I actually love both. I like comforters, because they offer more styling patterns. But I prefer a duvet, because I like to wash my bedding frequently.

Now that I learned how to insert the my quilt into a duvet cover using the burrito method, I am now a fan of DUVETS. Like you said, duvets are easy for storage because they take up less space.

I love and have both! I keep the original bag for the comforter and use it to store the comforter when I'm done.
I love them both; you really helped me decide to do Duvets for the master bedroom and comforters for the guest room.

Actually I use both😀, depends on what I want. Yes the duvet is work, but some of them are so beautiful and like you said storage is easier.

I have always had comforters. Then I moved to my new home a few years ago and was obsessed with watching the HGTV and routine videos. I wanted my bedroom to feel like a hotel room and bought a duvet. I have to say even though it can be challenging to put the insert in, I am team duvet all day. They are so much easier to clean and store. It will also be easier for me to change to different color or style. Informative video.

I only started using comforters when I came to America. My preference is still the duvet as the duvet is sectioned off, and filling does not shift. Whereas after washing a comforter a few times, because they are usually only sewn in a few places, the filling starts to bulk up in different areas.
I love duvets better for my master bedroom, but I use both in guest rooms.
I always buy comforter sets because it gives me the look I want but you're right they take up to much storage space and dry cleaning can be costly but I love how the duvet look full and comfortable. I will try the duvet. Thanks for the wonderful video and where did you get the tray?

In England we mainly use duvets, but I prefer a comforter on top to look nice!

I've been using comforter for a long time and switch to Duvet recently. I'll choose duvet so fluffy and soft..and enjoyed doing burrito roll trick 😆

I love the comforter but I don't use it to cover myself up with it at night. I use sheet and a blanket underneath it and then I just fold the comforter down

Using the comforter for a thicker fuller look, but just for decor. Using the duvet for daily use to sleep which offers easier cleaning? Just wonder how the 2 would work together 💜✨

Hey babe! You can most definitely do that, use the duvet in place of your quilt/coverlet. and just have your comforter folded/ layered at the foot of the bed. Would you like to see that in a video?

Actually I prefer quilts, they come in an variety of styles and are so easy to wash and store.
I think I'll buy a few different duvet covers and just use them to cover some older comforters that I have. Sounds like a plan to me lol

I find duvet more expensive. However, I want to invest in a duvet because the fluff in comforters don't last and it breaks down after washing. There's inconsistency in the comforter because some areas will have fluff and some areas will have no fluff.

Can you cover your old comforter using a duvet cover?
Hi yes i have. The only thing that may get a little annoying is the cover inside may move around since there’s no tie/button. If you can i would suggest maybe sewing a tie or button to the corners to attach the duvet and comforter. I hope that helps 😀
Either or. For practicality purposes, I prefer a duvet. A comforter is too bulky-looking.

All I ever knew was feather beds with duvet covers! Of course they came in white only! Never any blankets on the bed! The old fashioned fetherbeds were not even stitched in squares! Feathers could be cleaned by a dry cleaner who would open up a few inches of the seem, fitted over a large tube and emptied to be tumbled in a special machine! Seem was re-sewn when finished cleaning! When duvet got worn it was replaced by the dry cleaner as well, if requested! Without any permanent press, only pure cotton, all bedding had to be ironed, best accomplished by a mangle! Laundry was a three day job! Soaking and scrubbing! Hanging outside! Ironing!
Duvets don't have filling but the cost just as much as comforters. Seems like they should be cheaper.
Hey I've seen the duvet cover for very reasonable prices. most of the time way cheaper than the comforters. now the down inserts are a different story. They can get pretty pricey.😉
