Not try'n to tell you how to suck eggs but couple of tips when managing your rachet straps. • very important to ensure the handle is locked back in the closed position (and if your going to manipulate those pals manually then ensure, visually check they are seated evenly and properly) • a good idea to paint (fabric paint or marker pen) one side (usually the inside) of you straps .... helps you keep track of twists at a glance • arrange the slot at 90 degrees and close handle before you start .... that way when you thread the strap from the back side you just grab the tag, pull away from the ratchet and you are ready to tighten, no more threading required. • attach a foot long bungee cord (or what ever distance you like your last step to be from the rachet) to the ratchet so you can temporarily hook it over the last step when you first hang your ring of steps .... this should hold the strap and steps enough so you can have two free hands to silently operate ratchet.
Done. Appreciate the video, I have been looking at these steps. A lot of good info and ratchet strap technique that I will be taking with me, thank you.
When you are using the ring of steps, are you leaning or sitting or both ? If you do both, what percentage are you sitting and leaning. John Eberhart says if you have a 2 panel tree, saddle sitting is a lot more comfortable.
Kinda noisy but I guess you could wrap some hockey tape around them without losing too much traction. Different boots would probably help too. Thanks for sharing!
Great video you are absolute correct it is never to early wow that would be a great giveaway Love to win! the steps look really sturdy great design great demo great product thanks for sharing! Done
Just a heads up. There is a scammer that is posting to all of your recipients saying that they won a prize, and that they should text a certain number.
I tried subscribing to the other channel in the description but it kept giving me an error. If you could link it in the comments I'll try to subscribe again. Not sure if this giveaway is still going but if it is I would like to enter. If not, I enjoyed this video.
Done. I like the Apex steps a lot and would probably have ordered some, but their website doesn't make it easy to know what you're getting with each purchase. They need to be less wordy in the descriptions and tell us what we want/need to know.
And do all this with a pack on and 18’ high standing on a climbing stick latched to the tree by a linemans belt. Looks hard enough standing on flat ground.
@RedlineOutdoors I have a question were I hunt I have come across a bedding area that is in between a ag field with woods around it but they only bed there at night and I was thinking about putting a food plot and water hole there to get them to come in more often good idea or bad

For an offside shot you can put your right foot on your last step swing your left foot past the right to the closest step, rotate your hips and draw.
