Love it when Mike is with you … it’s really fun to see the obvious respect you have for each other and how well you work together … CRM doesn’t have to be dull, boring, routine, or pro forma … just both friendly and professional … it’s a pleasure to see … thanks for showing how to do it …
I take my young son to KDTS all the time with a vhf receiver and we sit out and watch the planes land and take off. Its been amazing watching that turn from a small air strip when I was little to what it is now. Great video.
Yes. I can remember my uncle taking me to Meacham Field as a youngster, leaning over the fence admiring the American DC-3's arrive and depart the terminal. The AA name still exists along the top of the terminal even though its a jet center now. Great times!
Jim, another great VLOG. So good to hear the "golden voice" of Captain Mike. We have missed him. You both did your usual calm way of working through the weather. Thank you for sharing with us. - Randy
Weather avoidance can be a challenge at times. It is easier, however, in a fast jet. People would sometimes ask me about, "...flying through thunderstorms ....." and the answer was always an easy one. " I DO NOT fly through thunderstorms." Then on to an explanation that thunderstorms are where things like HAIL live. Vertical winds shears and tornados live there too. Be Safe
Great video! Just flew in there. Had a rough bit of wind on short final near the trees but was happy with landing. Also heard the viper call sign on your departure out of Destin.
Captain Moonbeam, I have s huge favor to ask of you: could you perhaps do a complete exterior walkaround and full interior walkthrough (cockpit, galley, cabin, lav and baggage area) of the XLS? Very few pilots take the time to show their UA-cam subscribers details of the aircraft they fly. We'd like to know what a pilot would see and deal with before, during and after a flight, and what passengers would see and be surrounded with during a flight. Just thought I'd ask for all of your fans who'd like to know more about the aircraft. Thank you!!
What type of job/business do you need to be in to have the funds for a citation, 2 pilots to fly you to the beach, then return home, then come back later to pick you up?
Making act take care of you-ok-whole bunch of IFR-more risk fellas-it’s your rear in the hammock-clear to destination-act did this-you guys should back off in this aggressive weather. -but you only have to have one bad day-but-you made it congrats
The 3 displays that flicker in the videos are older CRT's with a refresh rate of about 60 hz (Like the old TV's) The Gopro's can't sync with this. But, as the light changes and the cameras adjust you do see some improvement as the light gets dimmer.
These guys have more skill than you can comprehend, nothing wrong with any of the decisions they made. You do what YOU think is best at that given time.
Alotta talking on the takeoff checklist. Distracting and not needed. I notice a lot of corporate guys seem to read aloud silent checklists for some reason.
I wanted to be a pilot but after learning how pilots work killed my dream. The price and the subjects student pilot need to learn killed me seconds time. They always talk to the tower, to other aircrafts non stop and have to memorize all these numbers they hear, no relax at all, watching their papers and documennts, fulfilli them omg Pilots, tell me please is it always so boring?
The title of your video is rather misleading and unprofessionally unsafe. You don’t fly through storms (assuming you mean convective storms) you circumnavigate storms.

Great to hear Mike’s voice!
It’s like flying with old friends when you both work together. Thanks for another great video!
Wait....Is that Mike? Excellent, nice to see you guys! Love it!
Good Work! Greetings from an old retired F900EX Captain from Germany 🇩🇪
Love Mike's calm voice must be great to fly with,
Good to hear Mike is flying with you.
It was great to hear & see Mike.
Hi Joel, he was always great to fly with.
Very great time flying with you. Thank you
Weather was less than ideal but it was great to see and hear Mike back with you.
Mike! Great to see/hear him.

Awesome pilot skills! Good job!
Thanks Mitch.
That aircraft is so cool! Smooth climb-out and sounds fairly quiet inside. Thanks Capt Moonbeam for the XLS video!!!
This is awesome, I can watch you two fly together all day!
Super fun to watch and especially with the picking through the weather and the night flying. Thanks
Thanks for the ride! Mike’s legendary voice was nice to hear again. Just two pros doing their thing…
Just stumbled upon this, and it's relaxing to listen to the coms, and look at the avionics. Thank you sharing.
Newbie to the excellent channel from Scotland UK. Look forward to more vids
I can feel the 'increased' level of interest when the flightdeck gets very quiet on the departure....thanks for sharing.
Wow it was s o good to see Mike again.yall make such a great team . I enjoyed it so much .
Very nice to hear Mikes voice again. You guys handled that flight like the pros you are.
Great video! Thanks and safe travels!
Thanks MonsterZ
Great vid from the Kodiak 100 pilot in Vancouver 🇨🇦👍
I just flew in and out of Elgin AFB on a commercial flight to visit family in the area. Nice to see it out of your cockpit windows again.😎👍
Great video, Jim! 👍
Beautiful flight!
Honeywell and Garmin... what an interesting combination. Really nice panel though. I'd fly it.

