I know, I get so jealous, because it feels like all my friends have normal skin because they hardly use any skincare products, and always have perfect skin and rarely get acne if they even do get acne. It's really frustrating because I have combination skin which I feel like is one of the most difficult skin types. But, I actually really like working on my skin a lot, and having skincare products. I would really like to make skin care products as well.
I just want to point out that the grease our oily skin produces is NOT hydration, but a barrier to prevent the skin from getting even more dehydrated. Hydration is water. It's possible and common that people with oily skin have very dry skin underneath the grease, because their skin lack hydration. Love the video and you gals!
Growing up I was always told I had oily skin. When I was younger a woman who gave me a facial said I had such DRY skin, but when I told my mom she said "no, you have acne so you have oily skin. That's how it works." So I figured my mom knew better. Years later after abusing my skin with drying soaps and treatments and toners I realized I have dry, acne prone skin. I thought having skin so flaky you can't even apply makeup was normal. I was using cheap night cream under my regular day time moisturizer because it was soooo bad. But I had acne and every website said "oily skin causes acne because of excess sebum". Now I realize my skin was probably so dry that I had cracks in my skin barrier causing bacteria and stuff get in. I still have big pores but I think that's just because both my parents do, doesn't mean mine produce a lot of oil. I even googled just a couple of years back after I made the switch away from drying, oily skin products about if you could have dry skin and acne and several websites claimed "its so uncommon, are you sure it's not just dehydrated?" So I was never sure. When I applied the blotting paper after waiting it didn't even stick at all. It stuck to my lip balm I had on but no oil at all. I could only find a couple of tiny little dots here and there. Nothing else. I looked up dehydrated oily skin and apparently it is oily but feels dry and tight and gets flaky. Nope. Not to say I never produce oils but man if this isn't dry. I have to make sure I exfoliate and moisturize my whole body regularly or it gets pretty bad. I guess I'm like a unicorn, but worse.
OMG I HAVE THAT EXACT SAME SKIN TOO ITS OILY EVERYWHERE BUT ALSO DRY AND FLAKY AND ACNE PRONE EVERYWHERE SO I don’t know WHAT TO DO! I finally found someone like me
I HAVE YOU SAME SKIN!! My skin barrier was completely damaged, so im assuming Your skin barrier needs repaired. I would focus on skin barrier repair with serums(the ordinary makes a barrier support serum and I use a cica toner water as well) and only spot treat acne. Try using cosrx 95 galactomycines and cosrx snail mucin toner(I think its like 96% snail mucin). For the spot treatment, something like Kate Summerville spot treatment works well(it's a bi phase that you don't shake, you dip a qtip in it). I know there are cheaper ones too, quick Google should find one- they need to have Sulphur basically. Use gel moisturizers, especially ones with high amounts of glycerin and aloe leaf juice. Clinquie moisturize surge in the pink jar is great, again there are cheaper options too. Hyaluronic acid isn't as good as glycerin for oily on top and dry/dehydrated underneath. Look for combo skin products. I know it's a lot of steps, but as you repair you skin, you will need less and less. I started with all those steps twice a day and now I can just do them at night and have been able to rotate products. I also have hormonal acne on top of all that too, so I feel you.
@@funsizedi88 trust me i already have a routine now that works. my skin barrier is healed but its still dry. i just had dry acne prone skin but for years every skincare stuff you could buy was focused on sucking all of the moisture out of your skin as possible because acne=oily skin by default. i also don't use any over the counter spot treatments except for the occasional pimple patch (that just sucks the gunk out, not any that are medicated). I gave up as none of them really worked and as I got older I developed rly painful hormonal acne. So I went to a doctor and got put on tretinoin and I've been almost entirely free from acne with that and medication/supplements for hormone balance. It was irritating to go years with over the counter stuff that did nothing until my acne became absolutely painful only to find out I was supposed to go to the doctor instead of wasting my money for years on stuff that wasn't working. But I'm glad it's better now. Now I focus on hydrating ingredients, especially because tret can make your skin even more sensitive and dry. But now I feel free.
