Here in Brazil the deluxe edition costs R$700, with R$700 I can buy a brand new G502 Hero, a quality mechanical keyboard, Helldivers 2 and I would still have change for a beer for the weekend to play a good game with
Hell nah u lying 😂
I know man, the Elden Ring DLC is R$ 200, the same price I paid for the physical copy of the base game. Living here is becoming increasingly impossible (eu ia escrever tudo em português mas é bom educar a galera q em algumas partes do mundo é ainda pior do q eles acham)
@@jojocasimir1118 how do you know he's lying lol? Just calculate it yourself with currency calculator
Lol where i live, 130$ is the salary of a teacher 😅 and you wonder why privacy thrives in South Asia
@@jojocasimir1118No, he's not. You're just stupid, so... let me know if you need any help. Should I teach you basic math or how to use Google first?
Remember, don't Preorder
why would i preorder a game i dont want to own
NEVER preorder.
There, fixed it for ya, mostly for my own sake, but I expect some, if not most will agree...
Already preordered the biggest version!
Every time you say “don’t” do something to people in the internet they will do it just because you’re telling them to don’t do something. So just stop saying this shit
Too late😈
Season passes do not belong in $70 single player games
1000%
Disagree if it’s just dlc expansions that gets released after the games release as a pre order type bundle.
whole idea of season pass is dumb, you just buying a promise of DLC that is not even out yet.
Agreed, it is disgusting
They have been in single player games for well over 10 years at this point. I remember them for Mass Effect 2 and 3 for sure and no one was up in arms.
The ratio on the trailer is MASSIVE.
35k like & 135k dislikes.
Well deserved 💯
any it doesn't actually mean anything, sales will increase.
@@JoeyJohansenwe'll see how it goes lol.
@@JoeyJohansen So like suicide squad? 🤣 🤣 🤣
to be fair, a lot of cod games have dislike ratios like that and still print money, not saying it will be the same, just that youtube dislikes arent a great metric for a games success
Remember kids, NEVER buy an Ubisoft game at full price. You make them wait and then give them half.
Wait 1-2 month and it’s already on a deep discount. I learned my lesson with Mario rabbids spark of hope good game but if I’d known I’d get it cheaper than quickly I would have Waited
I mean, if the game is good, id pay full price, but especially with ubisoft games.. never preorder or buy at launch, wait for reviews😭
I'd rather not buy them at all, play good games instead.
@@feliperodrigues5437 well as I said, im gonna wait for the reviews and decide then. I really hope this ones gonna get good.. but we'll see
"an yoobysoft"
pre-ordering a ubisoft game for $130? I think I'll pass 💀
Yeah the fact that they're paywalling content when they're already charging $70 for the base game is insane. Even if I thought the game looked good, I still wouldn't pay for it based on that alone.
I hate that they did that too avatar frontiers of pandora Especially because the game literally needed more content. after the story it was basically a pretty but empty huge open world.
It’s kind of a misconception that most physical games now require you to download the game from the publisher’s servers, but most of the time that isn’t the case. Most games, the actual content is on the disc. It might just have a Day 1 patch that fixes some issues. There are some games like COD and Jedi Survivor that don’t follow this, but if you turn off your internet connection and pop most of your discs in, the full game will install properly
If it's crazy in the US imagine in countrys that pay a lot of taxes for international stuff. The minimum wage in Argentina is just US$196 at the current exchange rate. The Ultimate Edition of the game, with taxes cost more than US$210. Just the Standard Edition, wich is now $70 not $60 anymore, ends up costing more than the Ultimate Edition. Is just insane dude.
To be honest, i wouldn't care about the price if the game is good, but everything behind this game is just bad, starting with Ubisoft wanting you to get used to not owning your games, Single Player ONLINE ONLY, 3 days Early Access for a SINGLE PLAYER. And just a reminder, they just closed The Crew for ever and they're deleting the game from owner's libraries. I am a big fan of Tom Clancy games, at least i can play the single player stuff on most of them, but can you imagine someone taking your most precious single player game that yo buy away? Hell no, and this is going to happen if they don't remove the online only requirement from Star Wars Outlaws. Not only they're disrespecting theit costumers, their throwing away hours and years of Devs, artist, actors hardwork, i think they should be speaking about this too.
