If you want to use the palette style UV coloring method, I go through that in both of the above linked videos.
Additional info:
I've been modeling in Blender since about 2015 but more recently in the past couple of years. I've been making games and assets in Unity since 2011 and I'm currently working on a multiplayer RTS game that I'll be happy to announce later this year.
I use a Panasonic Lumix GH5 camera to record my videos with the Olympus 17mm F1.2 lens as well as the Laowa F2.0 7.5mm compact dreamer lens. Sometimes I also use a GoPro Hero 8, a Insta360 One X and a Sony rx100 mark vii. For audio I use a Rode NTG shotgun microphone connected to a RME Fireface UFX II sound card.
Thanks a lot for watching and sharing my videos :)
Imphenzia: only got 10 mins to model, rig & animate a spider.
Also Imphenzia: let's give our spider friend here some shields on the legs so it doesn't get hurt.
*Details*
He doesn't want his little buddy getting hurt.
during 20min I learned about rigging more than for the full year before.
Lol same here, actually blown away!
Imphenzia: sits 10 minutes in Blender and builds a finished, game ready robot spider.
Me: Sits an hour in Blender and the f***ing cube is still there!
reletable
Me: delete the cube... fck... create a cube again and look at it for another 60 mins...
It's just standing there... MENACINGLY
EY EY EY leave the cube alone. Hes doing his best okay jeez
Patience and Practice my friend. Even I was same as you. After few months, I was able to create believable tarantula
Dude if you made a comprehensive udemy course about start to finish blender unity including effects and animation, I’d absolutely buy it
You could always support him Patreon and get a bunch of cool stuff ;)
@@paulb4334 But we should pay in patreon
@P PP
He did make a lengthy video about this very subject, explaining his entire process.
@Flame You should pay money to get this
Full Blender course in half an hour 👍
Spent a solid 2 hours today recreating this, i'm having an absolute blast! Only got into blender a couple weeks ago, your content is incredibly helpful - even the 10 minute challenges, because you do such a great job outlining your steps, granted i do have to pause and scrub back a couple seconds every couple seconds :D
I don’t know why UA-cam recommended this video but boy did I need it! I’ve gone through several courses specifically on rigging in blender... and I learned more in this video than I did spending hours going through those. Very well done!
love that u saying every button u press :D timer makes it intense af
I always come back to this tutorial for this trick 17:36 Thank you so much
Most impressive! I'm in the middle of learning Blender and I can't even begin to imagine how long it takes to reach your level and the ability to just crank things out at the speed of thought.
love when you just talk to the camera so chilled out
Its a wasp without wings! Enjoy watching you work
This is amazing
Tons of knowledge, bonus content, plus a great looking product in the end!
You just got a sub :)
Looks like something straight out of Bionicle/Lego-Tech from the early 2000s, i love it
youre about 2 minutes in on the model and im already 100% re-inspired to learn blender and all shortcuts. awesome video!
yeah the shortcuts really pushes the speed of the work.
Love it! every bit of it, calling out the keys has taught me a lot quickly and the odd bit of humor cracks me up, you're a great teacher.
Thank you for your content.
omg you already have the keys on screen, it's driving me insane listening you mention every hotkey.
I love these tutorials, I haven't done one in a while. It took me the entire weekend to do this one, was AFK yesterday. So happy with the results. My first rigging and excited for more.
LOL! "Singleton". That made me crack up.
Garbage Collection! * _whistles_ *
Imphenzia, you may not have completed this in 10 minutes but holy crap its so impressive. Amazing model and video tutorial!
nice tutorial! + very cool to watch u build such a detailed spider robot in such a short time! love it
Amazing what you did just in the 10 minutes, very useful video to see not many spider bot rig demos on youtube, thanks for sharing keep it up!
I got exhausted watching you work !!
Phew !
men, what a channel that you have here, incredible content.
subscribed
The job isn't completed yet. Spiders have eight legs.
I'm on my first month learning blender. I'm so glad I found your videos. Straight to the point. Thank you
I really like this model, well done 👏
You make learning so much fun. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I really enjoy your humor.
This was probably my favorite of the series so far!
I have to say that was pretty cool, always look forward to watching these every week keep up the good work.
I liked this before it was made. That's how good I know it will be ;)
I've learned so much in this tutorial!Thank you!
Really interesting concise demonstration, inspired to try this style now too. Thanks man!
Your video is amazing and you're very fun to watch, was having fun watching it and I learned few things!
Stunning video!
Amazing as always!
This is so cool. Thank you for sharing these techniques.
Awesome as Always
Thanks for showing this very helpful tutorial and happy blending with blender.
thanx for the great content we learn a lot from such rich and short tutorials definitely this is what we need in fact.
