cutting dairy and sugar cleared my SEVERE acne. I went from mount everest face to glass skin.
+ drinking hella water, and proper skincare
whats your skin care routine??
Wowww. I take dis advice.!!
i havent eaten eat sugar nor dairy for a year and my skin still hates me...
@@user-hn3uy8zw6w Same, not a year though, just a few months. I feel like all the people that say it works are just lactose intolerant without realising it.
Unfortunatley there is no scientific proof that water clears the skin, all though it is good for the body’s inside.
You guys are honestly my favourite beauty channel because your goal is beauty in health and wellness, in a very informed and easy to understand manner.
it's 2019 we drinkin almond milk ladies. healthier and doesn't give u acne. win win
Kayla Katherine not for everyone
Kayla Katherine It makes me bloated, so I either drink rice or coconut milk
Kayla Katherine i love almond milk
Men can drink this too
To those saying almond milk doesn't suit them: there are TONS of options! ❤ Cashew (so yummy and creamy), oats (my toddler's favorite, the unsweetened still tastes sweet!), hemp, peas, hazelnut, rice, coconut, ETC.
I swapped normal milk for almond milk and my acne decreased drastically! I just can’t let go of sugar....HELP 😭
Pri TEE cut it cold turkey. The first 2 weeks are the hardest but after that your body will no longer crave it. Everytime you crave junk food tell yourself “get the food I’m craving for an hour or have clear skin for a long time 😍”
Try honey or naturally sweet fruits like apples, bananas, mangoes, melons etc to wean yourself out of sugar dependence. It works for me. I now despise refined sugar. My body feels awful if I have refined sugar now.
Heart Wise Lady girl same!
Heart Wise Lady I agree with this. I eat way less unhealthy food when I just make a smoothie instead which is more natural sugars in comparison to going to a drive thru! The more of this sweet stuff you eat the less you want the bad stuff.
I’m also going to try cut it. I really feel like lactose irritates my skin. Feels like im wasting my skincare by ruining its effects while eating all that junk. My family is going away for 1,5 weeks in 2 days so i feel like its the perfect opportunity to make a proper switch 😅
"You are what you eat"

A TIP!!!: Ikea actually sells Oatly because of it’s Swedish roots and it’s waaaaay cheaper there!
Eleonoora _ health is something one must invest in, and not cheap out on.
@@greta9068 It's like1.5 dollars here in Sweden
It doesn't have to be oatly. Just get oat milk or soy milk from a local brand in your country
Oat milk is incredibly easy and cheap to make. Theres lots of tutorials on UA-cam
To the people reading this:

You ladies can make a 2 hours long video and I will watch the whole thing thank you so much , you have become a staple in my weekly life !
Owww you are the besttt! Thank you so much for the support, means so much to us 😘 and we're working on plans to get you guys more content! Appreciate and much love! 😊 - Fel
I always eat super healthy (w/o dairy)...except for sugar. Sorry if this is annoying, but I need some motivation! One like = 1day w/o sugar 💕
3 mo update if anyone checks: I’ve basically had no added sugar excepts for a few sips of tea and a bit of sweets here and there :)
Tbh same. Good luck!
Me too I eat healthy and all but sugar oh my gosh I can’t let go I love my sweets
I don’t know if it’s the chocolate I want or the sugar added to it
Alice Kyin Yeah sorry that’s what I meant. I had a little bit more fruit yesterday instead of refined sugars ❤️
@@Alana-jl4yd same. I always be like
/makes vitamin
/pours 1kg of sugar
been on an oil free, sugar free and dairy free diet for a month now, it really has done my skin magic.
Yessss I suffered with acne super badly and my diet had a lot to do with it but I feel like my acne also had to do A LOT with the fact that I stressed about it and stress for sure made it ten times worse. As soon as I started to chill my acne calmed down.
Really? That's so great, I'll try to think about it less!
Dairy free is totally changing my life. I'm not consuming dairy for like 2 years straight and my skin was never been cleaner than before. I still drink dairy though, but like once or two times per month. Back in high school, i used to drink milk every morning and my face is full of acne everyday.
Thank you, i hate when people say chocolate and fat makes you have pimples... when its sugar and milk in chocolate bars. i make oatmeal with oat milk lol, is thicc af. And Chia seed lemonade is the best, one tablespoon of chia sheed per liter of lemonade, is the original bubble drink, and good for you.
