FURNITURE MAKEOVER || Spraying with My Earlex 5500 and a New Paint

- I tried a new-to-me paint, Ovation Plus, and was shocked at the coverage. Spraying a dark color on top of a white primer, I was prepared to have to spray three coats. But I didn't! I found the paint to have only one drawback, which you can discover here, but in the scheme of things I give this paint a big thumbs up!
Items used include:
Sherwin Williams HGTV Ovation Plus paint, Blackened Pine
Earlex 5500 sprayer
TCP Paint Strainers
Restoration Primer
Zinsser Bin Shellac Based Primer
Plastic Wood wood filler
Bondo Wood Filler
Minwax Polycrylic, Matte

Lovely…I like wood conditioning the inside of drawers, leaves them beautiful.

@@tableflippinghousewife Yes, I paint furniture, but I usually use shellac based primer. I saw a youtuber use autobody primer (looks rust colored) which is cheap and in a spray can, but I havent tried it yet. It is oil based though.
@@heidisettles5537 I know what primer you’re talking about. I’ve seen him use it too. Zinsser Bin shellac based primer is the best but I like to spray things and I don’t want to put that into my sprayer since it’s oil based. And so expensive. I bought a spray can of it the other day for $22!!! That’s double what I could buy it for a year ago.

tip that might be helpful. on in rim of the paint can where the lid sits. take a nail and punch a few holes in the rim this way any paint will drip back into the can. i do this with lacquer etc.