I always wanted Ubisoft to do a 180º turn and start making GAMES starting trends again and stop chasing the most shi--- trends alive, dude, they can't even copy the most successful battlepass on the planet wich is Fortnite. At this point, i think they never will.
i swear i can barely afford £20 games like helldivers with my pocket money spending over 100 on a game that u cant guarantee its quality its like buying a star citizen ship with 0 components and cant move around
It’ll be on sale in like two months lol. Don’t worry
I use Boomerang Rentals. Why I have a physical ps5. I have been using them since the 360 days. They are fantastic and saved me a fortune. They have different monthly plans and a free trial. I currently pay the £11pm one. You can also put it on holiday mode, setting how long you want to have a break for. Give it a try. They post you the game, when you want to return it, flip the paper slip round to freepost it back and seal it. Easy peasy.
Full price is for completed projects you can own. “Industry Standard” “just the way things are” just don’t buy the games, not just the fake physical copies, don’t buy them period.
This👆🏾
Arkham city also did unlock codes for suits if you bought other products. I was 10 years old buying a Nos energy drink for a Batman beyond suit lmao
I personally hope Ubisoft fails as a studio, I can't believe people still buying their games
I think it can be summed up as Franchise FOMO, especially with their licensed games
@@chriswihulu most of the problems we have these days in the gaming industry is their fault. Greedy corporates
@@Shisha_Gold all corporations are greedy to some extent, just look at Pocket Pair and Palworld. It's whether or not they have the talent and drive to make something, that can bring in existing and potential buyers with their product.

@TheHK_47 yeah right 😂
This is a 30-40$ game. I will enjoy Elden Ring DLC more
And I bet that ubisoft takes off star wars outlaw from all platforms in the 2030's and elden ring base game will be still downloadable and playable in 40 years! :D
It’s the pricing and no one really likes Star Wars or Ubisoft anymore

But after 4-5 years of it's release with 90% discount. With a fully patched game and all dlcs.
TBF, the price thing, for me, is not an issue....I have no intention of buying it.
For $40 extra, this mission would have to be one of the best missions ever.
Why do you think it will be a single mission for $40?? AC Valhalla's season pass also contains Wrath of the Druids and Siege of Paris on top of the Beowulf mission. The quality of Valhalla is another thing but the season pass still contains dozens of hours of new content and the Francia and Ireland quests are better than most of the base game IMO. It's just the clickbaiting media outlets with misleading wording. They want readers to think Ubisoft is so freaking greedy they want to sell you a single mission for 40 bucks.
@@valentinvas6454 I am not defending Ubisoft but yeah, people here definitely don't know shit about anything. They should complain more about live-service and the prices for cosmetics and such there, where you pay 10-40$ for a single goddamn skin.
For comparison, for $30 CDPR gave players a Witcher DLC that was almost as big as the base game.
Having platform exclusive quests is a super old practice funnily enough. I remember one of the classic Doom games, I think it was Ultimate Doom from 1995, had an exclusive sewer level if you played the XBOX version, which was a shame for players that didn't own it, it was a cool level.
I wonder if this isn’t a bunch of kids that like finally found video games and are old enough to look at buying them now and think this is new?
@@nibblitman I feel similarly about the whole situation with The Crew. When you buy digitally, since the dawn of time pretty much, you either know you're just purchasing access to a license for the game and NOT the game itself by reading the terms and conditions you supposedly read AND AGREE TO prior to the transaction or you know it from doing the most elementary of research on the matter. Not knowing it means never bothering to do either, which is ENTIRELY your fault as a customer and consumer. I don't like the practice either but it's not a scam, it's not illegal, it's nothing new and it's also nothing hidden, people are just ignorant and reactionary by choice.
