I am the lead singer of the band “class of 85”. We are a new wave tribute band which requires a lot of low and high vocals. I use this video before rehearsal and every show! Thank you so much for putting this together.
This is so freaking good. I’m in a band and I recently hurt my left hand so I wasn’t able to play banjo. It was just me and my voice on stage. I did this vocal exercise about an hour before we went on. I found this video and did it exactly one time. And I had the most incredible vocal performance of my life. I didn’t miss a note and the timbre of my voice just shown through. Thank you for the gift in the world with us I really appreciate you
Love it! Simple love it! As a professional singer of 12 years, I can attest that these are some of the best exercises to both relieve tension and smooth out register transitions!
Awesome warm up. I am professional vocalist 20+ years and worship leader at my church and I use this video every performance to loosen up my vocals. Well done. 🙌🏼
I have my first audition in more than a decade of not performing or really practicing with intention. This was very helpful. I subscribed and will continue to follow you!
This is the most effective warm up i have seen on youtube, seriously. I've been using this everytime I need to perform or record. Congrats, it is AWESOME!
Thanks Chris. If you could hear me doing these your praise might not be so honest. But they get my whole vocal cavity and face mask vibrating. I have learnt that to get the high notes in particular requires energy. Beginning to get it after 8 months!
hey mate just letting you know you are my favourite vocal warmup and i hope you are doing well as you have been unknowingly a part of my life for the past like decade hahah
This was absolutely phenomenal! Thank you so much. My voice feels fantastic and so flexible! This is a game changer for me if I’m in a pinch for time. Thank you so much!
Thanks Chris for posting this warm -up, it was really helpfull, especially humming with tongue out really realesed my voice, thanks & all the best, Peter.
Love to sing from boyish. Rarely has problem with voice until this year as I turn 62. So I need to find some lesson of voice warming to be able to keep singing. And I found this vdo. It is amazing feeling good from the first trial. Thank you from Thailand.
I'm amazed at the tone of stamina of my voice when I do this compared to when I don't. That's true of any warm up, but this seems to be the one that gets me right where I want to be.
Thank you so much Christopher for this video... It's amazing... Your content is amazing :D Some requests if you can do videos on them: How to sing mixed voice ? and sing high notes mixing instead pulling chest voice up.. And how to not break while singing the passagio area.. How to make singing comfortable at the upper region to sing joyfully.. Thank you so much.. Hope you will post some videos on these topics also... Lots of love!!
Hi Shubham, thanks for the feedback and suggestions - that's so helpful. I will try and get round to doing these, would be great videos to do. Thanks again and take care
@@ChristopherDavidMitchell OMG.. Thank you so much sir for the reply.. Means a lot.. You are an amazing coach.. Have subscribed and followed you on Instagram too.. You help me a lot honestly... Waiting for your videos.. And will contact on insta if it is ok too!! Lots of love from me n my family ! Take care..
@Kristoffer Kyle Morales same here everytime I tried I gag each time so instead I just stick my tung out of my lips as far as they can go then I do the first exercise vibrating my lips and humming in the range he goes up and down its hard to explain lol
It's so strange that when Somebody named bob introduces himself to me I forget the name bob but Christoffer Dave Mitchel is just imprinted in my brain xD I'm just like Randomly once each year think wow my voice needs a warm up and I instantly remember your name and I think its because you are great and have an awesome name :)
The first three exercises were great and really warmed my mouth up. However the high end of the puffed cheek one I couldn't do, as well as the entirety of the last two exercises.
QUICK QUESTIONS: if I do this warm-up every day, will I become a better singer? I´ve been feeling better at speaking and articulating during my recruitment work interviews like something is improving. Thank you bro!
Haha, in Norway we use that sound to say R so we use it alot, and i got so bullied in kindergarden for not being able to do it😂 easiest way to learn it is to make machine gun sounds and then learn to remove the T sound🤭
Is the e book still up on the site? I couldn't find it. This video has really been helping me. I spent my life not trying to learn singing because I was told I'd never be able to learn. I'm changing the outlook that gave me all those years ago. So thanks

You were absolutely supposed to have your tongue sticking out for the first exercise!
Youre supposed to stick out your tongue on that first one
You're really helping me get my range and breath support back! My church congregation owes you thanks.