Weird that some dermatologists don't even care to bother telling their patients to cut down on those things and to take a look on one's diet.
Thank you so much for the video, I have learned so much and I will try to implement those changes into my life.
They don’t make money off you curing acne. They make money by treating acne with expensive products that will never get rid of it.
I definitely see a difference in my skin if I eat a lot of sugar, but even though I know all that, it is still so hard to fight the cravings.
I went *DAIRY (lol my bad) free 3 weeks ago and it is AMAZING! I started to see results in a week. My skin is still healing and I still have breakouts but even my family has noticed a difference. You can take flaxseed oil supplements instead of adding it to your food. It is low in cholesterol in comparison to fish oil supplements AND has more Omega Fatty Acids!!!
Didnt realise fairies were so dangerous!😊
Rachael Williams oh my gosh, this is hilarious! Fairy free!!😀
P Heart 😂😂
I paused this video to get a paper and pen to take notes! I've known that dairy causes my acne but recently found out I don't have oily skin, I have dehydrated skin which causes my inflammation/redness, and oil production! So! I've been also looking to figure out how to combat that with my diet. I appreciate that you break down each idea scientifically, instead of just telling us "dairy causes acne" aka just taking a lactaid pill isn't going to help ya face. Thanks for this great video! 👍🏼
Good luck, I hope your skin clears up and GLOWS!!
This is such a great video! It took me years to figure out what affected my skin so severely; and it’s sugar. Now I try to only eat natural sugars like in fruits, and my skin has cleared up so much!
This is seriously my favourite beauty channel!! my skincare routine has improved drastically.Thank you sooo much♥️
It's been 12 days since I cut sugar and dairy, and I reduced my intake of refined carbs, and yeah I see huge difference, because before I started this diet, I used to wake up every day with new pimples on my face, the longest I've gone without waking up without new pimples was 3 days(I have been struggling with acne for 7 years) but now it's been 10 days and there are no new pimples, and the acne on my face is already healing and fading away, same with the acne on my shoulders and chest, I still have marks though, however I won't lie, ever since I stopped sugar consumption I feel like sh*t, I can't stop craving sugary stuff and sweet deserts, and I keep looking at recipes of cake,donut...and all that crap, the only thing keeping from actual giving in is my progress with my skin, I've never in my 7 year struggle with acne had this much improvement in a matter of few days, and I don't want to ruin everything
Keep it up 💪
how is the journey so far? still cut sugar and diary? i'm curious! :)
Can you do a video on drugstore products that help get rid of acneee ❤️
YES PLEASE !!!!!!!!
This isn’t drugstore but you might be interested in giving curology a try. It’s different than most products bc they send you a personalized formula. You can use my link to get your first bottle for free share.curology.com/x/vI5GCm and see if the first formula works for you!
i read alot of people that used stridex. it’s basically an exfoliating pads loaded with 2% salicylic acid which is a superb ingredient for fighting acne. plus it’s very cheap. but i haven’t got the chance to try it out myself yet😆
Check out dr. drays channel. Shes a dermatologist and she has changed my entire life lol
Madeline Henry what videos do you recommend
This is great information! I've also discovered that in addition to sugar and dairy, wheat and gluten products cause inflammation. I've cut it out of my diet along with dairy, and I've noticed a big difference in my skin. Less breakouts and less bloating. Sugar is my problem child, but I try to minimize it when I can.
Oh my gosh, I just found your channel and I feel so blessed; not only do you offer great and practical advice, but your genuine personalities paired with how informative you both are truly amaze me. Thank you! :)
i really enjoy your videos because they connect what i’m learning in science class and skin care!!
I went to check the door over and over again so confused....thenI realized there was a doorbell sound effect in this video!! Lol 🤦🏼♀️ 🤦🏼♀️ 🤦🏼♀️
omg I sooooo loved this video. I have pcos and this goes hand in hand and I had no idea this played a role in my acne breakouts. I learn so much on this channel.
I love all the nerdy content! Honestly this has quickly become my favorite beauty channel.
Thank u for this information is very clear and easy to understand and we have many options for make a healthy meal for our skin.
rowena always looks like she's about to burst into laughter everytime she smiles and felicia is always the goofiest i luh ya both 😝❤️
My skin was clear when I've been lay-low from soda and sweets before. But recently I noticed that my acne got triggered again when Im into soda this past few weeks.😿 very informative vids. I gained knowledge☺️ thankyou!
