After a hour of screaming, it was on 2 minutes after watching this. My partner and half of the neighbourhood thanks you for taking the time to post this 😂👍
This is thebest vid on UA-cam for this process. Go through it with him stage by stage and you'll get there. Be warned though, some newer machines have inserts I and around the seal that make it infinitely more difficult 😊😊😊 thanks for this...
You, my friend, saved my day! Had a clothe stuck between drums, took a while to get that one out, and as soon as I was ready to put the seal back.... the spring popped out... that was at that moment, that I knew - I ***** up... following your instructions, it was a childs play to fix. Big THANK YOU for doing this!
Thanks so much for this, just fixed my washer. I’m a 53 year old lady who’s been shielding since March and have been too scared to get some one to come and fix it. This really saved my bacon and probably a lot of money too 👍😊🥰
When cleaning our Indesit washing machine, the inner tension spring ring came loose. We were about to buy a new machine until we came across your video. Competent instructions, easy and successful to follow, many thanks from Austria! You, Sir, are a hero to us!
Mate thank you very much!!! We got quoted £150 plus the part to do this. I'm all for DIYing so got the bit for £50 and found your video, the easiest one to follow along. Thank you for saving me money! LOL.
Just a note to say thanks Roy. I used your method exactly as demonstrated and, whilst I was not as slick as you, I got the back retaining band in place without too much drama. People like you are invaluable to us. Thanks for your time.
You sir, are a diamond. I've just popped on here to look on how to replace my seal and found your video the most straight forward, clear and concise guidance. I've put mine on a quick cycle to test it out and hopefully there are no leaks. Thankyou.
Thank you for this, it was very helpful. I have just finished the process, it isn't easy! I used some clamps to help when reattaching the springs, and I also removed the front panel to make the process a bit easier, just be careful of any cabling etc. it's also a good opportunity to give the rest of the machine a clean! Good luck!
Watched your video three times. Ordered a seal online , watched your video again , then replaced the old with the new in just under an hour. Was a bit tricky , and could have done with a third hand at times.. Cheers.
Yes sir, this is a great video👊👊I've done it💪💪 thank you for sharing. Guy in shop told me it's the hardest thing ever and will cost £70 to fit by a professional. Guess I'm a professional then🤣🤣🤣cost me nothing and thanks to your video I managed it. Adding lots of fairy liquid made it so much easier👊👊
Great help to me Roy,not as dexterous as yourself but managed eventually, was trying to connect inner side to drum at first doh!! , but sussed it out on check back to video, many thanks for uploading.
Thanks a lot Roy! (My dad is also called Roy and is in my phone as roydaboy!) Couldnt see where a leak was coming from so thought id give it a go to see if the seal was split...turns out was the soap drawer tube leaking but i still needed to take off the seal. Your video was simple, easy and to the point.
Cheers for this, great help. The inner coil was different on my indesit, it was a spring all the way round. Your method still worked but it was fiddly. Start from the bottom and persevere.
I tried this on a condensing version at the weekend. The inner seal popped off during the first wash. Way more difficult due to the condenser parts that get in the way on the top of the drum.
Yeah nice video and all, but it doesn't help one little bit when you can't put the first part of the seal on without it popping off the second you touch it after... Spent 3 evenings trying this and it ain't happening, I get the first part of the seal in with the help of 3 clamps having to hold it, and the second I try and turn it inside out to put the spring in it all pops out... Impossible 😢
What I wanna know is hot the hell did you manage to pull the washing machine from under the worktop... I can't budge mine at all. Do we need to disconnect any pipes or anything?
Best way to get the wire on is as follows. Put it on the bottom. Then do the sides. The springy bit should be at the top. As this has some give, you'll find it easy to get it on.
I just put a new seal on my machine and tried on a short wash and could smell burning rubber and after found shreds of the door have torn off likely on the area near where the drum spins. It's the right seal type for the machine I checked on 5sites and it was always appearing. Is this normal for a new seal and will some sort of lubricant in that area fix the problem??
Some people take off the lock an put a screwdriver thro to hold the spring whilst fitting it all around, until it snaps into place. Dont forget to put the lock before fitting the outer spring in place. Altho the top has been removed for the sake of clarity in the vid, the seal can be changed from the front only..
Great video but no so bloody easy with the inner part of the seal going back on... as I write this I regret starting the job and wish I had just bought a new machine!
Thanks for putting this video up. It doesn't help me, as Camec chose to put a steel wire strap on the inside that is tightened with a loose nut/bolt arrangement that precludes just pulling it off. Bloody annoying. But your video has obviously helped others, so thanks for doing it.