Just wait it out Ubisoft always heavily discounts their games pretty quickly. We will get the biggest discount when it finally launches on Steam.
the last game i remember being able to play strait out the box was watch dogs and it came with 2 discs one for download and then one to actually play
Being unfair to ubisoft sounds fair to me . 😂
Asura's Wrath's ending was locked behind 2 paid DLC on ths PS3. They were both on the disc, btw.
Alot of games of have them on the disc but if you want patches/updates than you have to be online, after that you can play offline with the patches still in place.
Elden ring doesn't need a internet connection
Nope, but that's what happens when the company higher-ups are gamers and not suits.
Overlooked the "season pass" for a single player game lol
Thats been a thing forever. Every devs does this, even fromsoft. It’s a cheaper way to gain access to the expansions… Btw Season pass ≠ Battlepass. Seen a lot of people mix the two for whatever reason
@@MizzterFuYeah what he said. Season pass for single player games has been a thing for a LONG time. You get whatever DLCs that come out in the future, hence the pass.
@@MizzterFu I love this double standard. People ripped DD2 apart for a handful of small, ultimately pointless, ONE TIME PURCHASE DLCs in their “$70 story game,” and then Ubisoft comes out here and drops a star wars game that’s gonna have basically cut content sold back as day 1 DLC and now the narrative is “they all do that get over it.”
This is why the broader gaming community is a laughing stock. Stick to your guns. If you’re gonna crucify a niche RPG project developed by one of the smallest Dev teams capcoms ever put together for what amounts to being able to purchase the deluxe edition items piecemeal then give this game a free pass you’re a hypocrite.
@@fullmetal3233 wtf are you on about. The community’s double standards are against Ubi, ALWAYS. Look at FF Rebirth’s open world being universally praised for the same reasons Ubi gets COOKED, Prince of Persia got destroyed all the way up until reviews came out which critics said were great, even a possible GOTY contender and yet the community didn’t bother to give the game or Ubi its flower. Dark souls, Witcher 3, FF16, Shadow of Mordor/war, Nioh, Control, etc. all had season passes. Ffs Elden Ring is about to drop a $40 expansion, be real.
Plus you’re grouping me in a conversation where you have 0 idea what my take is 😂 and while DD2 mts come off the same way Time savers on an AC game do, i couldn’t give two fuck about it cuz they’re not needed in the slight on either game
@@fullmetal3233 Yeah there wasn't a mention if either or game is okay to have a $70 plus pass or not, or if it's a bad or good or not reasonable. Just stating that this game and really any other first player games getting ridiculed for having a season pass/dlc, doesn't make sense since its been a thing for awhile. Just simply stating that its already been a thing. Even in the video he points out other things that have been a thing, like the physical copies NOT being physical copies.
Isn't DD2 Dlc or purchase have to do with gameplay though? A fast travel mechanic you can earn later on but can buy it to skip the time waiting or something Haven't? Haven't played it yet but it looks good.
But the problem here is the INCREASE in price ranges for the levels of this game, almost 200$ is a bit ridiculous. But I see it this way these large companies over pricing games that don't deserve that price, I'm gonna wait until its on sale, a fraction of the price and play it then. Comparing this to DD2 issue, the difference is in the quality of the game. I'll probably get it soon when it has its first sale. But for a 70$ game to have micros just makes me think where assassins creed is at. I don't mind DLCs being 30-40 extra because its new stories, maps, quest lines, etc. Of course there are the other DLC content thats skins or cosmetics. Those micros don't completely make me want to stay away from DD2 but hearing if this game has it as well. Idk how this will play, or how single play or open world it is.
Of course they not gonna ship a physical version of the game in the physical copy of it! How would they pull off the "the crew" trick in the future? :D
In 10 years when their licenses ran out they just gonna pull the game from all platforms making it unplayable and they will not give you any option to download it! :D
I remember one of the Saints Row or GTA games (I can't remember which) had not only an additional mission, but an additional street on PS that Xbox didn't. I remember reading an article that said something like "take a look at this street in these screenshots, but because if you buy this on Xbox you won't get to drive down it". Sony paid for exclusivity for 5 years, if I recall.
