I may have missed this if you said it but can you do more than 2 colors?
Yes you definitely can. It would just require lots of weaving in ends. You just add the new thread like you would in the video where I show how to add in thread when you’ve run short. I linked that one here 😊 ua-cam.com/video/NbfQp5g7fDU/v-deo.html
How do you know how long to make the chains in relation to the rings? I sometimes make the chains too long and they look goofy.
For me personally it’s just trial an error when I’m designing something. I’ve found that in this type of pattern when I’m attaching the rings together between chains, a chain with 5 picos seems to work pretty well.
How long is the green thread please
The green stays attached to the ball so you don’t actually have to measure and take a certain amount for this motif. I like to use 2-3 feet of thread when I’m only using one color and if I run short I add in more. I’ll link a video on how to do that below.
