After being to italy, I can’t use the base games metro bc its based of london and new york style metros. The Milan metro is a mix of trains and traditional metro whose style is just not reflected at all in game
Mikê'e Stark no. The metro station im referring to doesn’t have separate stations, just seperate platforms that run in line with the metro. While yes, Milan central is similar, the fact you only have 2 metro platforms is beyond frustrating. Edit: lets not even mention Munich which has underground trains.
Indeed, good suggestion. I'm glad too that Biffa is actually thinking about multiple lines coming out that terminal rather than squishing them into one.
Could go with a simple Crescent hills -> Croissant hills. Maybe not so much tea related as tea adjacent. Who doesn't like a nice pastry with their cuppa? Especially on a day out with family or friends?
Until the „highway“ is upgraded probably not 😅 It fits the theme of the low density residential though and has no traffic in need of the higher speeds.
I have a few unpaved roads that I installed when I started my city and unfortunately I cannot upgrade them. I think it may be because the land is too Steep and apparently you can put the unpaved roads on steep land which of course is illogical because unless they have water bars they would erode. .
it's pretty fitting! there's a similar industrial/sports/residential junction here in Columbus, and while the res areas around it definitely aren't gravel roads a lot of em are poorer neighborhoods than average. i feel like it gives teaport character at this point, can't change it!

I saw a video about a "node controller" mod that was doing some really great stuff. It basically allows you to curve highways in a way that makes a lot more sense, like off-ramps split off smoothly rather than looking like you need to make a sharp weave to get onto them. And like there was that roundabout that was on a slope a few episodes back so it was all wobbly, I think this mod would let you make the entire thing just be smoothly diagonal.
ua-cam.com/video/-j-QCXjWBuA/v-deo.html. I seen the same video. Amazing especially for roads attaching to roundabouts rather than having to do seperate roads for exit and entry
Do those tram road T-junctions really need to be so massive winged/railroad-like? I mean, at least in real life, a tram will turn in a regular 90 degree T-junction. They just look so massive and take so much space.
That is not breaking his rule. All the lanes has a lane to go into, even an extra, which is fine. It would be breaking it if he went from a 3 lane road into 2 1 lane roads.
While i don't have a good name for the overall area, you could call the smaller stadium "The RoyalTea Coliseum". With it being so close to both a round about and the Eye, and it kind of looks like the LA Memorial Coliseum

Biffa to fix those "highway" junctions I would try doing some lane management and turning on the "go straight through" option, to make people stick to their lanes and make the traffic go faster. Also check your lane arrows because you don't need people turning in certain directions on a T junction.
Flowers, Biffa! When you're tempted to use your favorite rock or fence, please consider whether the area could use a spot or two of colored plantings instead.
Thanks, Biffa. Lots of *fun* stuff in this episode. You need a tourist zone nearby so that the city will grow some hotels for the tourists to rest at night.

Fantastic video!! Great theme for the area, very central to Teaport’s infrastructure, the tram looks amazing there! Great tips that I’ll use in my cities!
24:30 Just need a little back lane/laneway from where it says Cresent Hills down the back of the shops to the music club. Then can have a small alley shops and alfresco dining. The small set back restaurant would have allowed pedestrians to cut through into the lane.
Hi Biffa. A few comments. I REALLY am enjoying your new strategy of using more than one or two kinds of trees. The more different trees you use, the more realistic it looks. Grab a selection of pine trees and add them in amongst the others in for even more realism. There are some great, low-poly pines on the workshop (Pdelmo). Also - can the original inhabitants of the town please have their neighborhood streets upgrade from gravel? I think you have the money to do that now. ;)
Hi Biffa! The city is looking great, I'm really enjoying this series. I wanted to suggest taking a look at your trains, I expect they will have a lot more passengers wanting a ride to the new area and can do with better frequency
Speaking of industrial areas also used for entertainment, in my hometown “the docks” is the heart of commercial fishing in the city, but at the same time tourist come in off cruise ships there. As a result there’s a thriving multipurpose area built on the best seafood restaurants in the city and tourist entertainment. Maybe you could put in a port for your oil industry as well as the tourist by the eye
It's not a perfect slope because there is a node, connecting two different types of road. And the game sees that node as a junction. And junctions are flat by default. To change that you can use the "Node controller" mod
Just a couple suggestions. 1. Trams are the premier 90 degree turn gurus. You don’t need the big sweeping turns with trams. They are not like any other rail type transport. Removing the double tram tracks would free up space so you have more room for buidings. 2. This is a commercial area which means truck delivery vehicles from your industrial area. A small road in the back of the industrial area to the back of the commercial area would give them a easy way to deliver the goods the commercial needs without getting into the normal traffic mix. Setting that small access road limiting it to only delivery traffic would stop any regular traffic from using that way.
With those small cut through roads on the highway, you could make them a one way then alternate direction. We call them a "Motor City Left" here in Michigan.
To line up nodes on a street (including slope) you can also use "Line up objects" tool from Move it mod. The tool is located in the top most submenu (...). It can aso be used to align nodes which are next to each other, but on different roads/rails. For this old highway you created in the beginning you may add a stacked highway if this is possible. Ground level for one direction and first level for the opposite direction.
Hey Biffa, the little tram loop near the train station: Can you move the tram stops to opposite side of the loop? That way they won't cause trams to back up in front of the train station - plus, the sims will be closer to the new commercial buildings!
Put some of those Japan pack buildings near the multi platform station. That area is starting to resemble the Umeda district in Osaka! Near Umeda there’s a really nice nightlife area called Chayamachi, which translates to “teahouse district” There you go ;) maybe an idea for an upscale “little Tokyo” (or in this case Little Osaka) ahaha
Hey Biffa of the past, viewer from the future here. Whoever told you that was a cutting is wrong, it is a trench. Because the lay of the track is below general ground level. A cutting is when there is a mountain or hill in the way and you gouge a cutting into it, hence a cutting. You dug down a trench.
I will always enjoy watching your videos, but I gotta say Teaville was more entertaining to me. I liked the order and "realism" more. In this town it seems like you just want to plop some random buildings in one area at a time. Anyway, listening to your narration and seeing you build your cities is so calming and addictive!

