Hi, love the sofa, it's absolutely beautiful, I'm wondering how you taped the frame off from the upholstery fabric, I want to redo the wood on a chair and I'm very concerned about keeping paint off the fabric. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Lola. I didn't mask the frame. I went straight in. I know that looks and is scary! You could mask though. I would try Frog Tape or Painters Blue Tape. Just be sure not to leave any masking tape on for very long periods of time. Like leaving it half finished for moths. It can get sticky and ruin your fabric. Temporary use is perfectly fine. You could cover the bulk of the fabric with a cloth too. If you orientate your furniture so it is comfortable to steer the paint brush (and use a good one) it makes it easier to flow in a control line. I hope that helps :-)

Is there a way to download a photo here? I'd like your opinion on what color to use to match this color on my Bombay chest. I plan to head out
tomorrow to search. Also wondering if chalk paint will result in a smooth surface, if chalk is your recommendation. Thanks Angel.