@demonninetaledfox oh I'm so glad that you got it all worked out! I'm sorry, I thought you were currently suffering. I know it's not always easy to get to a derm and insurance sucks with covering the cost(been going thru that battle myself recently). I know how bad it can be to have hormonal acne and your skin type, as I'm going thru thr same BS right now. Tret worked OK at 0.25 but not much better than OTC stuff I was already using my doc didn't want to give me a higher dose until I'd been on it for 6 months, and with my insurance, it was costing me $120/mo btwn co-pays and prescription costs.
According to what I learned in Cosmetology class, sensitive skin is not a skin type but a skin condition. Therefore, any one of the other four skin types can also include sensitivity. You could have dry skin that is also sensitive etc. So it's possible to have sensitive skin regardless of whatever skin type you have.
I'm a licensed Esthetician and just to clarify there is a difference between sensitive and sensitized skin. Sensitive is actually more genetic because it is more internal than external. if someone has rosacea or eczema, they were born with that condition and they will always have sensitive skin because their skin is always gonna be more vulnerable and unable to tolerate certain things, because it is lacking something internally no matter what. Fair people also get flush super easily, I would consider that more reactive than sensitive (but sometimes its both) and it is genetic, thank you northern European heritage! Sensitive can also be allergic, ingredients like dyes and fragrances are often added to products and many people are simply allergic, also genetic. Sensitized is purely environmental, like if someone never moisturized they will have comepletely obliterated their barrier and it is now sensitized by anything (even moisture) Sunburn is sensitizing. Waxing is sensitizing. Vitamin A is sensitizing. But it is something external causing a temporary heightened reactivity. Whether its a condition or type products absolutely can help, but the internal vs external is what makes it a type vs a condition. Sensitized being more appropriate for condition of the skin in my opinion.
Well mature skin is a skin condition as well not a skin type because you can be oily as well as have mature skin. So the skin types are oily dry combination and normal, the rest are skin concerns/conditions. but don't forget about the fitzpatrick skin type scale because that is very important as well, and the fitzpatrick scale has six skin categories from the pale-est skin tones all the way up the the darkest skin tones.
I've just began trying to understand and care for my skin and body and there is so much material on the internet that I'm so so so overwhelmed holy cow.
My mom dad and all 4 of my brothers never had acne or skin problems in their life but here I am looking like a walking connect the dots games on my face 😑
i have normal to oily combination skin and IT STEPPED MY GAME knowing the skin type. I would use anything that seemed popular, fancy and catchy. Boy did i abuse my skin. Thankyou for your help!!! Love the content and effort from Beauty Within team!!
What helped me a lot was an electric massage brush and a scalp tonic with lots of nourishing ingredients. This plus changing my shampoo/conditioner to natural cosmetic products without paraben etc. My scalp and hair has never been healthier and I need way less haircare products.
And to add to this... dry scalp that’s itchy, but no dandruff and appears healthy..bc I want to try certain products but I don’t have dandruff so I’m afraid of the product being too potent, etc.
Agh, thank you for this! Additional fun fact: sensitive skin is something you’re born with (ex: eczema), sensitized skin on the other hand (which I used to confuse sometimes) happens over time due to those environmental factors, products that we’ve used, etc :) hope this is helpful
My dad got very dry skin lately, and suffered an insane amount of flaking and dandruff, and due to various age related medication, his skin is very sensitive. Got him the La Roche-Posay shower oil for sensitive skin, and he was happy to say his skin condition cleared up after a couple of washes.
I literally watched the whole video without skipping. I just want to say THANK YOU for making such an informative video while also making it interesting enough for me to want to watch the video in its entirety! I’ve always struggled with my skin and wondering whether my skin was dry, oily, or both. You guys helped so much! This is the first video I’ve watched from your channel and I subscribed instantly! Ok I’m done but I just wanted to say thank you thank you thank youuuuuu!!! 💞💞💞
I have sensitive and combination skin. It was so much time to figure out what type of skin I have. For years I used wrong skin care. And it was even harder because I have food intolerance, so it made harder to figure out my skin. But now I start to get better and better in my skin care.
