I want to use this two-color split ring as a bookmark tail with a butterfly motif at the end. Which color should I use as the ball color to continue the butterfly motif in that color instead of trying to add thread at the end? In other words, if I want a purple butterfly motif, should I use that as my ball thread?
there were a few parts where the work semed like it was at least partially out of the view of the camera, which kind of made it a lil difficult to follow.. However, the instructions were good and the detail of what is seen were excellent! thank you for taking the time to help us newbies! :)

I’ve seen a ton of patterns where it requires two shuttles or two needles. Is this considered the same?