Am I crazy ihave a day one 76 copy and it has a disk?
There’s a day 1 dlc too, correct?
Yeah I've noticed I play a lot of different games and it keeps me from completing all of them and I've been looking for a game to just dump hours into but it's hard when all your friends play different games
when did capcom do it?
They had that Beowulf thing in Valhalla 🤔
On of those “just don’t buy it” situations. If you think it is worth it, go for it. If you correctly identify it as not worth it, then don’t. It’s not really a scam. They are telling you what you are getting.
The fact that you need to spend 40 bucks extra to play the game THREE days early is a crime! Ubisoft will never get a single dollar from me again... ever!
The crazy thing to me is that Outlaws is charging $40 for a season pass for two dlc expansions after launch when Alan Wake 2 literally did the same thing with two dlc expansions after launch included in the deluxe edition for only $10-15 more. They didn't have to make it as expensive as they did they wanted to make it that expensive but they by no means had to. Sucks cuz I may have bought the game if not for this scummy practice. Also to anyone who says they made it so expensive because of the Star Wars IP remember that Jedi Fallen Order and Survivor were both $70 and had a deluxe edition for $80. They just are greedy and want to gouge their customers
I got a good laugh when I heard about the physical copies that just give you a code so you can download the game.
Sounds like a prank
This is going to end up with pirated versions being superior which is exactly what you don't want in the game dev world.
Yeah. Either buy half price in a year or download fit girl repack for free
Hate to be that guy but the pirated version is usually the better version. Having no drm just makes the game better.
Nearly my entire game collection can be played from the disc with no download or internet required. It's not common what Outlaws is doing, it's just very common misinformation to think that many physical games are doing it.
My copy of fallout 76 on PS4 had a actual disc.
Budget isn't everything, the talent can make a HUGE impact. Greedfall, which definitely is on my top ten of all time list, only cost 9 million to make and only 30 people! Money can solve a lot of things, but incompetence isn't one of them.
I've put a considerable amount of money into Gundam Battle Operation 2, a free-to-play game, because it has brought me so much joy, its kind of like tipping the developers. I love that game!
i dont think its just pricing but the pricing makes people less inclined to buy
0:25
That's just nonsense. The vast majority of physical games; can be installed off the disk and offline; hardly a 'standard'.
Secondly, just because other games have done it, doesn't make it right; this is not an argument; two wrongs don't make a right.
This is a completely unacceptable practice. When you buy the physical version imof a game that's what you should reasonably get, a game you can install PHYSICALLY.. This should go without saying..
Gah, I remember opening up 76 day 1. My face was tired.
The only issue I have with the pricing is the Jabba mission being locked behind the season pass. There should be an option to purchase it separately without spending money on future dlcs.
The internet connection required for install however I am fully against. Any singleplayer game should not need internet. It is bad for game preservation.
"There should be an option to purchase it separately" lol hows that even better? Youre still purchasing a fucking mission in a singleplayer game. You guys are something else man, y'all deserve that shit.
i dont want to play as manbearbig, biggest issue imo
Lmao I just gagged on my margarita
Great, not getting THAT comparisson out of my head anytime soon 🤣
@@lukestephenslivesounds extra zesty
If xbox, playstation, epic and whoever else buy exclusive missions then there will only be so many missions that anyone from any platform can relate to having played everyone else will feel they missed out
I like Star Wars, also they don’t come around often, so I will aways get the ultimate edition or the highest Tier edition for a game. Only for Star Wars though or if it’s a From Software game.
They eventually want to sell you a subscription for hib world whose levels and quests will be separate purchases.
They're just trying to get people to join Ubisoft Plus. And honestly, if you buy two Ubisoft standard edition games per year or one premium edition, at $20/month (incl. taxes) it's worth it even if you pay for all 12 months. Of course, if it only takes you a month or two to finish all the games in the catalogue you want to play, you can cancel until the next one comes out.