I used to have very dry skin with eczema on my face and some parts of my body too. For years now I have been using AVEENO cream on my whole body including face and eczema actually disappeared after using it for over a year. I still use it, but now I can actually enjoy other, nice smelling creams and can experiment with my face skincare as before I would not be able to put anything else on my skin as it would immediately turn red and burn. So I am pretty late into the skincare world, but enjoy to discover all the products that are out there. Also, I think that over the years of using the AVEENO cream, I have more combination skin in the summer and mildly dry in the winter. Certainly not as bad as it used to be. It is a miracle!!!
@@BeautyWithin Hey Felicia! Thanks for the reply. I'm a guy that loves skin care. I actually use multi steps including double cleansing, toner, essence, serum, eye cream, and moisturizer. Plus I see an esthetician montly
Having normal skin is a blessing & a curse too! Obviously I’m super thankful for having good skin, but it’s hard to find a skincare routine since a lot of skincare videos mainly focus on oily, dry and combo skin ;-; so yeah, idk what skincare routine I should have to prevent wrinkles, etc... yaaay...
Best thing is to have a "plain jane" mositurizer aka no active ingredients in your cleanser and moisturizer, i would do a more creamy cleanser and slightly heavier moisturizer in the winter, and a foaming, ph balanced non stripping cleanser in the summer with a more gel like, lighter weight moisturizer. Sun screen every day, acid based exfoliation 2-3 times a week, and a serum will be your best friend for anti aging. You could also do a more anti aging moisturizer at night also.
I comend the confidence of Felicia and Rowena to talk about their skin type publicly.. They're confident enough to somehow laugh about it. I love you both ☺️❤️💪🏼
I definitely have oily combo skin. This channel has really helped me kickstart a thorough skincare routine and I’m more conscious of observing how my skin reacts to things :)
I used to have combination skin but ever since I added Alpha Beta daily peels and Caudalie oil to my routine it has become more normal. It took a while for my skin to fully change though. Probably about 3 months of total commitment to the products, but so worth it! We are very fortunate to have so many products and advice at our disposal to keep our skin healthy.
This video opened my eyes to a lot of things I was doing wrong! Thank you so much for the info girls! :D After watching this videos I feel like I'm probably a combination + dry and sensitive skin, my forehead and nose are oily and my arms and cheeks are red and blotchy and everytime I shower it looks 5x worse! I do have dandruff as well especially in the winter. I've always been terrible at hair and skincare which is why I watched the video. I'm going to get rid of my foam cleaner I didn't realize it was making it worse. (One time I used perfume, very first time, it burned my skin soo much, I took 3 showers and it still burned and was itchy! Never have I used perfume again, only body mist and on my clothes not my skin!)
Tiara Diva Shea butter definitely helps with dry flaky skin and eczema( I also have a business about it that you can check out if you would like zswhippedsheabutter)
Your skin is most probably dehydrated. Not dry, not oily, but dehydrated. It was an eye-opener for me, but this is what causes overproduction of oils in flaky dry as desert skin people like us. Focusing on products that help holding water has improved my face loads.
combination & sensitive! I used to have oily skin but ever since I realized I had sensitive skin as well and using the right products, my oil production has normalized a little :)
I know that your comment is 2 years old, but this is where I am right now! I have definite sensitive skin and used to be dry with it, but I now have an extremely oily face, but only really after using moisturiser (for oily skin). This test showed an oily t-zone, but the blotting paper didn't stick to my face at all. I also have huge pores. I really don't know what to do. Spots in my mid-30s is not it.
Usually the reason with people having oily skin is because of their cleaning routines. If we don't use moisturizer our skin produces even more oil to help our skin. We can also use ice to remove oils on our skin. As for skin that is too dry some use ice or wash their natural oils off daily and don't realize this. This will make skin appear sensitive. Now for others who have sensitive skin and breakout easily I would suggest using a foreo luna mini and rose water to exfoliate skin. Don't press down just gently clean in circles for about 1-2min every other day or atleast 3 times a week.
