This is the Hennessey Mammoth 1000 - the most powerful pick-up truck in the world!
Think it looks familiar? Well, it does! The Mammoth is based on a Dodge RAM TRX, but it’s got a few key differences that separate it from the RAM.
For starters, let’s talk about power! It may have the same 6.2-litre supercharged V8 under the bonnet, but the power output has been dialled up! Whereas the normal RAM can produce 702hp, the Mammoth has an output of 1026hp and 1314Nm of torque! As a result, it can hit 60mph in a reported 3.2 seconds, and has a top speed of 122mph!
The exterior design has a few updates, too, including a bespoke front bumper & rear bumper along with LED lighting and unique alloy wheels. When it comes to the interior, though, less has changed. Bar some Hennessey branding on the headrests and dash, it’s identical to the usual RAM!
The Hennessey Mammoth has a starting price of $150,000, so it’s not cheap! But is it worth it? You’ll have to stick with Mat in this all-new review to see for yourself!

Perfect beginners car. Whatever happens, you can not only outrun most other vehicles, you can also overrun and ram (literally) most other vehicles, including SUVs.
I drove one, not this model, and it is immense. It is so big that it is difficult to see other vehicles. I still remember going back from the IKEA in Brooklyn to the city. Crazy.

@@richardbhagan8949 I don’t know for this Hennessy, but a TRX can only tow about 3500 Kg. If you want to tow something with a truck though you wouldn’t get a performance truck you’d most likely go for the Heavy Duty trims like RAM 2500 or 3500, with the 3500 equipped with the diesel Cummins having a capacity of ~17000 Kg

@@curtisbme Whatever. The Mammoth can run hard all day long and only need 2-3 minutes stops for fuel. "Your" Rivian will need 2-3 charges a day for extended trips and need cool down time for each hard launch. So, you can keep your battery-powered soul. :)

I suggest that you make a google doc with all the brake meters, because you are almost the only onde that does brake test, and then we could compare it with the others cars

The pickup truck is underrated.
My 44tn truck does 9.5mpg fully loaded. The Henny does similar when not towing. I hope whoever buys this has his/her own oil well.

Not bad fuel economy on the 44t truck though. I get 8 mpusg in my 27t motor coach which is about 9.5 miles per imperial gallon.

Have a 96 cadillac fleetwood 6 door limo, got a little too carefree in the winter by taking a corner too fast and locking up the sterring axel by turning too sharply(normally the length of this vehicle requires large sterring inputs) and took out a tree, just needed to fix my bumper and passenger headlight

36M is actually extremely impressive on the 60-0 brake test, on knobby tires no less. Mat recently tested an AMG GT63S and it got 33M.. crazy

You can only drive up to 3,500kg if you have a standard car driving licence. another reason it wont work in the UK
Half ton trucks have to have a gross vehicle weight rating of 8,500 lb/3855 kg or less in the US, so not really that much more than 3500 kg. The GVWR number also includes payload. The Hennessey Mammoth has a low GVWR for a half ton (performance truck kind of thing), and is rated at 7,800 lbs/3539 kg. Close enough to the 3,500 kg limit if you don't mind losing a little bit of payload capacity. Curb weight is 6,350lbs/2880 kg.
The half tons are considered full size trucks in North America. Once you get above 8,500 lbs GVWR you move into the large truck category and there is very little chance that you could get close to the 3500 kg weight cutoff. In fact the gas powered F350 DRW has a payload capacity of 8,000 lbs/3628 kg.

Trucks are all about torque and this would come in 4th for torque from the factory. It falls behind the standard output diesel in the superduty (1050 lb ft/1423 nm), the high output diesel Ram HD (1075 lb ft/1457 nm) and the high output superduty (1200 lb ft/1632 nm).
I saw an Ignition Edition of this with the Stage 2 package and the 37s. It was owned by a guy named Jeff Belzer. Owns a whole bunch of dealerships where I live.

What’s really absurd is the rest of the running gear is no different than a ram classic, so you can expect HVAC and electrical nightmares shortly after the basic warranty is up. (3 years)

I kinda like it, even though it's way too heavy for a truck of it's size but it's an amazing vehicle. And regardless of it's weight it has a very impressive acceleration and stopping distance if it's one thing. I would still give it an 8 out of 10.
It's heavy because it's reinforced ladder frame, mounts, and suspension components for blasting off road and those 37s BFG MT tires are 85 lbs each.

Ah yes , anyone's favorite allround utility / sports 4x4 , the best of all times with the Hellcat engine isn't it , well I'd love one myself . And Mat few corrections please , it will do better with improved suspension and engine settings in 0-60 and 1/4 mile times , secondly the 35's are available and 1000 times better rather than these 37's which are useless , last is that with eco mode or normal daily commute mode and normal driving style they will get a little better in terms of fuel economy. Any way awesome review video , can't wait to see some awesome drag races with this beast. Stay safe and God bless.
Hennessy removed the Hellcat engine and instead used the Hellephant engine
I’ve seen a stock one pull the same times and faster (3.7 0-60). No way this is making the claimed 1,000 hp. Even with 37s this should be running low 3s to 60 and mid to high 11s in the 1/4 if it was actually making 1,000.

It's the torque converter for sure it limits power so you don't break anything
