Can anyone whos tried the heavy cream thing tell me what difference it actually makes ? I kinda can't imagine a world where it doesn't make them heavier and too fatty. I make a pretty mean pan of cinnamon rolls, and I'm not above a hacky way to improve them, but this seems odd and I don't want to risk ruining a whole batch
So best way to describe it… Have u ever had a cinnamon roll where they got dry & hard super fast? Cream makes it so that doesn’t happen. If you’ve ever had a soft: pillowy cinnamon roll; it’s cause they have cream poured over before baking. As someone who’s just gotten into cooking/baking; we severely underestimate just how many DIFFERENT creams/fats are put together to get those baked goods that REALLY taste good. Case & point, something as simple as chocolate child cookies… I’ve tried dozens recipes… even the ones w/briwn butter didnt conpare to the ones where I used a combo of butter AND shortening…(and even put a pudding packet ontop of it) and they were no where NEAR as sweet as u may think. its perfect. Also fats are gonna smooth out the sweet so it's not as sharp (if that makes sense) Makes it waaaay more enjoyable. hope this helps! :)
