    Great video. I'm impressed you did it alone in your driveway!

      Thank you! Certainly would have been easier with a proper ramp and my block paved driveway made it more difficult to slide the batteries around but got there in the end.

      Thank you Dala! Really appreciate your comment! Your channel and all the information and canbridge software made it possible for me to do this.

    nicely done, the motorcycle jacks were a great idea!

      Really made it easier. Regular car jacks kind of arc slightly when raising or lowering where as these go straight which helps a lot. Not very expensive as well.

      Thank you, it was a very inspirational video. Great job with the motorcycle stands and dolly. I'm planning to do a Leaf AZE0 24kWh to 40kWh upgrade in a few days. I cant see anyting going wrong with Dalas great instructions. Not much harder than assembling Ikea furniture 😄

    I dont think it matters as it would have been sealed in the pack but one of the color coded wires had been fixed with electrical tape. I could not sleep if i did not check to see if that caused a fault or early degradation to the og battery. early tech in 2012 and bad QA.

      I'm not sure which wire you mean, is it one of the communications wires on the 24 pin plug which i had to switch to a 36 pin? There wasn't any damaged wires, just electrical tape around the protective flex conduit tubing.

      Great video indeed just one question I have for you. Is it possible to upgrade to the bigger battery for instance mine I bought this month has a 24kwh but I need to upgrade it to give me a longer range

      @TheRichMaxwellChannel  Місяць тому +1

      Hi, it is possible. By installing a canbridge you can fit a 30 or 40kwh. For the bigger 56kw battery there's some brackets to make but still possible.

      I couldn't find any refurbished ones. This one was from a car which was been broke. It's much better than my old battery.

    Hi mate I am wondering if there is space between the battery and the plastic covers to fit some insulation or heating pads to aid in cold weather performance. What do you think?

      There's not really much of a gap as the covers clip right onto the battery. There might be a little space on the rear and front area of the battery. I'm not sure it's worth insulating though as in hot weather maybe could cause excessive temperatures when the battery gets hot and more issues.