Theres LOADS of single player games that are on disk that DO NOT require the internet to play. FF, DD, Persona, SMT, mostly RPG's. They might not have the "day 1" patch but you can pop them in and play. Just buy those, when game companies loose money/sales, thatll make a difference.
It's a big misinformation piece spread from Twitter. You need to be online to download it but once it's installed you can play it offline. Too many people jumped on the article headlines and didn't actually learn what the content label says
Yongyea raised an interesting point on his video regarding The Crew which I thought was worth mentioning. I think part of the problem with games requiring an online connection to install runs the risk of having a similar issue in the license being revoked and the player essentially being robbed. I'm not saying that Ubisoft are the only company that do it and as you say, it's more of a common expectation but they've now opened the door to taking back the game you rightfully paid for. If they've done it once, what's to stop them from doing it again? I appreciate that The Crew is an older game and from what I understand, not hugely popular at this stage but the fact that they're stopping players from even accessing the campaign on the game is disgusting.
People watch that guy? Idk how you can keep your eyes open. He's the quartering but somehow drier.
Love this guy, I just hope this game tops red dead and Jedi series combined. I just hope it has good story a lot of stuff to do a lot of tough choices. You at least get to join up with the Empire and Republic as well as anything else. I wouldn’t mind seeing a little Jedi every once in a while. Overall, I kinda liked what I saw so far but they’re also as a subscription to where you don’t have to pay that much money. But I’m waiting for the people that are going to give it a chance. They deserve a chance to make a decent Star Wars game.
The fact that the $130 edition is ahead of the Stellar Blade standard edition in PS store pre orders is like an omen of the apocalypse
I hadn't played any games on PC for years back in the day so when i got back into it around 2012-ish i made the mistake of buying a hard disk for Skyrim assuming i could drop the disk into the tray and simply play the game. I was in for a bit of a surprise when i found out not only did a need a Steam account but also there was no game on the disk and i had to download the entire game.
The best part is that the game was already on sale on Steam for around 40% off so i paid extra money for a blank disk with the Skyrim logo on it.
I still have the disk, not for sentimental value of owning a blank disk for a game but rather i used the case it came in to lift up my PC's monitor up slightly.
It's a great daily reminder to never feel bad when a gaming company goes bankrupt because any company that treats paying customers like the gaming industry does without a doubt doesn't deserve any empathy.
Idk, I mean I get what you’re saying but sometimes the XP boost is me paying to skip the grind. I hate having my story interrupted because I now have to go kill 200 wolves in order to level up so I can play the next story section. I only play about 5-6 story based games like Assassins Creed or Spider-Man a year and it takes me multiple weeks to finish them because a lot of days I’m so tired when I get home from work I just go to sleep. I played AC Valhalla for 6 weeks and only got about halfway through and my total play time is 62 hrs. 62 hrs = 6 weeks of playing for me and that was during the holidays too.
In this case, it’s bad either way. If it is a big elaborate mission that was featured in the trailer and adds a lot to the experience, they are selling a $110 game and an incomplete version for $70.
If it’s a lame, nothing mission that you finish in 15 minutes like in AC- then they ripped off all the season pass or deluxe edition buyers for $40.
This is fundamentally different from a later paid DLC that has a lot of content and is basically an expansion: like Phantom Liberty for Cyberpunk or Burning Shores for Horizon.
In both those cases, I was happy to pay for additional content they put work into post-release - and in which I had a chance to establish whether I liked the original game (and so want to continue with more in this world). I could make an informed decision and they hadn’t nickel and dimed me in the base game.
And I don’t buy the “boohoo games are so expensive to make now” argument. The publically disclosed publisher financials show they have plenty of padding to make a healthy profit on a good title. It’s just that they don’t want to make money - they want to make *ALL* the money.
Dang remember when early access was given for pre orders?!? But not extra money
Ubisoft is giving people reasons to hate them daily at this point
If we all could collectively go back to reading books for two full years :')
Soulcaliber kinda did the console exclusive thing with characters. I do remember being a little annoyed as a kid
I checked my physical and it’s only western games that requires internet connection for single player games. So it tells you the different mentality between Japanese games western games
Just because something is the standard, doesn’t mean it’s right. If you can pirate this game you should because that’s the only way studios are going to listen to us.
