Everything that has a crust or is pre-fried (eggrolls, shrimp, fried chicken, pot pies, etc.) turns out great in air-fryers 😋😍...I don't really even use my microwave oven for much of anything now. 🤪
Interesting...this is good for a quick snack I guess. I'm going to start trying some of these frozen foods in my air fryers. You're convincing me more and more. LOL!
I did one more experiment based on a couple of other 'hints' and it worked! Set the air fryer for 370^ and 35mins. Insert oiled crisping tray (if provided) into the AF pan. Put foil around the outside top crust. After preheating, put the pie in upside down. At the "turn" point (if your AF has that setting) or halfway, take the cardboard 'pan' off of the pie and spray the side/bottom crusts with any Pam-like spray oil and then continue baking. Use a flexible spatula to remove pie from AF.
Congratulations on reaching your preference. I also have a recipe for making your own chicken pot pie. ua-cam.com/video/ixJ50XvkJvU/v-deo.html Also a video about health: ua-cam.com/video/Y-hW0Z6hPWA/v-deo.html
Nice video and Showed me what I need to do for that Pot Pie I am about to make but for some reason I want to call Allstate and order insurance. You sound like Dennis Haysbert.
Just search chicken pot pie for air fryer. And yours came up, thank you. Eye'm actually cooking one now. For my son and eye. Thanks for sharing this video. Great help
He sounds like Dennis Dexter Haysbert from the Allstate insurance commercial. Lol. .....Are you in good hands? Lol! 🙌 The answer is yes because my pot pie turned out great! Lol
those pies come with pre cooked ingredients other then the dough so u really just need to make sure it's eatable temp and crust is cooked all the way ... 400 degree at max 15 380 is more like it for the 30 but if ur coing to cook for more then 15 might as well start the oven and cook 3 or 4
I cook all food fully, anyone who desires to trust "pre-cooked" may do so. Several pies can be cooked in the air fryer oven simultaneously, I have done it. There are many benefits to not using a conventional oven. ua-cam.com/video/AqeCW2oyxsk/v-deo.html
Cool thing I've learned when it comes to air frying foods instead of putting them in the oven. Transferring time and heat to the air fryer is whatever it says on the package, for heat in the oven, drop it 25 degrees for the air fryer, and for time, only do 80% of the time. I figured this out and it has worked for me 95 percent of the time. Lol good video 👍
You should try this chicken pot pie in the NuWave Bravo XL and try to set the broiler on a low heat setting and the bake on a higher setting while using the temperature probe that came with the NuWave. I haven't tried this yet but I'm thinking about sticking the probe from the side puncturing the container so that you are getting a accurate reading from the inside and not the heat from the heating element. You could also try laying a tin foil over the pot pie so that the heat will be evenly spread and it's not in direct line of the heating element.
UPDATE: Okay, I just tried it in my new NuWave Bravo XL using the temp probe and it came out almost perfect. I had set the Top/Bottom burners to 30%/100% respectively for about 20 minutes. I then inserted the temp probe into the pot pie since it was thawed and reset the Top/Bottom to 30%/100% respectively. Both times I had set the temp to 400°F and the probe temp to 168°F to leave room for error. I rather be safe than sorry! I will modify my approach next time until I feel that I've gotten it as close to perfect as I can.
I wish you would do this again and flip the pot pit out in a plate so we could see if the bottom crust is cooked and crispy brown too....this family hates a soggy bottom crust on pot pies so it would be nice to see who well that air fryer model cooks the bottom of the Marie Callender frozen pot pies.....
I was kind of messing with you. I have done these things in so many cookers. I know plenty that can, but the point was to offer s guide to people with this particular cooker. I prefer my favorite cooker, that does it via Combi-Cooking in just 12 minutes. ua-cam.com/video/2MjAsQuBr0s/v-deo.html Of course a microwave is fastest, but this gives the texture of an oven, with combined microwave cooking.
Actually, the microwave instructions on the box recommend 8-10 minutes... But if I wanted it microwave soggy I would do that 😂. Point here, is to have a _well baked chicken pot pie like from a conventional oven in less time than a conventional oven_ 😉 The _texture and flavor_ of a baked chicken pot pie can't be matched by a microwave. That's why they offer instructions for both. Also, this is to help folks who are in a position where their air fryer oven is their only cooker. Personally, I have a microwave, but it _never_ cooks my pot pies. My kids don't even use the microwave for that, they prefer the Primo too 🙂
@@WaveOvenRecipes my pot pies are not soggy. Crispy. I guess my microwave is a little more powerful. Lol. I may try it out in my power air fryer that kinda looks likes your nu wave. Take care

Especially with poultry, I don't trust anyone's claim of a precook. Also _read their instructions_ . Even they instruct to cook to 165° F. So they also state to cook it fully. Which means they assume no liability for any food poisoning if you don't.

I am aware of that. All the same, I recommend you view the playlist and learn why foil is not going to help. 1) NuWave warns not to use foil. 2) What if you invalidate your warranty, doing some the manufacturer said explicitly not to do? 3) It doesn't help and you don't need to use foil in every top heated cooker to prove the point.
OMG I just keep hearing ALLSTATE!
Found it! You're in good hands. lol.
I would cover the crust with foil to keep it from getting too brown.
Don't use foil. I did a lot of experiments with that before. It only causes delay.

That would melt into your food.
@@WaveOvenRecipes Let me revise that....parchment paper. I use it instead of foil and it works great.
Just do it like he does it with a shorter time so it doesn’t brown as much 💯 forget that other stuff