my skin is just craaaazy! I have a combo skin with the central part being oily and the rest is super dry, especially the eye area that is suuuuupeeeer sensitive. In my country skin care is not that developed, so I struggle to find products abroad, your channel has been helping me a lot! thank you so much girls
Definitely dry as the Sahara desert! But not dehydrated as my skin is plump! Yay!! Running to put my skin care on now... thank you for another wonderful video. 🤗👍👍😘🇨🇦
I have combination skin. It goes from oily in the T zone and dry for the cheeks. And then it decides to change up where it is dry and oily. When I have the skin care routine that works for my skin (not stripping, hydrating) my skin evens out and is more normal and overall happy. It took a bit to find something that works and to actually listen to what my skin needs. A lot of testing and trying out different products to see what my skin likes🙂
Whenever I watch you two, it always makes me smile. You guys are soooo fun to watch, especially when you guys are together. I had a normal skin and still do, but I easily get envy of new skincare products so I tried some and ended up ruining my skin. Before, my skin was flawless and I rarely get pimples, but now, I have pimples all over my face. Still trying out some products for it to heal. Hoping for the best to bring my normal and flawless face back. Your tips and knowledge are very helpful.
People with freckles are more prone to skin cancer. I used to have freckles but slowly they started dissappearing? I loved my freckles but idk where they went. Maybe heaven
@@zeoceania2765 While that may be true, freckles aren’t dangerous. And freckles normally fade with age or time. Freckles are caused by sun exposure, and are pretty much harmless. If you have freckles, skin cancer should not be the first thing you think of.
I have very dry skin, I have keratosis Pilaris but luckily not severely on my face and this video really helped! I also have very sensitive skin so it also helped finding good products to use!
I used to hear about pores all the time and I had no idea what that was because I have very dry skin with really small pores while my friend had really oily skin and I was just always confused but I finally understand! This video was really informational, thank you :)
I have allergies so I basically have really dry skin around my eye area from tearing up and alot of wiping with tissue, but even tho its dry in some places I'm convinced that I made it be combination skin when it was normal skin, but because what I make it go through, and it slowly just became dryer and dryer
Please do a video on the silikone luna mini 2!! Its a silikone "brush" for all skin types and it spous to not damage the skin like normal brushes. Please do a video with impressions and thoughts on it!!! Love your videos!!!💕💕💕
My skin changes with the season. In the fall: it’s pretty normal, nothing crazy happening. winter: I’m as dry as a saltine cracker in the desert. Spring: oil moguls would pay millions for this face. Summer: a new kind of sensitive hell.
It's almost impossible for us who lives in the Philippines to have clear skin. Those who are though, are either naturally flawless that no matter the season is still okay or ppl that lives in an airconditioned place. The temperature's like a trial card for hell. 😭
Nina Weber freckles are ugly and a medical sign of melatonin issues or premature sunspots of course it could be born naturally but it basically means easy UV damage.Basically meaning said person is more susceptible to skin cancer.
@@JAYJAY-ch4ik Looks like somebody here is jealous they don't have freckles! Maybe if you opened your mind to other forms of beauty you wouldn't act so ugly on the inside
Alaina Andert I think the one calling the kettle black is the one with a ugly heart. Your narrow mindedness can not comprehend my intentions. I dismissed freckles simply because there is a movement of freckles beauty where products like ink tattoos that is highly toxic gets permanent inked to created fake freckles. Natural freckles by all means but it is a medical condition of higher cancer rate for skin which should be taken care of with sunscreen applied religiously. I call it ugly because in Asian culture and for the matter this is a Korean video, freckles, pigmentations are a disaster for all of us. Instead of calling me names understand our culture that it is abhorred and the medical issues behind that. In my opinion it is ugly in your opinion it is beautiful maybe because you have it. If even one spot happened on Asian skin we would go to the dermatologist to resolve it ASAP. Here in Korea it is a common practise to go into the clinic once a week for facials etc. Freckles in your opinion is pretty, cool, but preaching it is nah why? Freckles is a skin condition in medical terms and that is my thinking. Your mentality of me being jealous is ridiculous, you following and watching Asian skincare should understand we value glass skin, porcelain clear skin etc. But that said I am sorry if you feel offended and I am sorry to everyone else who were offended by my views. I stand by my views where freckles isn’t a nice thing simply because of the fact that it is more susceptible to skin cancer and at the aesthetics point of view asians do not love it unless in western white washed cultures. If you truly love freckles I think Asian routines am not really suitable for you since aha, bha, vitamins etc are usually used to lighten pigmentations and freckles is a pigmentations and Asian skincare values crystal clear skin so if you don’t get that your on the Asian perspective side of things then let me remind you once and for all you have your views great I have mine and I do not mean to offend you till you greeted me with offensive text I merely replied and said it as a skin condition why so sensitive.
