great job,i thumbed it! so why did you have to take the hub off to access the lower control ball main bolt/nut? i ve seen videos of work around to that w/o takin the hub off?
Do you know if this is the same procedure for a hybrid Camry? I just had a shop quote me $900 to change out both LCAs! They said the manual quoted a 6 hour job. I can’t believe it….i can do it myself in less than 6 hours. Shop said something about the hybrid system being a part of the cost but I’m scratching my head on that. It’s not even a factor for the right LCA. Left LCA looks like same deal with motor mount.

To prevent detaching the axel/knuckle, would it be possible to detach the ball joint from the old control arm (leaving ball joint attached to knuckle) before removing the arm, then remove the arm (without the ball joint), then finally remove ball joint from knuckle? Do the same backwards to install new arm; ball joint to knuckle first, then the control arm, then attach ball joint to control arm? Thanks again.
