It kind of sounds like it would be really, really helpful to have a simple 2-button save & load mod where you select a whole area once, then before testing you hit 'save', test, then can instantly reload the area back to the previous state, and do that many times without needing to reselect the area or navigate a saves menu as current solutions would probably make you do.

Small Tipp for avoiding the rebuild process: Just use Two commandblocks with the Clint Command 1 to clone from a Storage Location to your Build and one to put your cutten Status back to the Storage Location

That way you can test it and then use another book or button or something to /clone it back.
It would be cool if you made a instant open pitfall trap like a 2x2 hallway long one and a reg 2x2 hole probably would be a easy enough thing to make for you and would be a nice video

For resetting the door, why dont you use project VCS in litematica? I also suggest using axiom to visualise copying over redstone, instead of making a whole litematic. Axiom also has symmetric building options.