JAYJAY oh dude her having an issue with what your saying was probably that you said medical issue but it’s ugly which yes I totally get what your saying bc I’m a redhead and I can’t go out in sun very much, your right higher chance of skin cancer. No one would call a medical condition ugly. If you truly say it as an issue to be aware of saying it’s ugly makes you seem like a negative person over the internet when you may have not meant it in that way. so I get what she means. a medical yes but it’s not something to make fun of and “call ugly” maybe you do need to open up your eyes.
When I was a teen-ager, I had combination skin. Only my forehead and nose were oily. From the ages of 10 to 14, I had to wash my face every few hours. The more I washed it, the clearer it got! If I went all day without washing, it would be broken out at age 13! No Accutane back then. I'm SO glad that's over! By 16 years old in junior year of high school, it was back to normal! No more problems.
its dehydrated, the oil you produce yes keeps your face "hydrated" but to me it sounds like you need to steam your face. This will prevent those flakes and the more often u do it the less flaky it will be for that period of time. To steam your face u boil a pot of water and pour it into a bowl, then take a towel and put it over your head while u lean forward and put your face above the bowl for 5 minutes. The towel should trap the moisture into the air and then it has no where else to go but your face and condensation will occur, therefore apply the hydration back into your skin. While you do this it should feel almost like a sauna on your face. Once the time is up rub in the the excess water collected onto the skin and moisturize and this should fix the dry flaky patches for the time being. However i do not know what to do about your oil production because personally i have normal skin but its been on the dry flakey side lately and this is what i do to help reapply the moisture back into my skin. Honestly i recommend this to anybody with any skin type cuz it is also used to unclog your pores.
I use a 12hr moisturizer for sensitive skin from Olay, they have it on a non sensitive version to Plus I have to exfoliate my t-zone due to flakes, I use an apircote seed exfoliater as it's safe for daily use, I prefer St. Ives
Aww my face ... T zone will be oily rest of the face really dry.... Sometimes easily get acne.... Sometimes breakouts... Sometimes my t zone are dried to the core..... Allergic to some natural products..allergic to some chemical products.... Anybody hre like me
If we have a combination skin then what cleanser and moisturiser shall we use dry skin type , oily skin types or all skin types??? Btw i love your videos 🥰😘💗
My mom has perfect skin , she has never gotten more than one pimple, on the other hand , my dad has very oily skin and had acne problems when he was a teen. I got very good skin in general and I’m only a little oily on my T zone and I get pimples only when I’m gonna have my period.
What about teens? I think I have combo skin, but could the oiliness just be from puberty? Could this potentially change or not really. I'm 15 (to be 16). Thanks for the help! By the way, this was super helpful! I'm planning on re hashing my skincare and beauty routine and will be making seasonal routines!
I’m not an expert by any means but from my experience, I think so. I’m 22 years old now and my skin when I was a teen is way different from how it is now. During puberty, my skin was super sensitive and would flare up so easily whenever I applied any sort of acne treatment except for a small few products. My skin was also producing a lot more oil and i got bigger breakouts as a result. I believe both were due to my hormones going haywire during puberty. Whereas now, my skin feels more dry and it doesn’t seem to be as sensitive to products as it was before. Those this question also makes me wonder about women and AFAB individuals who are pregnant? They also undergo dramatic hormonal changes in their bodies and that could lead to changes in their skin too!
Also too much dairy can create a oil on skin and that leads to acne. If this is happening I suggest trying a non dairy such as almond milk also drink less sugar drinks. Eat more veggies and fresh fruits. I'm not saying to not eat greek yogurt but definitely try plain greek with fresh fruit.
Thank you so much.. I suppose I have adult acne because during my teen days I never had acne, blackheads, whiteheads.. My skin was so clear and good. But, now, I have skin problem... Probably due to hormonal changes.. I don't like it anymore..