That's right I've tried many medications and went to 3 different doctors/dermatologist but my acne is still back. I've been in a dairy free diet for 3 weeks now. I can see the improvement in my skin. Less pimple and my skin became dry too. I was so oily back then. I'm going to try change my lifestyle slowly but sure.
I seriously don't know what I'd do without this channel Haha not only is it saving my skin but improving my health as well !! Love you guys !! Thanks for being so informative and helping me love my skin again !! Haha ❤
Have tried Walnut Milk instead of milk? thats a great substitute
Honestly you two are life savers! All your skin care videos are not only recommendations but have the education side to everything. AMAZING videos please don't stop.
Aww thank you so much! Means a lot that you're enjoying the factual side of skincare, because it's so important to understand how it all works together with the products that we use! We appreciate you, thank again for commenting! 😊- fel
My favourite beauty Chanel, your videos helped me getting control of my acne breakouts and scars 😍looking for upcoming videos .
This video was so educational and I'll definitely be looking into trying a lot of these products. Thanks!

I gain more knowledge watching these videos, than being in school 🐝
Hahah this is the best comment! 😂 - Fel
Amazing video! I learned so much about my body and the way my habits affect me. I had never even heard of oat milk before and it sounds so yummy I can't wait to try it! Really love your videos! Thankyou for all the information you transmit us💙💙💙
Loved this video on internal systems and skin !
You're always so informative, thank you for this!!!
An info graphic of all the foods you should eat would be so helpful!
Loved this so much 💕
Definitely believe healthy skin is not only good skincare but also diet. I love dairy but always try to use alternatives as it makes such a noticeable difference for me.
Thanks for the great content ⭐️
This video is everything I needed! Planning to make the healthy lifestyle changes + have loads of motivation 🥰
Very informative! Love your videos!! I have learned so much! ❤️
Love it! Would you like to do a video where you test different probiotics and see the change in skin? That would be so helpful! 💕
you guys could do a video on creating daily meals (from breakfast to dinner + snacks!) that incorporate these vitamins/superfoods etc!
Just have to say you guys are my favorite on UA-cam, I am always watching your videos!
At 28 and all through my 20's actually I was infested with big nasty whiteheads all over my forehead, By the time they went away 10 more would sprout up to replace them. Tried all the face washes, quit coffee, changing pillow cases etc.. and nothing worked. So decided to quit all dairy and protein shakes/bars this year and over a month later my face has 100% cleared up and not a new zit in weeks which is miraculous for me. Just faded tiny spots that are going away from where the old ones were. Without a doubt the dairy was my sole contributing factor.
Awesome man 😊
Thanks again and again for the precious professional video🙏
What do you guys think about celery juice? Please do a video about celery
Row, your makeup looks great in this video!

Wowowowowooww this is literally everything I was looking for in one video, you ladies are amazing. Thank you 😊
Thank you for that video !! It’s my favorite!! I love you girls !! ❤️❤️❤️
I absolutely love this video. I have cystic acne and I am on the verge of accutane and I have been so confused about whether I want to do it or not...thinking months about this. It's a big personal decision. I've cut out sugar and dairy which is soooo hard for me because I havent found a milk replacement that I like. I want to try the oat milk after watching this! Thanks so much for all of this info! I'd love more gut health/acne videos like this!
Oh man, I can't imagine the pain you're going through right now! It's definitely a difficult process but one we both know will help in the long run. Oat milk is pretty great so we hope it's something that suits your palate! Wishing you all the best in your skincare journey! ❤️️❤️️
I'd love to see some videos about rosacea.. ❤ i love your videos, there is so much work in it.. unbelievable😍
"anything that's fermented"
me taking notes: okay so beer is good
I really love you guys! You have no idea how much your videos have helped me! Would you be able to do a video on dark spots and sunspots on the face?? 😁❤️
I feel like this should be tought in high school during health class haha
I'm lactose intolerant and when I grew up with my grandparents, my grandmother was big on not eating sugars because diabetes was common for the females on her side. I decided to drink Almond milk to allow my stomach a break; I don't really eat too much sugar even in cereals. When I went back to milk because I ran out of almond milk and my mom couldn't remember what kind I drank (vanilla), I noticed I had an increase in acne flare-ups. When I went back to almond milk, I noticed my acne flare-ups went down.