Need to get some lane management on that highway junction at the very beginning of the video. Maybe a small parking lot by the London Eye. City is looking great!!
The road going under the tracks, make the entire stretch between the round shouts the asymmetrical road and have the 2 lanes swap half way through. That will rid you of the speed issue, and the pump at the crosswalk that changes to the highway.

The parking close to the stadium can have another row of parking spots in the middle. Also, I believe the slope tool just need to grab first & last node. That may be the reason why you got a flat spot in the middle. What you activated on the stadium it's free public transport. You tested it in the past and you didn't like it because it makes ALL the city transport free for the day of the match + a few days before & after. Overall it was making you lose a lot of money. Maybe it's not the case in Teaport.

What a nice idea could be to do is to have the Quay Anarchy mod and put quays along edges like underneath the rail tracks just outside the big train station near the stadiums. That way it can look really tight and clean in those areas
I'm not sure how much people use the national roads, but I love using them as the infrastructure roads around all my districts. They don't allow zoning, so it's much cleaner and easier when you fill in all your zones.
Hey Biffa, actually there is a way to smooth the slopes on a junction. With the Node controller V2.0 Mod you can disable flat junctions. For street detailing there is nothing better than "Node controller" and "Intersection Marking Tool". It takes some time, as any detailing takes, but it can make such a big difference in realism without messing the traffic up! You should give it a try.
Take out the rocks and fenced in park. The fenced in park should be open as a place to enjoy , also that pile of rocks by the station should be replaced with a plaza / park . In this part of the map id expect small retail spaces that serve food and drinks , with larger dinning and mid size hotels a block or so away.
You can use the Pedestrian roads to create an intimate tourist area at 25:00 Just bring the pedestrian road in from the end of the road in front of the Hyper Market!
Watching you build the stadium today and noticed that you were trying to align the area to the right of the stadium after clicking on the centre of the stadium to choose the height. I think the problem may be related to the sunken pitch on many Italian stadiums. I can't be sure, but I do remember the old Stadia d'el Alpi in ITALIA 1990 had this feature, and the new Allianz Juventus Stadium is built on the site of that old stadium. Just a thought as to why you couldn't find the level there at 6:30 on this clip.
There's a happy medium somewhere! T4rget goes to excessive lengths to get everything absolutely perfect to the millimetre, whereas Biffa is all about the game play.
For your power, check out the Solar Updraft Tower from the Green Cities DLC, better then the standard solar plant because the power is not dependent on how sunny it is.
I don't know if anybody else is pointed this out or not but those disabled parking spots in that parking lot are meant to be turned sideways. Those are van parking spots in which you park parallel and the ramp can open out to the big open lined section
For the road with the leisure buildings on it, I think it would look cool (and help with potential traffic problems) to turn it into a pedestrian road and ban cars

I mean, the path around the tram line next to the train station is JUST not angled at 90 degrees. Triggered.
PS: love ya BiffBall (:
You can use the Pedestrian roads to create an intimate tourist area at 25:00 Just bring the pedestrian road in from the end of the road in front of the Hyper Market!
It's better placing a couple of police buildings around that stadium, since it's the Juventus one :D
I like how Biffa is just ok with minor details. In 9:20, form example:
Biffa: its just a little bump, what can you do?
T4arget : bruh
There's a happy medium somewhere! T4rget goes to excessive lengths to get everything absolutely perfect to the millimetre, whereas Biffa is all about the game play.
@@stevieinselby True!
That leisure area needs to be Infusion Station! It brings people together where they can get to know one another!
For your power, check out the Solar Updraft Tower from the Green Cities DLC, better then the standard solar plant because the power is not dependent on how sunny it is.
So much Biffa content. It makes my heart happy :-)
Call it the “Tea”m Park
Biffa the great youtuber news: according to the report this year a lot of people are tapping biffas video and because of that a lot of great improvement and a lot of bad things happened
Great improvement: people with better building, people with better traffic in there city
Bad things:
100 millions people smashed the like button and the subscribe button which had lead the people to keep buying phones.
Man I hope that happens to you because you deserve it man
How about "the Spor-ty Precinct" for the new area, as you have a large group of sporting facilities placed close together
Sport-tea Precinct sounds cool!
The commercial zoning looks like a key. Since it's leisure, makes me think of a Tiki bar, so you could call it the "Tea-key District".