Since they are trying to force me onto either EGS or Ubisoft stores I'll wait until it is on sale on Steam. I don't need the game that much.
I wonder what Baldur's Gate 3 cost to make. We know that Swen pays his devs well. They finished production and he didn't fire anyone. The studio went from 150-400 people yet I haven't heard about layoffs. Perhaps he did hire external contracting. There's no argument that BG3 is not a AAA game. We might be shocked at how much less it cost to make vs one of the other companies.
Devs have been doing this for a while. R* did it with the special edition of RDR2 with the extra bank robbery. It sucks, but it's not really new.
WE FINALLY GOT THE HOGWARTS LEGO CASTLE
The price doesn't matter to me, because I always wait until the price drops significantly, no matter the starting price. If it is more expensive, I wait longer. That is all.
About Hogwarts best quest being exclusive to Playstation: That is why I still did not buy that game on PC. I will get the game eventually, but it will be for a tenner or something close to that.
Honestly, I'm OK with playing the base game without the Jabba expansion DLC.
I have usually lost interest in most games by the time I've completed the main mission and a few side quests and I'm ready to play a new game, so just paying $70 and then moving on is fine with me.
Back when I bought my ps4, I purchased a hard copy of FFXV. I was dumbfounded that I had to do a download when I popped the disk into my Playstation. "What's the point of a disk? " I was pissed at the idea of not actually having the game in hand.
I'm a huge fan of AC but I would never pay modern ubisoft that much money, like 70 dollars is also too much
Always online for a single player game is my main issue. It means eventually they can just take it from me.
Here in Australia can only see (apparently) Ubisoft Uk (?) which means prices in GBP. Sooo with GBP to AUD exchange rates (roughly): Basic game GBP59.99/AUD116.21; Gold Edition GBP94.99/AUD184.01; Ultimate Edition GBP114.99/AUD222.75. That is definitely NOT happening! Pre-Order or any other time.
There's a difference in getting a day one update vs you need online to play the physical copy you baought. Take for example you can play cyberpunk on ps4 without the day one update.
That was what I always hated about trying to play anything on Xbox one, anytime I tried to play something even off disc there would always be some damn update that was needed and by the time it was done I really couldn’t be assed to play anymore.
Im tempted to preorder it anyway cuz im dumb but if i can just do ubisoft+ and get it ill drop the 15 and 100% the game in a week or 2
You don’t have to have an internet connection for PlayStation physical copies. The discs contain the data needed to install the game on PlayStation unlike Xbox.
Ubisoft has been so far out of touch for so long they probably still think this is completely acceptable.
The leadership (within the publisher, not the dev studios) needs to be ejected.
Regarding the physical copy with the activation key. Why are there cards/vouchers with credits for steam, netflix, spotify, game pass etc? It's basically the same thing, isn't? It could be a gift or a birthday present or something or, at very least, it may just stay on your shelf (which is an extra 'feature' compared to a netflix gift card :) ). After all, the main reason to purchase physical copy would be to stick it on your collector's shelf, not to have the physical disk. The fact they are still selling physical copies with keys inside means there is still some demand for it. Therefor, I wouldn't necessarily call it stupid.
That’s stupid
For people who doesn't want to leace their cc details all over the place. I guess buy a box with a code inside it make more sense. (and who want to have the box on their shelves).
Black Flag was the last preorder I followed through with as I began paying more attention to the industry.
Ubisoft has been putting out unfinished, buggy and sometimes downright unplayable games for nearly a decade and It’s a wonder how they’ve lasted this long given how many other studios have fallen in this timeline.
Granted, my tastes for games these days are limited to how much time I have. I await the trailers, gameplay and if by that point I haven’t come to a decision, the day 1/ first week provides all the deets I need.
Growing up, these big studios put out (what felt like) a fully complete game.
Stuff like GoW, Ratchet & Clank and even Halo (1,2,3/ODST/Reach) or Gears of War.