I looove this video! So insightful!!
The amount of work you guys serve us. Thank you 😆
Awh! Thank YOU for being soo supportive! The whole BW team loves you!
I was just going to try start eat vegan for a month or so because I think milk and sugar and stuff is whats causing my acne, so thanks for giving some more in debth information!
I tried sugar free and dairy free dietary for 3 months. It is AMAZING !! My acne is significantly reduced.
Love the video and milk suggestions girls. U have convinced me to try turmeric and black pepper in the am.
Really enjoyed watching this.
Ok so I never knew about oat milk, and I’m allergic to almonds, so I was always like stuck in my mind BUT WOW IM SO EXCITED
My favorite girls 😘 I binge watch your vids while working out ☺️💕 Makes workout much more fun
I did an elimination diet. And discovered that I was allergic to dairy. I got red bumps that developed into acne when I added dairy into the elimination round and it was horrible. I've been dairy free for almost a year now and my face has never been more normal.
Love this please do more!!!
You guys are the best!
This is one of your best videos! It has helped me realise that cheese and chocolate were behind my ocasional breakouts! Thank you!
I stopped eating dairy for one week and my skin already produces less oil. Thank you
Woah.... this actually confirmed with what my dermatologist recommended for me to do when it comes to milk. I had hormonal acne and aside from giving me medication for my acne and topical ointments, she also told me to avoid milk due to the hormones that it contains. I’m currently drinking only almond milk and my skin has never looked better. Also, another thing I like to add, having too much androgens can also make you have irregular periods. Too much androgens causes your body not to ovulate, thus making your menstrual cycle more irregular and heavier on the flow. Thanks for always informing everyone on how to take care of ourselves inside out 😁😁😁
Thanks for sharing!!! It’s really wonderful!!!! 🎈🎈❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍
If u want another way to find foods but stay at your local grocery stores shopwell has an app that u put in your dietary needs and then u scan your food and it tells you if it works with your diet restrictions
I really liked this video! I learned a lot!
I'm trying to drink and eat less dairy products & sugar lately because my friend suggest it. I think it really help minimizing my acne, but i don't know why. But after watching this video now i finally understand why. Thank you for uploading this video!!
These are SOOO Informative! Thank you! 🙏
Hi Claire, yayyy glad it was helpful!
I really like the videos where you take action against skinproblems/struggles but from the inside. I didnt know a lot about food and it is impressive. Thank for the video and I hope you will make other related to food and skin. 😀💕
D'awww thank you for being so sweet! 😘😘 We'll def consider making more videos on food and skin sometime in the future!
This is more useful informative than my family doctor.Really thank u 😗
Yes please more food videos, how to eat more healthy for acne! Maybe more recipes or snacks?
Can't wait for the review of OleHenriksen and other popular brands
Omg rowena your top is really cute!!
love y’all 💓💓
Thank you so much for this video. I've learned for quite sometime that processed food, especially refined sugar is not the best food for my body. But, lately, I've been a bit loose and pretty much ingesting more refined sugar and simple carbs. As for dairy, I'm going to be stricter on my vegetarian-to-vegan diet. It has done wonder to my face so far! :D
Yessss more of this. 💗it ty
I've been looking foreward to this! 😍😍😍
This is very helpful girls. It’s time for me to eat clean and have healthy skin. 😍💖
Hemp milk is the tastiest
Sooo glad that I’m lactose intolerant and grew up on alternative milk!
i took notes this is my favourite.
I would love to see a video about food that promotes anti aging and skin regeneration.
Idk if u remember but I was on the live! So I have a video request, so recently I've been looking into starting a sheet mask collection. I searched for reviews or holy grails but 1.) there's like none of those videos
2.) if there is I don't trust them
3.) they're from years ago
I only trust u guys with my skin so plz do this video! And ofc I have to say this, I love u guys sm! U guys r so credible!
can you guys make a vid about pimples that develop under the skin i have one rn on my chin and it hurts! love this vid btw so helpful
You two are sooooo gorgeous❤️
I stopped dairy and sugar and my skin is clear(also i lost weight)! It only breaks out a little when its the time of the month. I have been eating ALOT of red bell peppers, spinach, almonds, and carrots (daily as snacks). Also i noticed that products that include petroleum and mineral oils clog my pores so i try to stay away!