That was a cool flight! Good job, guys!
Who’s the rookie co-pilot? 😂. Legends in the cockpit. Lucky passengers
loved every minute, thanks for uploading
SO Sorry I took so long to start watching! GOOOOO Capt Moonboom! HOWDY Capt Mike!
Glad to see you again my friend
Great Flight 👍 Thanks
Thank you Capt. for the videos!! God Bless!
Thank you for sharing your trip. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Fly ssfe.😊
Mike had such a good voice he could have done background vocals on any tv science programs.
Great video! Just flew in there. Had a rough bit of wind on short final near the trees but was happy with landing. Also heard the viper call sign on your departure out of Destin.
Howdy Skipper! Long time… and great it is to hear Mike again.
Mike is fearless!
I miss hearing Mike as well flying with you. I have fly to Destin from Birmingham in a Citation 500 many years ago. I love the view on climb-out.
Great flight. True pros.
Nice flight...
I just got back from spending a week at Santa Rosa Beach......less high rises than Destin
MIKE at the Mic. Happy day!!
Very professional.

Just loved that!!!
Fun weather!
Now these are the guys you want as your pilots
I go to pensecola every summer so much closer for me than Sarasota wherei used to go. Destin is nice too
How crazy all that is, Commander!!!! 😮😮🦾🦾👨🏼✈👨🏼✈☝🏼☝🏼
Long busy day. I was glad when it was over.
@@captmoonbeam Thanks!!!! 👍🏼
Great flight. I seem to have missed your cancellation of IFR with approach
Excellent video enjoyed
Mikes back :)
Very nice😮
Transponder is transponding lol
Bird impact from the rear LOL
good flight
Thought you’d retired. Haven’t seen you for quite a while. Enjoyed the video. Some terrible weather to fly through.
Ah say, Ah say, now Ah say that thehh Destin controller sounds like a GOOD 'ol boy...cmon!! 🙌💯🤣
as usual great video hey have you ever seen the green flash
Why you when the takeoff ,don't put the autopilot immediately, and forget about ?
It’s always good to hand fly a bit to stay proficient…
I thought Mike had retired and was now doing voice over commercials for Prairie Home Companion.
Does the Citation not have another PTT switch that’s not on the yoke ?
I never used the yoke switch when the other pilot was hand flying
Eye spy something gray!
What type of job/business do you need to be in to have the funds for a citation, 2 pilots to fly you to the beach, then return home, then come back later to pick you up?
Flight controllers need lessons from John Houseman R.I.P. on diction and cadence! Or maybe just any British air controller from the WWII era?
After all that tilting, ranging and heading selecting you must be exhausted. Best wishes.
thanks
1:27 Any reason the yoke is always turned to the left when you are taxiing?
Easier to taxi into the wind.
Spirit - my old stompin grounds
watch out for thunder boomers
We never were in the Thunderstorms but we did get wet.
N9U? is that really the real call sign?
I swear watching these videos can get you through a breakup
Dancing girls!
Is this an old upload?
If you havent reached 20k feet altitude, then there is no gremlin on the wing!
Mike can narrate a historical documentary on the discovery channel with that voice 😅
I agree.
Question ? Why does your co pilot grab the stick once in a while ? Sort of looks like two guys driving
Making act take care of you-ok-whole bunch of IFR-more risk fellas-it’s your rear in the hammock-clear to destination-act did this-you guys should back off in this aggressive weather. -but you only have to have one bad day-but-you made it congrats
What causes those instruments on the panel to flicker.
The 3 displays that flicker in the videos are older CRT's with a refresh rate of about 60 hz (Like the old TV's) The Gopro's can't sync with this. But, as the light changes and the cameras adjust you do see some improvement as the light gets dimmer.
This flight happened atleast 2 years ago, no?
Sounds like they were a bit surprised to get 40,000
I would be nervous if my displays were glitching out. Lol
Did y'all ever wonder why you took off when you did?
You guys watch Hoover on Pilot Debrief? Keep up these decisions and you'll be on his channel after you crash.
These guys have more skill than you can comprehend, nothing wrong with any of the decisions they made. You do what YOU think is best at that given time.
P can't get me one of those high expensive sewer pipes
A very dangerous can of Sardines.
👍👍
I love these more "mature boys", maybe because I'm an old guy.
👋🏻KSRQ☀️🌴🇺🇸🛩️
😎🌴👍
Stupid comment why UPS worries about the ride. Would you fly around in turbulence if you didn’t have to.
Alotta talking on the takeoff checklist. Distracting and not needed. I notice a lot of corporate guys seem to read aloud silent checklists for some reason.
Still in the soup mid 20s
Never good weather to take off in...
Not sure why you continued to express your altitudes using the term "point" which is reserved for frequencies.
I wanted to be a pilot but after learning how pilots work killed my dream. The price and the subjects student pilot need to learn killed me seconds time.