And for the last decade till now, studios have blatantly put out rubbish disguised as “new hotness” and it grinds my gears that these studios just brush it off like “we’ll have an update coming that’ll make it playable”.
For a single player, offline only, I need an update?
What, didn’t you finish making the product before you pushed it onto the stock shelves?
One other reason for the early access Starfield was the fact they intentionally released it just after Labor Day weekend. Whereas with the early access…
This is so sick. I'm not a huge Star Wars fan but I loved the recent Jedi games. But they're basically taking advantage of fans.. people that grew up on the movies and shit. They know they'll she'll out 120 bucks. So fuxked up.
Ubisoft is doing that to push their subscription.
Remember Azuras Wrath and the ending as dlc🤦♂️
The irony is the jabba mission is most likely just a repeat mission in a slightly different area lol ubisoft isnt exactly original with their mission types
I do understand "if you're paying the same amount you should get the same game" but then what is the point of different consoles?
For me these price tiers look as if they were just there to make Ubisoft+ looks like the best deal. And that is probably the thought behind all this anyway.... to sell abos....
For me it’s the internet connection requirement. The reason is so people buy the expensive version to play 3 days early. If you get the standard edition early than it’s useless
I can't speak for Xbox, but for Playstation you can install and play a phisical copy without internet connection. Yes, if there is a patch you would need internet to update, but you can play the game without updating. I know because my PS is offline all the time except for when I want to check if there are updates. So no, for installation of physical copies there has never been a need for internet, only for updates.
The game : woooow
from Ubisoft : nooooo
THERE IS NO WAY BETHESDA PUT A CARDBOARD DISK IN THE FALLOUT 76 CASE I'M DEAD 💀
That is the most ridiculous, yet funniest thing I've heard come out of BGS, and Starfield was a thing
I don't know what kind of games you play but I haven't bought a single game to date that required an internet connection to be playable. I've heard about games trying to pull shit like this but from my perspective this isn't standard at all. Requiring internet connection for optional day one patches and updates isn't the same thing.
😮 3:49 😂 ok so I’m buying only physical copies of games from now on!
Remember Ubisoft passport?
I'm picking It up because it's the one game I'm psyched For but understand why people are upset
I like what you said.
The statement that people buy the ultimate or deluxe editions to support games they like.
That's me to a T.
I love assassin's creed. I do support this. I did pre-order the ultimate edition of SWO.
I didn't do it to play it early or for additional quests. It's just what I do.
If the game looks outstanding to me, I just go all in. If I get screwed, lesson learned. That company will never see another dime from me.
Bethesda is one, I bought into the hype of Starfield and the game, for me, it was just terrible. Buggy, glitchy, just bad. I'll never support Bethesda again.
But for me, I like Ubisoft games, I will support them. Say what people will.
People will pay a price for what's important to them. To another it may not be worth a dime, to another, priceless. Depends on the person's likes or dislikes.
To me its worth the price, to another it's not.
But something that another may pay a price for, I may not, just not my gig.
Nothing wrong with their like, its just not mine.
So when we start bashing people for doing this or that, remember everyone's likes are different.
And what we see as gold may be worthless to another.
The last star wars game Jedi Survivor was buggy and unplayable for over a year after launch. People's expectations were already low even before pricing controversy 😬
That's a bit exaggerated
Just when Ubisoft could not get any lower
There's a couple things I see all the time that miss points completely.
1. Some people don't give a shit about owning a game. I still have every game I've ever purchased and I haven't touched any of them in over 10 years. I do not care, and very obviously, many people do not care if they won't be able to play the game forever.
2. You aren't buying games to own anymore. You can't say a company robbed you when they explicitly state you are paying for access to a game and not the game. If you don't like that DON'T BUY GAMES. As soon as you purchase one you're feeding into that system. Saying you don't like it is one thing, using inflammatory phrases and wording makes your argument seem emotional and no big company gives a shit about your emotions.
Either buy games or don't, but getting mad and saying hyperbolic things when you know exactly what you are paying for and supporting is stupid and hypocritical.
