Watch Richard Hammond's Workshop in the UK: bit.ly/Hammond-H2-YT
Where can we watch in the US?
Climate change has been going to end the planet in the next 30 years for 60 years….
I once pooted and sharded in my car and didnt clean it for 3 months
@@kayakkevinI’m wondering the same thing. Really wanting to watch the show.
You can’t. They refuse to bring it to the US despite multiple comments on multiple social media platforms
Richard does these wistful, contemplative little films so well
His style would be perfect for an automotive tv show.
@@flatpedalswinmedals7274😅
I see what you did there
@@flatpedalswinmedals7274would be nice if he could find two hosts who could compliment his sense of humour and go on adventures together
I'd be wistful if it took that long to get to the end of my drive
I could watch Hammond's videos like these all day long - stories, chill, contemplating. I grew up with Top Gear and the Grand Tour for pretty much my entire life, so watching this is like a catch up with an old friend, seeing how they're doing.
Exactly, like catching up with an old friend. I was genuinely interested to know how they were doing and these videos pretty much does that.
I could listen to this legend driving and doing life stuff for hours.
He sounds exactly like my father did being from Wimbledon. Its uncanny!
It sounds like Richard needs a new scientific series investigating the future of motoring and personal transport!
like a new take on James May's Cars of the People series from a few years back
Haven't you heard the UK government has mandated that all our personal transport will be taken away and replaced with e-bikes.
@@ghomerhust yeah something like that, He has done a great job of making informational series’ in the past although I’m sure there’s plenty of stuff on his plate atm with the smallest cog
@@ASBO_LUTELY After seeing guy Martin ride that e bike I wouldn’t mind
And it will all be decided by the crucible of Motorsport!
It’s mad now, that Richard has simply just become another guy that lives in Ross. See him out quite often, as I live just up from his house he’s just a normal guy. Can’t knock him for that, keep doing what your doing 👌
The reason the other Top Gears didn’t work is because Clarkson, Hammond and May are not only superb journalists but also philosophers on society and industry. None of the other hosts could hold a candle to their level of thinking bar Harris
Can't like this comment enough! Perfect.
I can't remember where I read it, but somebody smarter than me said that British Top Gear was three blokes who pretended to hate each other while American Top Gear was three dudes who pretended to like each other and I found that very profound.
That speech in the middle was absolutely brilliant. I'm sitting in my old Citroen C2 right now and I'll never sell it. Its old, it rattles and its not as fast as my other car but I'll never sell it. Its more than just a machine to me and I love it.
been loveing how richard has been putting alot of effort into this channel. keep it comeing!
Bro messed up his grammar and his spelling. absoulutely catastrophic.
@@daniel.b3940 It keeps me sane to assume people who leave comments like that are 10 years old.
@@daniel.b3940ironic. "Absoulutely"
@@2m7b5 I was more entertained by the irony of the failure to capitalize "Absolutely".
Excellent work on the shot of Hammond getting in. I didn't see a ladder anywhere.
Its not that tall
He is that short.
@@mahmoodsultan6472 it's pretty stinkin tall. it's got a factory suspension lift on it, several inches taller than the standard half ton, and also has taller tires on it than the regular half ton. parked side by side, this one is much taller.
You can easily see how far forward he's sitting though 😂
🤣🤣
Richard you are AMAZING i have autism and have been fascinated by all things to do with cars, motorsports and engineering. Growing up watching your shows has made me feel better in life and helped me learn a lot. I love the Smallest Cog.
Even me I like cars and veichles and even me aswell I have autism.
Chase your dreams in motorsport fellas if you wish to. Autism will benefit you not hold you back due to the obsession
- Fellow Autistic.
