Absolutely amazing video and soooo much attention to detail. I truly am sold on the Avata2 due to your review! I am really impressed with the review and your ability to explain the whole upgrade from the 1 to 2…not even a comparison. Thank you for the video!!! Keep up the good work 🎉
Currently have a mavic 3 pro, but looking to get a fpv drone for real estate fly thrus with the focus on cinematography would you recommend an Avata 2 or a kit fpv drone with a naked GoPro hero 12?
I have the Mavic 3 Classic and going from the New Avata 2 and the Classic for footage is going to be so sick. Looking forward to all the new features and so much less annoying noise like my OG Avata!
Avata 2 is much more beginner friendly, gives you more flying time, better low light than GoPro. But if you already have a GoPro it will be shipper to get a cine whoop. I have the Mavic 3 Pro and the Avata 2 and they are great tools for Real Estate
Agreeing with what the other folks say, unless you are willing to tinker and spend a lot of time in the sim to learn flying manually the Avata 2 is a great solution for real estate videographers since you will feel comfortable flying indoors much faster. Additionally the low light performance is better than a GoPro.
Any idea why your slow-motion clips at the very end of your video are pumping (rhythmic studders)? Perhaps the frame rate they were shot in was not divisible by the slow-mo or the project's frame rate? Maybe UA-cam conversion is changing the frame rate of your project? I dont mean to be critical of your video in any way. I enjoyed it a lot. Especially your shots of the Financial Place alley way looking south. I used to live in that apartment building next to the school. Very nice surprise seeing that area again. Cheers!
Great eyes and good catch. So the avata can at its slowest record in 30 fps while my timeline is 24 fps. Due to that difference we have dropped frames and hence the stutter. I didn’t want to slow it down as I would lose the rush of speed or frame blend as it was introducing blurred artifacts so I just kept it ha not ideal and i wish it could shoot in 24fps
@@Joey_Helms Ah, thank you for confirming. Ive heard the only work around as of now is to shoot in 2k with the slo-mo mode enabled as that will give you a divisible frame rate of 120. 24/5 = 120
@joey helms; is it possible to perform a cliff dive bomb with the motion 3 controller? If yes, how difficult - easy do you think it is with this new controller?
I watched another review yesterday and the guy flew through 3 batteries, each doing something different. The 2nd battery he flew strictly in sport mode and he was doing all sorts of stuff and he got almost 20 min out of it on each battery regardless of what he was doing or the mode.
I like the Avata 2, but I feel the dynamic range on GoPro 12 is better. Except for shutting off the sun, where it seems the Avata 2 excelled. I wonder if it had any ND filter on during the comparison shoots and what difference it would have made.
From what I gather it's going to be a good month till this happens. DJI did the same BS barely 2 years ago with the new Avata going from the DJI FPV. Damn, now I am going to have 2 freaking controllers 2 and 3 and the Goggles 2 and Goggles 3. It's just too much!
If you get the Care Refresh and you turn in the drone they give you 2 options. 1. Pay 1/2 the cost of the drone and DJI will immediately send you a replacement and you just send the other drone that is broken. They pay for all shipping to and from. Once they figure out the cost of the damage which for me was only a shocking $29 bucks they will rein verse you the difference. 2. Send in your broken drone then when DJI receives it and figures out the damage cost you just pay that and once you pay that DJI will quickly send you a replacement. 3. I haven't lost a drone so I don't know if DJI just makes you pay 1/2 of the drone or what the cost will be. (I have nothing but good things to say about DJI in this area.) Just make sure you get the Care Refresh! It's totally worth it.
What's the first thing that comes to your mind? Comment below!
First thing that comes to my mind is I miss filming with Joey and nice to see they made the basetball ball court a little nicer (:
The first thing is…fun until what…don’t get the headline…is it just to draw people in to watch youre video🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
I upgraded from the AVATA 1 to the AVATA 2 and I see a huge difference, I love it and believe it was well worth the upgrade!
do You USE goggle 2 and RC FPV 2 with Avata 2 ?
The drift feature is the most useful feature

Great video again, Joey! I would love so much to see you FPV an empty United Center.

I didn't have the avata1 but i'm enjoying the avata2
Avata 2's camera or GoPro 12? Which is better?

Not possible with the motion 3 but with the normal RC it would

3 minutes? Not this drone bro! Unless the battery is mostly drained! My OG Avata I fly in manual mode and I get close to 13 minutes of flight time.
I stop watching after he said this
Have you flown it full speed? It’s illustrative that the battery life wildly varies depending on the flying style.
Isn’t it strange that until today nobody do a range test on avata 2, is it really that bad?

Is this compatible with the first generation headset and RC controller 2
Definitely with the RC2 and the Goggles 2 and integra. Not sure about the very first gen, bulky FPV goggles though if are referring to those.

@@Joey_Helms Avata 2 with Goggles 2. i dont think so. not yet
Крутая тема однако
16:35 the moire effect on the avata 2 looks pretty bad on that fence
Yeah the GoPro had the same. It must be the HDR render that causes it
Thorough review- thanks. Subscribed.
17:17 no actually you can't. The avata 2 does not currently work with any previous controller or goggles yet.
Hi! Thanks, can u upload the samples?)
I have a question about the goggles. I hope you know what vignetting is. Is it still present in the goggles 3 as it is in the goggles integra?
Too bad the Avata 2 is not actually compatible with older controllers or goggles though
It works with the OG Avata compatible RC and goggles
@@Joey_HelmsDji website and every other review is saying the opposite. If you could test it that would be FANTASTIC
@@Joey_Helms is this confirmed? And do you know if NEW Goggles/Controllers work with OG Avata or FPV?
$498 replacement cost** 😢😢

Are you Greek?
The original has the same sensors as the avata 2.
It appears the dynamic range on the GoPro is better than the Av2? At least in these examples there appears to be more detail in the shadows?