Same!! I have large nose pores, but my face flakes really bad if i dont use moisturizer, but weirdly i might have fungal acne inbetween my eyebrows? But thats were im flaky the most so i don’t understand how to help LOL
Mine are combo to oily + dehydrated on the face, super dry on the whole body, oily scalp but dry on the shaft. It's quite difficult to maintain since I need a lot of products on me
My mom has always had great skin with freckles. My dad has oily severely acne prone skin. I have dryer than the dessert acne prone skin! My hair is also so drastically different than my parents too.
Dry/Combinaition+ Sensitive My dad have an oily skin with A LIT of black head and oil on his skin My mum have a extreme sensitive skin who can be SOOOOO red if she touch it and is sooo dry
My face is usually dry as hell, my chin and scalp oily and then I'm sensitive as hell on top of it XD sometimes edges of my face get oily as well. In terms of the skin care, I'm confused
I loved the star sign comparison. I’m a cancer sun with a Capricorn moon. My mother is a Libra sun with a Capricorn moon. Although we are both Capricorn moons we have different suns. Replace the star sign info with skin types and it makes sense.
Other skincare influencers: never have caffeine or sugar it fucks your skin up You two: grab a coffee! 😂 I know who I’d rather listen to (hint, it’s you)
is it possible to have normal skin but can also be acne prone? I am confused. Because when I go to buy a skin care product, they say I have normal skin. But why do I still have acne?! :(
Aina Qistina you could have normal/combination possibly. I agree with their sentiment that most of us more than likely don’t just fit into one category. Like my skin is very dry, but I still get breakouts all around my jaw line so it’s hard to find acne products that don’t dry me out. Maybe you would benefit with a basic skin care routine for normal skin (gentle cleanser, basic moisturizer, spf) and just have some acne spot treatment on hand for when you get a breakout.
Same! Everytime i went inside a skincare store, when i mentioned that i have acne prone skin, the store clerks were like "wut". But i breakout every month😢
Could you please make an updated Suncare range of products you recommend, as there are always new releases in the skincare industry and best not sponsored by any brands like your previous one from La Roshe posay! Thankyou, it would be greatly appreciated if this was done! Also pls keep making amazing content! I love it! :)

Me too
Hey same here you guys xD it's annoying when my nose sweats it gets bad🤔😖
According to what I learned in Cosmetology class, sensitive skin is not a skin type but a skin condition. Therefore, any one of the other four skin types can also include sensitivity. You could have dry skin that is also sensitive etc. So it's possible to have sensitive skin regardless of whatever skin type you have.
Just thought I'd throw that point out there.
@@beautyfullyopinionated learned something new, thanks for the additional information and clarification
@@beautyfullyopinionated i also learned!!
Bless y'all for covering extremely dry skin and the callouses we get. I always see people gloss over how bad dry skin can get
I've just began trying to understand and care for my skin and body and there is so much material on the internet that I'm so so so overwhelmed holy cow.

Tips for healthy hair , how to grow hair faster, dandruff and healthy scalp
we'll def look into these topics! thanks for the ideas!! 💕 -Ro
What helped me a lot was an electric massage brush and a scalp tonic with lots of nourishing ingredients. This plus changing my shampoo/conditioner to natural cosmetic products without paraben etc. My scalp and hair has never been healthier and I need way less haircare products.
Agreed! Also, I love your profile pic! I'm a fan, so...yeah
And to add to this... dry scalp that’s itchy, but no dandruff and appears healthy..bc I want to try certain products but I don’t have dandruff so I’m afraid of the product being too potent, etc.
apple cider or vinegar mixed with water to spray on the scalp... read it somewhere
Agh, thank you for this!
Additional fun fact: sensitive skin is something you’re born with (ex: eczema), sensitized skin on the other hand (which I used to confuse sometimes) happens over time due to those environmental factors, products that we’ve used, etc :) hope this is helpful

Love your channel! I've become addicted to skin care
Yessss there's much to be addicted to hahah. But actually we just like to show you how simple it can be, regardless of how much is out there 😂 - fel
Obviously I’m super thankful for having good skin, but it’s hard to find a skincare routine since a lot of skincare videos mainly focus on oily, dry and combo skin ;-; so yeah, idk what skincare routine I should have to prevent wrinkles, etc... yaaay...