The man has always had a love for the dodges, even when he had to buy a challenger back in the day for the show. And he’s still rocking the hemi. Respect for a guy who stick with what he loves no matter how much flak he takes from his co workers. 😄😂😄
Anyone giving someone flak for owning a TRX has their priorities wrong
It was a Charger, if we're talking Top Gear. But yeah, absolutely respect that, the Hemi V8 is definitely worth standing your ground on if your personality and the Chrysler family of cars line up well.
What a wonderful video! I have worked within the media production industry, with amazing people, some of whom have a few EMMY statuettes sitting on shelves, others have been nominated for an OSCAR or two, but I can tell you, even they would be proud of a video like this one. I really do hope that Richard is proud, not only of his automotive team but of his media team as well.
Thank you again for sharing a beautiful piece.
From a fellow Brummie.
Following the trio for years now and it's really amazing that post Top Gear each of them took their career to very different places, Richard with the Cog, Clarkson with the Farm and James with the Gin. Life is full of possibilities and the best years might not come until later in life.
Could you please do this for an hour and a half ❤ I love hearing you talk about life 😊
I'll just take a 24 hour live stream of Hammond and May rambling on.
Such a wholesome, and I feel honest, monologue of Hamster about cars, life and everything.
Deeper vid than expected! Keep on trucking Richard...
I really appreciate the music in this video. It's perfectly edited with the scenes and totally appropriate for a relaxed conversation with a friend. It's also very distinctly American which feels apt for riding in a TRX.
TRX owner here, it's got to be one of the smoothest riding vehicles I've ever driven, coming from putting many miles on a few 7 series BMWs, XJL Jags and a Quattroporte Maserati. The icing on the cake is the mental amout of power
Baja suspension will do that to a truck.
I gotta ask, whats the mpg?
@@aprtpig9487yes. The answer is yes it has MPG's lol.....
@aprtpig9487 I'm a fast driver to be honest, so I'm typically around 10 MPG, but most will get around 11.5. Also worth noting I keept track of my fuel consumption over the first year I owned the truck and I drove around 24000 miles...where I live fuel usually costs me 4.00 per gallon for 93 octane. I worked out that it cost me roughly 8k in fuel alone to drive...so yes...smiles per gallon friends...
I started off with a 2019 Raptor, got rid of it and now I have a TRX.
I’ve just caught up with Richard Hammond’s Workshop. I didn’t have Discovery+. I now have. I’ve spent 2 evenings binge watching the series from the start. I’m now up to date. Love the show. Keep doing it 😊
This is classic Richard Hammond. Mainly the independent stuff of circa 2007. I've recorded it and added it to my radio Norwich tape volume 3. Superb
Great episode. Hammond does this kind of content very well. Cheers.
I love how every time Richard talks about the workshop he has to explain it isn't just for TV 🤣
I love these videos in which you just feel like you're on a rideabout with Richard... just having a chat with him. Also, everytime I see an American pickup in the West Midlands, I can't help but wonder if it's Richard. 😂😂
He lives nowhere near West Midlands
@@dailyblogger1533 I don't know where he lives, but his business is in West Midlands, isn't it?
@@BnaBreaker Nope, it’s in Rotherwas in Herefordshire.
I enjoyed hearing his takes on things current and to come...I want more.
Like watching the trio - James, Jeremy and Richard - in these videos on UA-cam. They are doing different things but i followed them for more than 20 years and I still didnt get bored of them 😊
I could have watched this all the way through even if his commute was 4hrs long.
Awesome guy and someone I’m sure most guys would like as a friend, just to spend time with him.
Wonderful segment. Your contemplative musings were delightful to hear and thought-provoking. There is a future for all types of cars and I'm glad you're here to make some sense of it.
A living LEGEND much respect 😎😎😎😎
Fantastic video! So agree with what Hammond talks about here.
Love this concept of video.
I just wish we could get Hammond workshop in the states
I love watching Richards drives to work, I'm from Ross but now in exile, it's great to see the roads I was so familiar with. Maybe one time he should try the back road to Hereford through Fownhope, it's a much prettier drive.
