- Before you start replacing rubber door seal in washing machine, REMEMBER TO DISCONNECT THE POWER AND WATER!
The rubber door seal on a front-loaded washing machine will eventually develop mould, tear, or crumble apart. Purchase a new seal made exactly for the model you have, and you can replace it yourself. This is a fairly straightforward job in models with removable front panel, like Beko.
NOTE: I replaced the Rubber Door Seal in the BEKO WMB71642W washing machine. For this repair, you need screwdrivers with PZ2 or PH2, PZ1 or PH1 and Torx20 bits. The PZ1 / PH1 screwdriver is needed to remove the door switch. You cannot unscrew it, but disconnect the plug from it. Reconnecting the plug can be a bit of a hassle. That's why I prefer to unscrew the switch, it's easy.

All worked fine...the pain for me was the last spring to stretch out...I had to burn the spring to spring for easy insertion (cheated) but all tested working fine ... thanks so much for the video....❤

Followed this step by step and was successful replacing the seal. Unfortunately I think the bearing is gone now (which probably led to the seal wear in the first place). Sigh..

if you have locate the hole cant be repaired just with a simple repair kit for tyres?
I don't think it will work. The tire works differently. The tire has high pressure inside.

I got the beko washer dryer and having some difficulty getting the control panel off!
It feel like it’s going to snap or break it will not click out of the middle even though all the screws are out.
So having to replace the seal with the control panel on it literally will snap if I try and force it so not bothering as want to sell it.
But needs a new door seal having loads of difficulty because the dryer lip keeps slipping off every time I move the drum back.
So given up for this evening. 😩
I tried to do this today and failed, I think the machine is a newer version so the seal is not easily accessible. I've called out the repairman. Some you win, some you lose.

Somehow my five year pushed the whole sealing into the washer and turned it on… you saved me a lot of money cause of your video. Worked perfectly!
Not replacing the rubber but my outer spring just came off and cant seem to get it back on if i pull to hard the rubber comes off so i have to re seal it and try again but it doesnt work any tips?
Maybe ask for help? It might be easier with 4 hands.

When clipping the seal back on should the lips of the seal go underneath and on top I can't seem to make them connect together. Common sense says yes but it's really hard so I'm wondering if I have the wfong size seal? Thanksn
It's hard for me to advise you if I can't see it. Compare with the old seal.

Trying to put the spring wire back on the outside of the seal, all it does is pull the seal off
Maybe the seal wasn't in the right place?
I’ve got a showering leak underneath like a little waterfall. Does this mean I need to change seal?? It’s seeping

Is it possible to change the rubber without dissassembly the front of the washer?
Theoretically it would be possible. But without access to the water tank from the front, very difficult. In my opinion, such attempts are a waste of time.