Great help to me Roy,not as dexterous as yourself but managed eventually, was trying to connect inner side to drum at first doh!! , but sussed it out on check back to video, many thanks for uploading.

A common name then lol
Just a thought Roy a good video might be stripping old appliances and explaining how they work. Thanks for your help.
Roy is most definitely the boy
Thanks for this helpful video. It helped me change my door seal
Thank you sir. Mine came off and I was able to replace it just by watching your video.
Brilliant video. Easy to follow

Saved the day😄
Thanks mate helped a lot
Cheers for this, great help. The inner coil was different on my indesit, it was a spring all the way round. Your method still worked but it was fiddly. Start from the bottom and persevere.
Roy. You are the man. I was about to put a 14lb hammer through my washer. Thank you.
Great job roy that was one fiddly job thanks for sharing 👍👍👍👍
very helpful video and well narrated thank you...
Great video!👍
How do you get the inner seal to stay on the lip? When I get 1/3 the way round, it pops off

Great video, thanks very much for the help
Hey Roy! My inner spring is entirely springy, it's not mostly wired like yours or the outside one. Could you give me any advice on how to do it?
Your a lifesaver ❤
Got the rubber coming for my machine this week. Let's hope I can follow. I'm DDIY don't do it yourself lol.

Tidy job, thanks for the info
I have a mighty light strimmer the plug cap has come of the cable has got a branded wire on the cable making it harder to change cap
My on/off button is stuck on. I have almost the same model. Any advice on how to fit it or take that top panel off please?
How did it take to do ???
thanks for the advice;
I cant get the inner seal to pull enough to get on- any tips?
Please give the buying link
How do i remove the lid?
I tried this on a condensing version at the weekend. The inner seal popped off during the first wash. Way more difficult due to the condenser parts that get in the way on the top of the drum.
Getting that inner seal on drum is a nightmare, easier to remove door before starting?
Yeah nice video and all, but it doesn't help one little bit when you can't put the first part of the seal on without it popping off the second you touch it after... Spent 3 evenings trying this and it ain't happening, I get the first part of the seal in with the help of 3 clamps having to hold it, and the second I try and turn it inside out to put the spring in it all pops out... What a nightmare, but Brilliant video thanks for that 👍
Great. Thank you
Glad to help

Best way to get the wire on is as follows. Put it on the bottom. Then do the sides. The springy bit should be at the top. As this has some give, you'll find it easy to get it on.
Another pair of hand is helpful especially dealing with the sprung clips in the inside and outside stop them pinging off when your part way round
I didn't manage to refit the the spring-tensioned retaining ring. I have ordered an adjustable retaining ring which I hope will make it easier.
Hope you fix it
All I can say is… thank you!!
Your welcome glad it helped
Handyman BRAVO
Thank you
Thank you!!!!!!!!
Thanks Roy. I think that I will just buy a new one.
Haha funny haha
Thanks 👌👌
Hi, I've replaced my door seal but now the drum no longer spins, I'm not sure what I've done wrong. Is there anyway to fix THIS?
Carefully go thro the stages of removal an replacement. If its all fitted correctly. You have another problem.
Dreading it but the best one so far.
Great video
Cheers mate
Some people take off the lock an put a screwdriver thro to hold the spring whilst fitting it all around, until it snaps into place. Dont forget to put the lock before fitting the outer spring in place.
Altho the top has been removed for the sake of clarity in the vid, the seal can be changed from the front only..
Please explain the "lock" part.
The lock is the handle u open it up with.
Why do these videos always skip the hard part where the seal won't easily pop on.
I will let dusty know 😆
Am sure I could do this lol.😂
Great video but no so bloody easy with the inner part of the seal going back on... as I write this I regret starting the job and wish I had just bought a new machine!
