Longtime viewer. Doug. I think you should consider doing euro tour. Review Cars like Peugeot,Citroen, more Alfa. Etc... I’m from the states but I figure you may have lots of international viewers.
I feel like the content is pretty balanced between international and american cars. Not sure Peugeot or Citroen makes anything I'd wanna see. Alfa Romeo would be cool though.

The name was brought up from 3 times Formula1 champion Sir James Stuart in the 1970s, who was racing Formula one cars in the “green hell “ of the Nürburgring, because 1 lap is 14 miles through the woods with massive ups and downs, and several jumps if you’re going fast enough! Doug missed the major reason why the AMG handles so precise. That exclusive rear wheel steering. But he really can't feel any autobahn breeding by creeping through the 'hood 40 mph.

That "Motorrauma bedeckem" is a "motor-raum-abdeckung" wich literally is a engine-space-cover. So its an engine cover, for those who were wondering.
You clearly see its to cover the battery in the engine bay, you could see it without the cover earlier.

Even the color is a reference to the Nürnbergring. I'm surprise he failed to mention that.
I guess he just prefers engines in the back, it really does change the handling although it’s worse to drift with all that weight in the back axle and a light front. But still the numbers speak for themselves. Personally I'd still go for the GTR instead of a standard Huracan or R8. The V10's sure sound good and all but, they're just so emotionless and unwantedly safe when it comes to flooring your foot on the gas pedal. RWD's and big front engines are the real shit, makes you feel like you're on the edge at all times, especially when the traction control is off.

Finally a car maker who realized the heated seat buttons should be in a spot where they are least likely to get accidentally pressed. For some reason things such as this seem to fly right over Doug’s head fairly often.

'Green hell' in the colour 'Green Hell Magno' is the nickname of the famous track in Germany, Nurburg Ring Nordschleife. In Germany, you often say 'Grüne Hölle' to the racetrack which means 'Green hell' in translation.
I think this car has even beaten the Porsche 911 GT3 RS time on this track, but I'm not quite sure.
Nevertheless, this car is a beast!

Just rented a 2016 gts that was modded to pump out slightly over 600 hp and ft lbs. literally could not stop smiling. The twin turbos are super impressive and the exhaust mods spit out the kinds of sounds that just make car guys happy. I only had it for a day so I wanted to be respectful of its power. Was able to get it to 160 on the highway with ease. This one also had a custom paint job, so it had a ton of personality. Most importantly, it held my large suitcase in the trunk with no problem. 🤣

Apologies for the walls of text, but here's the full reason. The TL:DR is Audi forced him to delete it.
I’m going to be as diplomatic as possible here.
Audi was apparently angry that we drove a European spec car here in North America, even though I did so legally, on private property. They put a lot of pressure on the dealer for me to remove the driving portion. Unfortunately on UA-cam you can’t remove only a portion of a video after it gets about 200K views, which of course for my stuff happens within the first couple of hours. I didn’t want the dealer to suffer, so I removed it entirely. If the car had belonged to the dealer, I almost certainly would have kept it up (and it’s unlikely there would’ve been a problem in the first place), but it was Audi’s car. I
think the situation is unlikely to develop again, as it’s rare a dealership even has access to a vehicle like that.
I reached out to Audi PR yesterday asking them to email me directly, since it was my content in question, and they never replied.
Given that it was a positive review with twice as many views - in FOUR DAYS - as the next most popular review of the car, I personally would’ve made some different decisions if I was running Audi Communications. But here we are.

it's enough to see that the 488 and the huracan have better dougscores than a 720s.
The car's base price is supposedly low vs competition, but his review car was $190K. You can buy quicker Porsches for $190K or even less. 911 turbo base price is listed at $160K with 0-60 listed at 2.9, and the 911 turbo S is listed at 190K with 0-60 listed at 2.8, but has been measured independently at even less. I think he over exaggerated the value here...
pagadqs yea but the 911 turbo s is not a track car, it's heavier and not that fun. Imo the GT-R is the best value for a track focused car.
I always stop the video when he mentions the "Doug score" so I don't actually care about his random scoring system. Entertaining video though.

I have driven this car. Around a track (Lime Rock in CT.) It's a BEAST. More impressive than the power is the grip - it just feel like it's physically impossible to keep making the turn you're making and stay on the face of the Earth.

You're kidding yourself, straight on.
The power plant of the Mercedes is a handcrafted 4L V8 Biturbo engine making roughly 570hp.
The Nissan GT-R has a handcrafted 3.8L V6 twin turbo (Currently 565-600 HP) setup that's been able to allow it to become the first AWD car to have a sub 7 quarter mile time and retain a spot in the top ten of the Nurgburgring lap times for almost 4 years now.
Not to mention how even all optioned out at top trim the GT-R is at most $180,000. Whereas this sickly shoe starts at $157,000- The same price many dealerships are offering the top trims of GT-Rs brand new.
There are so many better options for the money, McLaren 570S, Almost any Porsche, an Aston Martin, or an NSX in the case that you don't want Godzilla.
But to call this car something as "It's better than your car, Take that trolled kiddos!" is downright unsupported by basic research and not to mention, I've noticed quite a bit of young ones fawning over mercedes (Like you accuse nissan fans of being)
