- Pilot Vlog 98. Flying a Southwest Airlines flight to Wichita, Ks where I pickup a new Cessna Citation M2 private jet at the Cessna Aircraft factory. I then fly the airplane single pilot to the Spirit of Saint Louis airport.

I’ve been working for Cessna(Textron) for going on 4 yrs as transportation bringing aircraft parts to each of the assembly plants and thought I’d seen a lot but this video made me ever so proud to see what I am a part of with the final beautiful product!!! Love the video

I have to agree.
You could not get a ride from the terminal to Cessna. Had to haggle to get a "free ball cap". I will be forwarding this on. Very embarrassing. I work there and take great pride in our people and our planes. Sorry we failed you on two issues. Senior management will be notified. Don't be embarrassed Mikey. Yes, the transportation thing was a minor inconvenience. They were going to give me a hat but, we got really busy and forgot. I reminded him and he grabbed one straight away and a great Yeti mug which my wife won't give back. I've been dealing with Cessna for twenty years and think they have a great product and exceptional team.
I love companies who genuinely care.

I bought a Prius a few years ago and had to convince the sales person to give me a hat. It's now one of my favorite hats! I'm glad Cessna could be at least that flexible wit you.

Flying the M2 seemed to put a bigger smile on your face than usual. Looks like a great plane to fly solo. I love the light jets, and the M2 is a beauty.

I did not pay attention the first time I saw the video.... thought you bought the jet for yourself. But I see what you mean, they treated you like royalty when you picked up the jet. I have to say again, I love the paint job on the plane. It's really a work of art! Safe flying!

I'm an ATC dropout and love them too...found a much less stressful job as an LEO.
Nice getting to see how the other half lives! I once got to go with a couple that Cessna was wining and dining to get them to buy a 10! They had previously bought two CJ2s. I went with them for the full thing, even got to take control of the 10 for a few minutes. What an amazing aircraft. They were never going to buy it. They are from The Netherlands and most of their flying is within Europe. 10 is just too much aircraft, but it was great to see how it all happens on that side of the fence!
I just realized, was the hat you lost FSI?
It was but I found it when I got back. It had fallen behind the pilots seat.

We took our boss, who was considering a Boeing out to Seattle, and not only did I get stick time in a 747, I got a Boeing leather jacket out of the deal, and he didn't even buy one, ha, ha, ha, on Boeing.

It is different seeing the 737 with winglets. I got so use to seeing my 747-400's with winglets.. We did the west coast and to Hong Kong and Beijing in my 747s... Thank you for letting us see your trips....Happy Veterans Day...
Those winglets are so popular I'm surprised that any of today's production aircraft don't have them.
I know what you mean about the coffee. I used to tell people 3 cups of coffee and I could thread a sewing machine while it was running. Long flights with no potty no coffee! Great videos. Wish I could fly with you some and listen to your knowledge.

Flexible, I've flown scheduled and charter. I can't tell you which I liked the best. Scheduled is great because you know your days off. Part 91 and 135 is great because you get to see places airlines don't go. It would seem your company knows the importance of assuring you have a good home life. From what you've shown me, I think overall you have a great team, and employer. Keep having fun.

I used to work at the factory that built the M2 and the Mustang. Polishing the De-Icing boots on the M2 is a dirty job!

when you was coming in for a landing just before touchdown, just to your right was the Learjet factory. Man, wish you would have came in for a visit. We have the best Customer service and you would have gotten more than just a free hat. probably a jacket to go with that free hat, lol
Hi Greg. I'd like to do more than that. I'd like to get my hands on one of those bad boys and take it out for a spin. Unfortunately, I've never had an opportunity to fly a Lear. I've never even sat in one.
Well next time you pick up a Cessna in Wichita, just look me up and I will give you a tour of the factory and let you check out a Learjet. I work in the flight/delivery as a flight Inspector and have access to all of the aircraft.
