and soft feel, so in my opinion this is a good example of you get what you pay for. I love cos myself, but it’s a bit "here and there" for what products are actually good quality. Great video buddy 😊👍🏻