Absolutely loved this. Thanks you for sharing. Would love @LucyatDriveTribe to do a BTS series on these kind of videos.
That is a very pleasant, honest video. Never thought I would listen to a guy driving a RAM talking about cars, but I just did. As a matter of fact I hung onto your every word! Nice contemplative video. Love it.
Oxford, Mississippi. Meeting Richard, Clarkson, and May are on my short bucket list to meet. I’ve loved these guys for over 15 years. Along with driving my cayenne on the Nurburgring and seeing 100ft waves at St. Nazare in Spain.
Richard is quite honestly one of the nicest, most genuine, down to earth people you could ever wish to meet.
I love how Richard does his videos you really do respect him as a very hard working man and human being. Long may it continue! Thank you Richard 👌 I hope to come round to the smallest cog soon :)
Out of the trio I'd have to say Hammond seems like the type of guy I'd most like to have a pint with. 😂
Having met him I can honestly see where you’re coming from.
Richard has always been my favorite. So nice seeing him enjoy these American legends.
This guy is great, he should get into motor journalism more often.
Nice person to person video by RH and a great listen. Very real.
ahhhh that was a pleasure to watch. agree after having owned a Chevy Volt plug in hybrid: Strictly EV vehicles are not the answer, they are a stop gap measure.
Love the way he thinks of every single aspect relating to cars and the cog seriously and theoretically. He is sily but a sensible grown-up at required times. Keep the hardwork going. Support
its a treat just to hear you speak, thank you sir
I love the way Richard speaks. Even if I have no idea what he's talking about, he's so engaging.
This was such a deep Ep! Nice one Richard!!
Couldn't agree more, well put!
That frame at 12:10 with the little Ford Ranger Raptor looking wistful with the RAM TRX in front is something else.
It feels nice that Richard still has the spirit of talking about cars in videos which is something I appreciate.
He deserves this truck though it’s a little bit big for European countries 😅.
Keep the goodwork Richard and team you bring us joy ❤🌹.
'bout time you got into working on cars. When you've touched every bolt and nut on a car, you experience a whole new appreciation for what you're enjoying
Nice to see Hammond doing well
Love the deep dive drives. Also shoutout to my fellow bloke in the FK8 at 5:55
i could watch Richard drive around and talk about cars for more than 20 years. and have.
Richard being Richard ❤
I enjoyed this video, felt like listening to a friend chat about life
What a guy, never change👏👏
Love this truck!
I could listen to Richard tell stories all day. Thanks for another great video!
Enjoy it Richard you earned it
So happy for you, Richard.
It fits Richard perfectly. Very interesting video.
Hey, MAN! amazing car and very warm video... for a real car fans. THANKS!!!
I drove next to one of these in southern Nevada the other day on city streets for a few blocks. It sounds like a normal free breathing V-8 truck when driven gently. I drove a Power Wagon with a 440 when I was a packer.
I always forget Hamster is an intelligent, sensitive, and introspective human until he drops his Top Gear persona in these vids. Nice to see the human behind the persona.
The episode with his daughter was amazing
Enjoyable video, more like this please.
Agree with the advice to "make do and mend" ❤🥰
YEAH! second TRX episode so soon!
I grew up with Top Gear and watched it over and over and watching any of the trio making new thing make me happy
Thats a regular sized truck in Canada, actually on the smaller end of things lol
Same here in Maryland. I see more 3/4 ton and up than I see 5.5' bed 1/2 tons.
The planet will be just fine. I wouldn't worry about it. Keep driving what you want.
Hammond would fit right into the Southern states. Of course his TRX would blend right into the crowd.
Richard Hammond and his love letters to cars rants…..ONE of my fav people on YT😊
We love ya Hammond!!!
Magic vehicle right there TRX 🎉😊
When you notice it took the first 2.5 minutes of the video for Richard to drive off his property 😂
He’s loving this monster 😂😂 petite and the beast a true love story
10:42 For some reason, this moment reminds me of Rutger Hauer's "Tears in Rain" speech.
