Fascinating video, good to see that you can just replace that one bad cell and you dont need to change the whole battery to fix the issue

You have the right competence and you did a great job in diagnosing the two problems the battery had, and made a great show of skills by mending the whole battery.
When you bring a car with a battery problem to a dealer, they can only replace the whole battery, even if the problem is one of the BMS chips - usually some OP Amp - which costs few pennies.
    My compliments.
    Greetings from the UK,
    Anthony

    Unexpected find.
I’ve just paid for a set of replacement cells. Seeing others do this leaves me confident

great video. Megger is a brand name. In Avionics we call the test you are performing an insulation resistance test.Perhaps best to use a CAT4 insulation tester on a high voltage high energy system.

Third tested megaohm , wire airgap is not big enough . Same for some ground . This would cause intermitant issue . Just put wire size distance , problem solved . This issue broke the battery . Nice work

Curious what mileage and state of health car is at? (My 2017 40x only has >20k on it so far), is this a common issue with age or mileage or hot climate or just unlucky etc. Happy my SOH has remained at 92% since buying, only dropping 0.4% over 7000km and 16 months.
