QGO should be on every Q3. You can boost the resolution way further so everything is crystal clear.
Does every system update cause problems with using it? I want to try it out as long as it isnt a pain in the ass to use.
@@rockowilson2320 I've never had any issues with it. The developer is a hard worker and fixes minor issues before most people even notice
@@rockowilson2320 usually the day after the quest update, or two at max, you have the QGO update as well

I would love a in depth video on the quest game optimizer. I haven't really heard of it before
Quest Game Optimizer is a MUST HAVE for all Quest users but especially Q3 folks looking to play games that haven't been optimized for that headset yet. You should do a deep dive for sure. BTW an 18 watt or higher power bank or battery head strap eliminates the concern around extra battery usage when cranking up the render resolution and refresh rate.

Definitely go in depth on the Quest Optimizer Pro! I was just getting ready to install it but there's a couple of things I have a question and I think you Will breeze right through it!
I think the Quest Games Optimizer is probably the best $10 you can spend on your Quest! I especially like the option to switch off Fixed Foveated Rendering, and the possibility to sort games into different folders/categories.
I have been back a replayed some older games with QGO as it makes them look great!

I just unboxed my quest 2 after moving and I got it going again. I saw online laying down mode but can’t find that setting. Did they remove it or moved into a setting page?

To be honest I don't really look at the horizon feed that often or at all really. Doesn't mean I won't in the future just not a feature I use right now
the quest game optimizer upscales the resolution but that also means the temperature and battery consumption goes up. I just leave it as how it comes since each game is set up to pick the best system requirements and I actually cannot complain on the resolutions.

There are many videos on internet every game has already in an enchanted profile but you can even make your own even higher graphics so it will be so clear and sharp which I never seen in my life I am feeling playing another game

I like the UI changes. Find myself using the headset for more than just games these days.

Interested in QGO. Also curious about Q2 performance with it.
QGO works wonderfully for Q2 and Q3 (even PRO and Q1!). On a Q2 the graphics can be optimized by multiplying the resolution up to 4 times! Or improve performance for smoother gaming.
Get the extended warranty. Those are usually a scam but I got the 2 year warranty from best buy after i had gone through 2 returns for dead pixels. 7 returns later and i still haven't gotten one without dead or stuck pixels, but i gave up. Ill probably return it again before the replacement warranty runs out closer to the time the warranty will run out in 1.5 years, but im sure the replacement will probably also have dead pixels. There's a bunch of Reddit posts with people having replaced theirs more than i have.

I almost never look at the Horizon feed, I usually know what I'm going to play when i put it on and jump right into it.
Just got my quest 3 and it’s really blurry especially in mixed reality I tried different lighting moving it closer and changing the ipd but nothing really helps any suggestions what could help?

Anyone know when they are going to improve the Mixed Reality Quality on the Q3 due to its looks nothing like what I see online. And my room is well lit with a 150W light.
I still wish VR could use April-tags, like for fast calibration and correct orientation in a room, but also for placing windows, you can have one tag on the wall and get your friend list to be placed there and one tag on a tripod for UA-cam so you can move it around like a monitor and have a physical thing to move when you want to align the screen, it is a od thing that still is used in the industry for precision, you could even see them when Mark Zuckerberg made that virtual keyboard test to get millimeter precision, or then we now can scan our rooms we should have the option to snap them to the walls, art, doors and windows, or just align them according to roof and ceiling .

Haha probably not anytime soon. Their track record has been replacing the smallest storage size with a bigger one at the same price so more likely we'd see a 256 replace the 128 when the 3S launches.

@@byronfoster77 Mixed reality (MR) consumes much more battery than (VR) mode. The reason is the use of cameras but also the digital processing of these captured images for their restitution in the lenses which requires a lot of effort and energy from the Quest processor. You can lose up to 45 minutes of autonomy in MR compared to VR. It becomes essential to have secondary batteries (neck battery, strap with battery or exported battery) to prolong the pleasure of playing, especially if like me you like to play in MR! My choice fell on the KKCOB VR strap for its comfort, its low price and the extension of autonomy thanks to its magnetic batteries which allow gaming sessions of between 3 and 4 hours in total. With an additional 2nd battery, it's perfect for very long sessions!

I just got a quest 3 and was wondering if anyone had any tips or games I could try out. Already got beat saber. I had that on my pc-Vr valve index.
Walkabout Mini Golf is really good and has seemingly universal appeal. It's also reasonably priced (don't forget to find a referral code online for 25% off).
Walkabout mini golf is included with quest+ and if you are new to the quest I would recommend getting quest+ sub.
The Quest 3 should come with the free Meta exclusive game Asgard's Wrath 2 and if your a fan of Resident Evil the Meta Store Port of number 4 is really good. Also PCVR using Virtual Desktop to enable Wireless/Cable Free is worth going back to check out HL Alyx and other titles.
I created a hundred-page guide to getting started with the Quest. With best ofs, tips, hundreds of free games, everything you need to watch 2D, 3D, 180 & 360° movies, accessories etc... You have to go to KO FI and look for Majerik. The guide is free to contribute, choose the family version and put zero euros to get it for free! And welcome to VR !

I love my Q3, but the Tablet graphics & Lighter black levels, topped with less rich/vibrant colours hold it back just a smidge. Still, the amount of effort Meta is pouring into Q3 is super impressive. PSVR2 feels like it's nearly abandoned and just existing by comparison.

In response to Meta Horizon, I played with it for about a week after I happened to open horizon feed and it mentioned viewing live comedy and boxing matches, I had previously held off on opening it for a year-ish or so, and then jumped in, I thought it was cool being able to watch the live comedy shows, but otherwise I found the world either very empty and boring, or very annoying with how the majority of other users were extremely obnoxious little kids that were obviously under the 13yr old age limit, to the point that I just dont bother with horizon anymore.

Man just ordered my quest 3. 26 a month is easier to swallow than 499…
That's how they get you. It looks better but man $26 a month for 2 years for a vr is going to be annoying, plus you pay $100 more in the end.
If you have the money, just buy it up front, monthly payments suck especially if you have a sudden emergency and need the money

This update completely broke all my games. Rec room crashes when I get in my dorm room. Contractors crashes when playing multiplayer. I'm assuming that all my games that have any form of online content are the ones that crash due to games like Bonelab and Blade and Sorcery are not crashing. If anyone knows how to fix this I would really appreciate it.