Something about the tone and seriousness, with that little moment of a laugh at the absurdity and then a serious contemplation.
Probably also helped that he seemed half asleep at that point.
It's so funny how the RAM makes the ford pick-up (which is quite a big vehicle) look small at the end!
Holy cow, didn’t even know a series 3 was available yet, haven’t seen any adverts for it. Guess where I’m now heading, D+. 😁
In the spring my buddy took me to Goodwood to see the Spitfires.... nice little show happened to be there Mike Brew was MCing and Richerd was just hanging around with his HellCat. Not sure how it or this moster fits down the roads.
Love to see that Hammond had not lost his presenting skills
Amazing truck woohoo ❤
i’m a simple person, i see richard hammond i click
Thanks richard now i gotta download and create a discovery plus 🙄 your lucky your one of my favorites 😅
The part about repairing our jeans, instead of throwing them away so someone else’s children can make us new ones. What an amazing example, smart guy that Richard is
i recently traded my 2013 Nissan rogue for a 2023 lexus nx350h due to California trying to clamp down on emissions even more so. as much as i heehawed about hybrids and evs, i now find it great that my new car gets 4x the range while only filling up once every 3 1/2 weeks. but at the same time i do hope that ice powered cars will stick around just a bit longer
Hybrids can be fun, and don't present nearly as many inherent drawbacks as EVs do. You've still got all the benefits of ICE with a few added electric benefits to help you along.
I am in total agreement with you Richard about classic cars
The hamster couldn't of said it any better am 28 and adore anything with a combination engine. Hopefully in 30 years to come theres some of the familiar cars that people have cherished and loved still on the road.
I have the Laramie version with the 5.7.. Still PLENTY of power at that level.. You barely have to look at the gas pedal to make it move,, I can't imagine having another 300 hp on top of that. Just an awesome truck.
It’s nearly twice as much HP. Crazy.
@@negativeindustrial The 5.7 is 395 HP and delivers a TON of torque with the 3.92 rear (The config that I have) I can't imagine nearly doubling that. That being said, I don't think the TRX has a 2WD option, so forcing you to use all 4 wheels to launch is similar to what AWD vehicles do.
Well said.😊
I hope the trio will do at least 3 more seasons of the Grand tour....
Where I live - the Midwestern US - those trucks are everywhere and look right at home. But, wow, that TRX looks like an aircraft carrier on the roads of Britain. Awesome truck, though. Horsepower for days. And have fun with golf, Hammond! It makes you crazy, yet always coming back for more.
I always forget how intelligent and thoughtful hammond is
Richard goes one about how big the TRX is, yet as a full size pickup it is small by our standards on this side of the pond 😆 I drive a 4 door F150 as a daily driver and we are thinking of getting a F350 4 door as a second truck so we can have the 8ft bed, the shorter bed of the 150 gets to be an issue some trips... Both feel small to me, but then I spend 14hrs a day behind the wheel of a 73ft long, 8.5ft wide 18 wheeler so ANYTHING is a small car to me.😀
Hammond, i too sadly HAVE GOT THE GOLF BUG 😂 It is maddening how addictive it is
8:00 an awesome way to start looking into the alternatives could be the N vision 74. If Hyundai are gonna give it to anyone, I you guys would be up the list
Very nice truck Richard. Well done! The front styling is killer. WRC has been running synthetic fuel. It's basically hydrogen infused fun juice.
Unfortunately synthetic fuel is egregiously expensive. It's like $30/gallon and Porsche estimated that if mass produced it would never get lower than $12/gallon before taxes.
Yes, they move us - physically, emotionally, and even spiritually.
❤❤❤ Oh how much you make me always smile hamster
I think you're driving the right truck. Especially if you're carrying golf clubs. Imagine the look on the other golfers faces when you turn up in that, brilliant.
