The physics in golf +, walkabout mini golf and eleven table tennis are mind blowingly amazing! I also hook up my vr headsets to my pc and the driving / racing sims are also completely mind blowing. I never get bored or driving a Cadillac around Daytona at night time! I love VR!
Yeah it's honestly wild how good it is. Thats been next on my VR checklist - I havent done any racing stuff, and really interested in potentially doing it. Also curious to try out something like Microsoft Flight Simulator.
@@breakingeighty better have a pretty decent computer! I would say a 3070/ti min and a nice Ryzen 5800 or above or 12-14th gen Intel chip. Also do it wirelessly. This is truly a game changer via Air Link or Virtual Desktop(the better more consistent way)
The weight of the club can be replicated almost exactly with the right accessory. Checkout Deadeye's Drivr. They have removable weights in it to get the exact weight of your clubs. Now you're basically at the driving range
Yup just got the Drivr Elite and it's incredible. I would definitely stick with the graphite shaft. I've read reports that the new steel shaft version is just too heavy
Great video! I have3 been a Quest owner since the Quest1 days and a Golf+ user since it's release. You conveyed the fun of the simulation perfectly! One thing I would add though, you mentioned the weight difference, but you didn't say anything about the controller adaptors like Helloreal and Yezro that have weights that make the controller feel the weight of your clubs. This adds a whole new dimension to the immersion. I also like when you said if you have a slice IRL you will prob. have one in the game. This is true and a testament to how well this game simulates real golf.
Love this game. Its alot of fun, especially when you get that attachment. So much fun to get involved in the tournaments and playing with other people.
Oh how I miss playing Golf+. It was so much fun and made winter here in Maine pass a bit easier. Played all last winter. Got a weighted gofl club attachment and even added additional weight. Then spring hit.... went out and all still my club heads felt like they weighed 20 lbs each.. missing and topping the ball. It was rough. Took about a month to get normall club weight feeling back. I still am fighting every urge to play Golf+ even as I type....
I gripped my control with the same pride grip I use in my clubs and besides not feeling the impact of hitting a ball it’s pretty much the same as real golf. Of course you miss out on scents, the feeling of wind and cold, the hit to your wallet that come from green fees and probably a few other minor elements.
[Golf+ Pro Tour Player] Love your review, as a suggestion for new players - Many of the Tour (Golf+) players use a small rug to stand on so if they start to move out of the play area, you will feel the difference with your feet so you know you need to readjust your position. Also many of the Pro Tour players use significantly weighted accessories to reduce the negative effect on their real game.

My friends group started with walkabout mini golf and every weekend we have a set tee time to gather online and have fun. We now started playing Ultimate Swing Golf and are planning on trying Golf+ Great device for bringing friends together
I play a lot of Golf+ as well. I use the DeadEye VR swing stick. You can weight it and it has a decent length. It feels about as heavy as my 7 iron. The only issue I find in relation to real golf is that you don't really know when you hit it fat or thin, at least I don't think it does. The unfortunate thing is the VR swing stick doesn't fit the Quest 2 controller. Great breakdown of the game!

yeah after having a bad round i tried playing and i had the same problem with pushing it and slicing haha, driver can cause some crazy ways of attacking the golf ball haha
I've been really impressed with how well the company has been supporting the game. From updates, to new courses, to the whole Tour+ league - it's etremely well done. Especially for a VR game, as many don't seem to have the resources to support so heavily.
I'm wondering if there is a setting where you can input your club head speed so that the carry distances in the game would be close to your real life carry distances. What about the short game? For example if you are in a greenside bunker would you use real life technique?

Yep, you'll be totally fine with 128 for those. I have a 128, and have all those, plus asgards wrath which is huge for a VR game, and still have plenty of space.

I still play Tiger Woods golf on the original Wii with a Wii remote+. Couldn't be happier. I heard there is a VR branch of Dolphin. Might be worth checking out 🙄
I don't have a treadmill, but I can walk around in my boundary, and I can teleport from tee to the pin. The thing is you still have to press the trigger to address the ball, so even teleporting to the ball you will still have to press the trigger and it will line you up itself. So, waling the fairway will not gain you anything at the moment. When treadmills get to be more mainstream, I bet Golf+ or another golf game will enable that feature. It's great at the moment though, that if you have a large play area, you can walk around your ball and read the green. I find this helps me to understand better how the green breaks from a different POV.
I'm gonna try to play Tiger Woods on the Nintendo Wii through Dolphin emulator in Hi def and VR...when I get around to it. I remember it was just the best golf game I ever experienced with a Wii remote+ back in the day. I'll see how it goes.

I absolutely love golf + now that meta is phasing out quest 2 maybe the designers of this game will be able to amp up the graphics a little bit in the quest 3.
That's not how they phase out something. They just don't make new games that support the quest 2. They don't ramp up old games so the quest 2 doesn't work anymore.

Tried Golf+ on my quest 2 with a weighted VR club. Returned the club and requested a refund on the program on the first day. Just did not work for me. In my opinion the club and the program need a lot of work.
Yeah, it does a surprisingly good job of replicating whatever your actual swing is. So if you slice, it will slice. Although there are different levels you can set this to, as well. So if you want more of an arcade experience, you can set it to be much more forgiving.
I might just need to pick up that golf grip. Have you played any Walkabout Mini Golf using it? I play that more than Golf+ at this point in time. Cheers!
Ok well if you want realistic VR Golf you play Golf5 Eclub . If you want an arcade game experience, play Golf + . Night n day difference. A club attachment for either is mandatory.

Just wanted to say that - there are also adjustable weights on it to make it to your taste - feels like metal or graphite shaft difference

It was good enough for me to purchase a golf club stick for my controller which is a game changer

I absolutely love 💕Golf+ on my Meta Quest 3 !!! I use the Yezro grip (90 degree adapter) Y11/Y13S and I have the best headstrap, BOBOVR S3 Pro.
You can go into options on golf+ and crank up the resolution much higher if your on a 3, i wonder if he did that

The swing attachment you want to get is the Deadeye with the weight on the end. It creates the feel of a real club.

Also works with quest pro… keep in mind you may have more accurate shots using the pro due to more accurate cam system.

You can 3d print one of many adaptors and buy a 2$ club from used sports store. Cut shaft for a great VR club.

I made a golf club attachment by cutting the end of 1 of my old clubs off & 3d printing a moint for the the controller.. it's AMAZING in WMG!!!