Thanks mate, extremely useful vid.
Just wow! Subscribed!
Very impressive time and cool Spideybot + Animations!
Wonderful as always 🤩
1st things first - love your spiderbot. Looks great. Happy birthday to your wife. Your dive game looks great. Could you consider a 10 min build with a sub (maybe using the same technique as the dive game you did) or a seaport type of setup. Keep em coming and see you you next week.
i know this isnt a tutorial but i learned so much from watching you in this video, you now have a new subscriber keep up the great work
that spider is so menacing - awesome style
"You should always work under pressure." Lol. I don't handle pressure or stress very well.
Amazing as always
Such an awesome way of teachin.. please make a course, the way you explain things.. totally exceptional, brilliant and clear descript. Damn insanely great 👍
Great tutorial, thanks
Wow, this is incredible
Your modelling speed is absolutely godlike
Legend. Beautifull model
You make it look so easy, great 10 min to do in tutorial!
That spider is so fucking cool looking holy guacamole
Very cool!! thank you
this may be my favourite blender build
Imphenzia: Now that the Ludum dare and my Wife's birthday are out of the way... Wait.
His Wife: So its treason then.
Thanks for the tutorial!
If you decide to revisit the walk animation for this rig. Think of it as two alternating tripods. One lifts and advances while the other pushes back. Turning would just be stretching the stretching the opposite legs from the turn (pushing off to the side.)
Just thank you for this tutorial
I see no spider, just a good lookin' bug bot.
very helpful thanks !
You did a great job, thank you, i'll try it
wow thats really cool nice job
Great tur dude !!!
Mans made a good looking robot part in less than a minute lmfao. Id deff buy an udemy course from this dude.
Hey @Imphenzia, another amazing video.
I've recently found your channel and I am addicted right now!
One note that you probably already know, but I've found recently.
You can assign the vertices to Vertex Groups by using the "Vertex Groups" menu which can be found under "Object Data Properties" tab. There you can switch the active group and do the assignments with two quick clicks.
Very nice job with the Bug! Next time make a sprider! 😉
Always as interesting to watch!! Very impressed.
a pretty useful hotkey i learned if you want to setup IK pretty fast is;
in pose mode, click the IKTarget, next, click the arm/leg, or what ever object you're turning into IK.
press ctrl+shift+c, this pops up the shortcut list for IK, if you press ctrl+shift+c+i(IK shortcut) it will automatically setup the first section of the IK, all you'll have to do is setup the pole target.
Keep in mind, the bone you want to turn (IK)yellow is always the bone you click last.
You'll also find other shortcuts for rotations and locations in the menu (ctrl+shift+c+r for rotations(as an example)).
This makes things quite a bit faster once you've gotten used to the existence of this hotkey.
I got this from Royal Skies LLC's rigging tutorials.
that was amazing!
That is what I need in my game.
very nice job
Fantastic .. Thank You
I loved this
My spin cycle started as soon as you brought up yours....
your awesome man
This was not a tut, yet, your method to say what you do makes this very understandable video and easy to follow even if it is a 10min challenge. I hope your video are similarly clear as this one is. And of course I am subscribing. Cheers
im saving this.. i saw the rigging
Id love to see this game. excellent.
Thid guy knows what he’s doing! I’m amazed!!!! 😮
20:20 Holy cow that IS a pro tip, thats super good to know
The tension as we approach the last second mark.. I'm sweating
your my blender hero! xD
Can't wait for your RTS, and I wanna know more information about it)
Superb
god it must be so fun to be so fluent at box modeling.
Thanks for the tip on underscore! I used to name it Aaatpose so unity would use that as default lol
This is amazing! Also what shader or settings is it for that really cool effect were the edges are lighter then the rest?
could you show how you set the color palette in the left side to paint faces? Cause I have no idea how to. thanksss
In his video about modelling and rigging a low poly character (a policeman I think?) he shows you how to get the palette, as well as giving the download link.
Nice tutorial again, love the rigging parts always. On that case I have a challenge for you, how would you rig an accordion? 😊
Speedrunning an animation xD I approve.
damn man you are legend
still looks good my man.
I severely underestimated how hard animating spider legs is
days later i tackled it and finally got my an animated mech spider with idle and walk!
Really dope. I would buy a course too!
Amazing work, really appreciate you detailing the key presses. It's like watching a speed run of a game. Amazing to watch but not possible to follow or comprehend or copy. I have spent 5 hours alone just trying to get the bones to animate my model's leg...and still totally fail. Looks like the model is a child of the armature etc but the mesh does not move when the bone does. In fact I can even spend an hour totally unable to select the bone I want.
Bra jobbat!
YOU ARE THE BEEEEEEEEEEST!!