Random Random if i had normal skin, i’d use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer
True same.
Yeaaaah, you got me! I have that problem too :(
They say i have normal skin but whats with all this acne i have

I used to have combination skin but ever since I added Alpha Beta daily peels and Caudalie oil to my routine it has become more normal. It took a while for my skin to fully change though. This video opened my eyes to a lot of things I was doing wrong! Thank you so much for the info girls! :D
After watching this videos I feel like I'm probably a combination + dry and sensitive skin, my forehead and nose are oily and my arms and cheeks are red and blotchy and everytime I shower it looks 5x worse! Never have I used perfume again, only body mist and on my clothes not my skin!)
i have oily on my face and dry flaky skin all over my body :”)
Tiara Diva me too
You might just have a form of eczema.
Rub your face and then your elbows, free moisture, cruelty free! 😂
Before accutane: extra greasy with baaaad acne
During accutane: dry like a desert
Now: normal to dry 🙌 but my pores are still visible
Usually the reason with people having oily skin is because of their cleaning routines. If we don't use moisturizer our skin produces even more oil to help our skin. We can also use ice to remove oils on our skin. As for skin that is too dry some use ice or wash their natural oils off daily and don't realize this. This will make skin appear sensitive. Now for others who have sensitive skin and breakout easily I would suggest using a foreo luna mini and rose water to exfoliate skin. Don't press down just gently clean in circles for about 1-2min every other day or atleast 3 times a week.
I’m so excited for this video

I have combination skin. It goes from oily in the T zone and dry for the cheeks. And then it decides to change up where it is dry and oily. When I have the skin care routine that works for my skin (not stripping, hydrating) my skin evens out and is more normal and overall happy. It took a bit to find something that works and to actually listen to what my skin needs. A lot of testing and trying out different products to see what my skin likes🙂

"Skin problems" and then they list freckles. FRECKLES. Boy my freckles don't do anything they just show up in the sun and I love it.
People with freckles are more prone to skin cancer. I used to have freckles but slowly they started dissappearing? I loved my freckles but idk where they went. Maybe heaven
Freckles are really cute idk why people with freckles hate them 😔
It could be skin discoloration if they are showing up in the sun.
@@zeoceania2765 While that may be true, freckles aren’t dangerous. And freckles normally fade with age or time. Freckles are caused by sun exposure, and are pretty much harmless. If you have freckles, skin cancer should not be the first thing you think of.

PREACH
Only Channel I trust with my skin
When I was a teen-ager, I had combination skin. Only my forehead and nose were oily. From the ages of 10 to 14, I had to wash my face every few hours. The more I washed it, the clearer it got! If I went all day without washing, it would be broken out at age 13! No Accutane back then. I'm SO glad that's over! By 16 years old in junior year of high school, it was back to normal! No more problems.
What if my T-zone is oily *and* flaky at the same flippin time ? 😭😭
its dehydrated, the oil you produce yes keeps your face "hydrated" but to me it sounds like you need to steam your face.
I use a 12hr moisturizer for sensitive skin from Olay, they have it on a non sensitive version to
Plus I have to exfoliate my t-zone due to flakes, I use an apircote seed exfoliater as it's safe for daily use, I prefer St. Ives

Erin Schneider I’m wondering this also
I’m not an expert by any means but from my experience, I think so.
They also undergo dramatic hormonal changes in their bodies and that could lead to changes in their skin too!

is it possible to have normal skin but can also be acne prone? I am confused.
Because when I go to buy a skin care product, they say I have normal skin. But why do I still have acne?! :(
Aina Qistina you could have normal/combination possibly. I agree with their sentiment that most of us more than likely don’t just fit into one category. Like my skin is very dry, but I still get breakouts all around my jaw line so it’s hard to find acne products that don’t dry me out. Maybe you would benefit with a basic skin care routine for normal skin (gentle cleanser, basic moisturizer, spf) and just have some acne spot treatment on hand for when you get a breakout.
