Tethrd should hire you! Seriously that was the most descriptive saddle hunting demo I've ever seen! You really showed real good camera angles so we could see exactly what you meant! It felt like I was right there with ya.Great demonstration Catman!

Catman thanks for all that info! I appreciate you taking the time to put the links of your gear. Not only a time saver, but now I know I am looking to buy exactly what you had on your set up. This year will be my first year in a saddle so extremely informative. Keep up the great videos and good luck this fall!

Outstanding video! Concise explanation of just how simple the Tethrd system is and how easily, and quickly you can get into a tree. I have had my eye on them for a few months now. Just trying to convince "The Boss" to let me pull the trigger. If you hunt public land this system has to be a must have.

Great job ... I have one of the original TreeSaddle in the REAL tree camo ..never been used . I had several back surgeries before I got to try it . Have the two extra accessory bags too !
I have a friend that may be interested in buying it and your video will do a lot in answering his questions .
Mine has the green web strapping instead of the rope to the tree .
You make it look like just what I wanted it for , still hunting to fresh sign , climb ANY tree and kill em the first time setting up for em ..!
    Well done from Iowa .!

Good video! Nice tips with the additions you’ve done to the system. I just wanted to say for people who don’t already know this, Dyneema is what you’re bow strings made from as well so it’s definitely strong stuff. Also the sticky sided felt I use liberally lol. I’ve actually quieted my bow down so much with it, I don’t need limb dampeners or riser dampening. Put a few strips under the backside of your limbs and try it. I just bought a crossbow with a loud trigger assembly. Again small strips of that felt on the outside of the stock and a piece inside each side of the trigger opening and the bow is already about 50-75% quieter already. The stuff works great, thanks for bringing that up for people that didn’t know. Btw I’ll be stealing 90% of your ideas so if you have any parcels you’d like to reveal to me, I could be right at 100% guilty of theft. Lol awesome video man!

I get that you’re not a pro videographer nor a professional hired spokesperson, and that’s what makes this demo so freaking GREAT!
I’ve been looking into saddle hunting pretty hard for the last month and a saddle is the only mode that will get me where the deer are on the land I’m try to hunt. You’re demo is the push I needed. No one else has simulated a fall like you did. Love it.
    Keep the post coming.
    Thanks

Almost all treestand accidents happen because of the platform, and the same applies here - make sure and place your Tether on before stepping on the platform. Thankfully you have the lineman’s belt, but man it would hurt if that platform failed, and they do fail. Love the videos man!

Excellent video. I must say, at first, I thought....oh boy another hunting saddle video. You're concise and to the point explanation was outstanding. Well done!!! Great ideas on your gear modifications as well. Only have one issue, maybe a tall skinny guy like yourself can look like another limb on the tree. Us, more stout folks, not so much. Keep up the good work.

Damn, you Young uns today got all the cool stuff! One of those would have been a life saver, when I hunted so much. I could hike that rig in every where! Sure would beat hiking into Tellico and Prentice Cooper WMAs with my old Baker Platform Stand 😁 That was a struggle. Now that I think about it, My Summitt Climber made me FAT! I was a bulked up STUD using that Baker😎. Eh,probably a good thing...I got married around the Summitt Years...sooo🤣🤦‍♂️ Catman got his Party Swing(not one purchased from Adam & Eve😜) , Little Debbies and Gatorade....Now its a PARTAY Bring on the White Tails...every night is Ladies Night 😍 Good luck this season,Buddy

I just got my Cruzr XC yesterday and love it except the lineman rope and tether came with Prusik knots and always hated them. I bet more people fall due to messing around with a cumbersome Prusik knot, not that you're going to fall out of the tree but a hazard IMO. I ordered the Ropeman 2 for my lineman rope and using some of my tree climbing gear (eye to eye cord for a VT hitch and one of my micro bullies to tend it), the VT (knot) hitch is like butter to move.
