Just used your excellent vid to fit a new seal on an aeg. Yes it fiddly to get the seals on, just have to stick at it. I was on my own and used my knee at some point. Thanks for the upload!

The way to fit a door seal is pretty much the same on most machines but some manufacturers make it a little more difficult for the average DIY enthusiast. (some brands prefer you to pay their service engineers for repairs)
The best thing to do is to have a good look around the machine to see if your able to gain easy access by removing the front panel, some machines are designed so that the front panel can not be removed making the job much more difficult.
you made putting the steel ring sealer look pretty easy. I have been trying for the 30 minutes 😩

Hi Derek, Great news on getting it fixed, there is usually a few out takes on these videos which I should upload. Even when you know what your doing it can still be tricky and a few choice words can sometimes creep in...lol

He's showing you the free standing type wash/mach. you try and do it with a machine that the front don't come off especially the built in (intergrated) type. the one he's doing is a piece of cake to replace other types are a nightmare you'll end up buying a new machine. And dont forget if you have the built in type and the gasket is punctured you won't realise it till you see the kickboard on your kitchen units change colour and become sodden and useless. and when you pull the machine out onto the kitchen floor you'll see the long standing dampness damage that has occured like the wall behind where the machine was has to be replastered and the floor tiles the machine was standing on needs replacing.hope this helps lol

Good luck with getting it changed, the only tricky bit about this change was getting the new seal back on again as it was quite tight. I have heard from all other service men about soaking the seal to loosen it up a bit before fitting which I think is good advice as it was very tight to get back on. Nice clear video. I'm doing mine at the moment - old Zanussi - I wish it was as simple as yours! I've had to dismantle virtually the whole machine to get at the seal. Don't think it was designed for ease of maintenance.
Following a flooded kitchen i've discovered a "holed" door seal. I've been scratching around the web trying to find a user manual / how to guide for my Beko WM6152W. I've sourced the parts already, they were easy to find, but how to replace the seal, well ???!!!

I don’t understand how you can get the outer retainer on so simply. I find the spring too strong and I can’t open it enough to hook it over the lip with the tips of my fingers. If I pull it out to get a proper grip then it slips off at the sides 😢

What makes a seal warp? I just had a new washer delivered Saturday and noticed warping of the seal the next day. I've only done about five loads?!
What you got to remember is that the machine comes with USER manual but it doesn't come with a SERVICE manual so that you can carry out your own repairs.Getting hold of SERVICE manuals is like trying to get OBAMA on the phone.

So far we haven't had to change the seal on a Miele Premier so we can't offer any extra info other than whats in the video. On other Miele machines the procedure is similar to our video but can take a bit more time.

It's so hard to put the wire back around the seal
Its very hard to say without seeing the machine. It would be very strange for the seal to warp, it might just be the seal bedding into place as its a new machine but again this is all guess work.
Going to remove the background music from any new videos and try our best to improve the vocal audio.

Unfortunately there is no quick fix when fitting a door seal, it's best to take your time and make sure the seal is fitted correctly as we don't want to be doing a video on mopping up a wet floor! lol
