7:30 "So many things are broken". I learned this lesson when working doing slimestone: When working with lots of pistons, do NOT test the build you are building directly. Make a /clone or worldedit copy, and test that instead. You may want to use a carpet rule or worldedit config to disable block updates when you make the copy, so that observers and block update detectors don't pulse. One way to do this is to have a "build" copy and a "test" copy, and re-use the same command to repeatedly overwrite the test copy each time you test. This way takes up only twice as much space as if you just have one copy for building and testing. The other method is to lazily just start building on the test copy whenever the test doesn't break the test copy, this saves the time of going back to the build copy (at the cost of later modifying your copying command), and if you make a new different test copy whenever you need to test, you end up with a long term "history" of your progress, allowing you to "revert" large changes you didn't like by just using the old "build" copies. This does end up taking up a lot of space though, as you gradually make a long line of copies of your build. Not that "space" in a creative world matters much. I hope my explanation makes sense.
yeah I already take copies with world edit / litematica, but just didn't bother to this time, since I was pretty sure it was gonna work and cuz it's still a relatively small door
I prefer using structure blocks, this also "solves" the "problem" of it taking up multiple spots. You just save the build, test right there with the original and if it breaks you reload it. Only one place needed. And you can still make multiple in progress copies. Bonus point: it also saves entities in builds that need hopper minecarts, allays or armorstands!
@@lordquadrato437 I dislike that structure blocks are slower to use, and that they have size limits. Lately I’ve switched over to using axiom (a mod) for this, and it works better than either of the vanilla options.
This is such a fun video! I'm working on getting better with 0-tick redstone, and am probably going to start doing more redstone content on my channel. I love your content.

Now imagine using this in a horror map, where you make a corridor that repeats the patern of the opened door, but only one of them have the zero tick door, plus there being pressure plates on the whole floor, so you don't know what's gonna happen, and all of a sudden, BAM, Mumbos face greets you.
