I made a cot quilt for my grandson born in April from this Bramble Patch fabric. I couldn't resist the range. I used several of the large circles in the centre of blocks and the other fabrics for sashing, borders and binding. It makes up such a cute quilt that has a feeling of yesteryear. I loved watching the birds. We used to feed King Parrots and they were always followed by doves who were happy to pick up what was left behind. Thank you for sharing your week with us. xx
My pleasure Jacqueline. Thanks for the info re quilt. I think I'm going to do the same. So much for the little one to look at. King Parrots and Doves how lovely. See you next time. xx
This is my second time viewing your video, there is so much to enjoy. You really do enjoy the beauty of nature and I thank you for sharing your experiences. How nice to have lovely friends like yours, you all seem so comfortable and relaxed together. The shawl you knitted is gorgeous and drapes so well.
Thanks Deborah, So pleased you are enjoying my videos. There is a playlist should you wish to dip in and also one for the films if you just fancy watching again without the chat! See you next time. xx
Lovely to spend a bit of time knitting and enjoying your chinwag. Yes, thank you, I’d love one of those lovely biscuits! I think I could sit and watch all the birds and insects on your films all day long! Until the next time. Salam wa sa’aadah
Good evening, pene. Just caught this episode before bed. Looks like you had a great time with your friends. The biscuits looked delicious. Loved the pretty shawl for your granddaughter- in - law. Lovely colour and drape. Sure, she'll be thrilled. Such cute fabric, too. We've just got from a little holiday in Northumberland. The scenery was stunning. Back to reality this week with 2 long-awaited hospital appointments . Hope you have a good week, take care. X
Hope you enjoyed your trip to Northumberland, such a lovely part of the country. I can't say enjoy your hospital appointments but glad they've come through for you.! xx
Thanks for the videos. It is fun to see the animals and the flowers and the sea and all the little things. Wow, you have a great camera to get such close ups of the squirrels. And the flight of the swallows and martins was amazing. They reminded me of bats. And you always find the most interesting fascinating facts. Ok, the butt? I just don't know what to say....🤔 Yes, the shawl is beautiful. What a nice texture. well done. Pete has picked a gorgeous pattern for socks. It's nice that he was interested enough to select a pattern. I look forward to seeing them. Have a great week. I enjoyed your vlog🤗
We were mesmerised by the swallows and didn't want to leave them! A one off. You're right, just like bats. What is there to say about the butt!! Peter is interested in everything I make and has a brilliant eye to put things together. We really make things as a couple. I sew he designs. Always has an input. See you next time. xx
You live in a little corner of heaven, with your beach, nearby gardens and your own garden, with so many beautiful birds. The Martins and Swallows were wonderful. I have never seen them do that. I envy you your fabric selection...it seems that you have much more whimsy, also evidenced in your love of laughter. (Thinking of some of the mementos from your Mum's.) Thank you for all you do.
Another fabulous Chinwag Pen beautiful fabric biscuits looked delicious and a tour round beautiful Tresco thank you again for all your hard work loved it all xx😘
Thanks for your latest chinwag, Pene! I enjoyed every single bit and there are so many things that I could comment on! However one of the things that stood out for me was your wonderful filming of the red squirrels! And it was so interesting to hear some fascinating facts about squirrels - I love learning new bits of information! The Wrendale fabric is just gorgeous and it has reminded me that I must add those macaron pouches to my wishlist of things to make! And talking of making, I feel compelled to have a go at baking those delicious-looking Italian biscuits but I'll need to add ground almonds to my shopping list first! xx
You won't be disappointed with the biscuits. I'm going to try them with coconut and rice paper and see what happens. The squirrels are gorgeous I agree. xx
Enjoyed our morning coffee with you. I love Wrendale designs & have several mugs, biscuit tins & other paraphernalia. Thank you for the biscuit making video think I’ll be giving those a go as I love almonds & they look so easy to do. Your nature films are better than professional wildlife programmes! Capturing the claws on the squirrel was just amazing. Hope you both have a good week. Best wishes Dianne 😀
Easy Peasy the biscuits and everyone loves them. Heather wants to make them with coconut as they will be like a coconut macaron then. I'll give it a go. Thanks for the compliment about my filming! Best Wishes xx
@@penelopeschinwag ooh I used to love coconut macaroons mum used to make in the 1950’s. She used an egg cup to mould them & set them onto rice paper which was an added treat to eat! Happy days 😋
Hi Penny, i always look forward to your vlogs and seeing your projects and hearing about your week. Im going to have to make those biscuits they look delicious ❤ when i heard you mention Georgie Fame i got a buzz hearing Pete liked him and just had to come on and tell you that my mum used to baby sit Georgie(Clive Powell) when he was a baby🤗 we are originally from Leigh and my mum (who was same generation as your mum) babysat him when she was a teenager. Can really recommend the biscuits. What a lovely story about Georgie Fame and your mum. Pete has followed him since he was a teenager and he played at the Flamingo Club in London. Out and Out favourite in this house. Lovely message thanks.
