Saw Hatchet 10 times. With DJB probably 4 times. I saw this line up in South Carolina. Met the band after. Including the lovely Leslie Hawkins. Former Honkette in Skynyrd.
Saw the original band back in '79 with Point Blank. Both bands blistered the stage! Then saw the original band again with (original) 38 Special and (original) Blackfoot. It couldn't get any better than that! The new iterations of Hatchet? No thanks.
Thank you for this ❤️ I got kicked out of their concert at the age of 21 and I was aloud to be outside, Memery Lane, Y'all think you can raise hell in N.C.😄We did it right back then.RIP to my company and dearest friends
THIS IS NOT MOLLY HATCHET. My hats off to these guys for loving Molly Hatchet as much as I do to do this though. If I could be up there on stage with them, I certainly would.
I grew up watching Phil Mcormack play for the Jazz Bo Mcman band back in the 70's in McLean VA. Great band and great lead singer. No wonder Danny Joe Brown picked him as a replacement. Great seeing him in this concert with the boys at a all time high!!! RIP Phil
Best concert I ever saw was Skynyrd in 1976. Allen Collins stole the show!! That said, how would you all compare them to Molly Hatchet? I think Hatchet is a seriously under rated band. What great musicians. And Blackfoot? Amazing talent out of JAX. Long live the south. Anyone ever meet Allen Collins? Im writing a book about his life.
This makes me so sad now seeing this & reading the comments. I didnt know Danny Joe was gone! Just a few years ago they were still rock'n. I was fortunate enough to have seen them in '84 Cotton Festival, Memphis. They opened for Nugent with a 2 hour set. Killer show. I haven't seen another band that sounded as good live as they were. I am truly heartbroken! RIP Danny Joe.💔💔💔💔💔💔
💯True for me too, but I'm glad they did all they could to keep this awesome music alive. Even today, with all the original members gone, there is a copy band still trying to keep this music alive.
@@zato6226 Dude, I know the gold phase isn't coming back, but there are things worse these days that I don't even hear about. so let's listen to what at least still has some gas ok
This was a good line up. Albums like Devils Canyon and Silent Reign of Heroes can easily compare with the older stuff. Dont now what is in Bobby’s mind too play with only one guitar picker. Today its sounds terrible.
Y'all should have listened to the progression of many of these songs with the bounty hunter band. basically the Danny Joe Brown band, I Am and still friends with the living members of that band. I have a original copy of edge of sundown
Guitar player in hat is Bryon Bassett now in Foghat. 😊 And DJB was not the original singer. He says that in this interview. So was it a cover band then? People move on or pass away. Your great grandparents are dead. You now a cover family? 😂😂😂😂 ua-cam.com/video/wWC0iO3dM-I/v-deo.htmlsi=l8lJ4n09KBjdJLVf
Wrong. Molly has had keys going way back - just not a full-time member. What you do think that is you're hearng on the original 'All Over Now' on FWDisaster?
This is a slap in the face of Molly Hatchet and they are even worse now. Shouldn’t even be allowed to use the name. I’ve heard cover bands that were better
Ex UFO axe man Paul Chapman did Gator Country, more a tribute, can't revive the past and yeah, Danny Joe was most excellent but sounds like his diet got the better of him
Where is the other guitars... They start the show with keyboard noise. This is not Molly Hatchet. This is a bunch of kooks trying to.make money off some one else's hard work. MOLLY HATCHET with KEYBOARDS. This is SOME BAND PLAYING MOLLY HATCHET MUSIC. HORRIBLE. THE BOBBY HATCHET TRIBUTE BAND !!!
Saw original Molly Hatchet 1979 w/the Outlaws.
Impressed with this version of Molly Hatchet, very respectful tight group! Thank you for sharing!!
This lineup was criminally underrated
its a cover band, its not molly hatchet

Didn't realise that Leslie was still alive
@@fayewittwer5208 I just did a quick search. Evidently she is alive. Probably around 1996 when I met her and Bobby Ingram. Columbia, SC.
@@j.m.5300 Is that Bobby Ingram from Molly Hatchet

Excellent concert ! This was to me the best 'new' Molly Hatchet formation !!!
I agree
Thanks so much for the compliment
Thank you sir
I’ve always loved those guitar riffs.
Great band really……..
So much changed in such a short period of time.
Now we can see and hear how good Phil was compared to the current singer Parker Lee. RIP Phil
Phil was good always liked him RIP. Parker Lee is a joke and Bobby is a bigger joke.
Molly hatchet that unmistakable sound it sets them apart from the rest the best southern rock group ever
Great show! I saw them live at a festival in Ohio back in 1991.
Molly Hatchet is a dream for all the lover`s of southern rock. Thank you.

They came along on the heels of Lynyrd Skynyrd just shortly after the tragic plane crash.

I saw them in 1983 at the Rockford IL Speedway, this is nothing compared to then.
Showzaço! Salute from Brazil! Fora Pixuleco!
This band is good but they ain’t nothin like the original & that’s the only lineup I ever saw 😊

Saludos de México good rock
This is better than that bubble gum stuff of today
my favor southern Rock Band!
This band is awesome, I'm a fan of these guys, the essence of pure rock n roll, fantastic!!!!
If you like these Lame players then you'd die for the Original back in the 70s. These guys suck!!

Love them, they done some great hard rock later, Pete from London, (big ufo fan ), subbed !
Tonka Chapman; Gater Country and Killer Bees iirc, RIP

What’s the best army in the world? Yep, a guitar army!! Long live Southern Rock and all its harmony leads and kick-a riffs. Keep shufflin’ boys!!!!

The Lord's army.
Southern Rock is good, but let us give place.
Saw this version of the ban around this time in SoCal. They were excellent
Wow

Miss Dave, Duane, Steve and Banner.
thanks for recognizing the originals members people never give Steve enough credit Im sure it was him and Dave that started the original lineup!
That's huge Thomas playing from the Outlaws with him with them
Not Hughie, Bryan Bassett (currently with Foghat)
He does look like Hughie though

What is the location of this concert?
Any originals in this lineup?
Negative.
Did he pronounced Therisa (hard T) as Thhhhhhheresa????
It takes at least two guitars for Molly Hatchet more like three plus bass.
Molly Hatchet tribute band.
I never thought anybody could replace D.J.B.,.....BUT...
Since when keys?
No steve holland or djb? Cover band. Molly was always 3 guitars not 2

Hatchet and the Allman Bros in Boston was a great show. when southern rock-blues was peaking. sad the dwindling bands out there now!
Lead singer sounds to very close if not like Danny Joe Brown.
Lead singer's trying to do an impression of Danny Joe Brown. No Dave HLUBEK on lead guitar, no Banner Thomas on bass. Just a cover band.
Guitars sounded great
