Don’t use the ratchet as a step, you’ll bend the handle and the guts will fall out

I just started using this as my platform this season and I do like it. I put grip tape on mine were very slick with my hunting boots that did the trick.

I have the original s n love them, imho I position the ratchet where I am pulling not pushing so I use my body to apply extra force to tighten it. Also keep it lube n ratchet nice and slow, hardly any sound is heard. Loved mine from day one… great video

Great review, I have the same setup with the hawk and tethrd platform, and it is noisy. I think I’m switching to all bullman outdoor for the weight and quiet. Plus the hawk sticks are heavy and bulky. Great video.

Thanks you for the kind words. I can say this. I have several hunts in the ring of steps at this point and I notice I wiggle in the tree less. I can still move around some and getting to the harder off side shots should realistically be easier. I still find myself setting up in areas with lots of cover on my offiside. So I can’t say for certain other than you can mover around the tree much easier. Had a small but k chasing a doe right less than 6 yards from me. Even at full draw they never seen me. So I am hopeful. I let them pass but if just shows how silent this set up can be with the ring of steps over the platform. Thanks again and good luck this season my friend.

Love it! Thanks for the kind words, glad you are liking the steps! Thats exactly what those pockets were designed for also :) You may want to look at the Platform steps for climbing as well. No creak there either ;) Good luck to you and God Bless!

Thank you for taking the time to watch kind sir. I love my ring of steps, I am in the process of saving up for the full step kit, I actually took two of the steps off the ring of steps and am using them for additional height now as well, This is a very silent way to get up and stay in the tree. Thanks again for making a great product and I hope you and your family have a blessed and productive season.
      Have a blessed week.

Great video, Heartland Makes & Outdoors. Looking forward to seeing your next upload from you. I smashed the thumbs up button on your content. Keep up the fantastic work! Your insights on the weight differences and noise reduction with the Bowman Outdoors steps are incredibly helpful. How do you think these improvements will impact your overall hunting success this season?

Thank you so much for the kind words my friend. Success is often measured differently with age. To me a safe hunt is successful anymore. Hahha.
In short I think the ring of steps will be more quiet in the tree. My platform creaks and pops from time to time. Doctor said I weighed 205 the other day so I know I could loose some weight that might help. Hahah. In short I think it will be easier to move around the tree and be quiet doing so. Opening day of bow season here is Saturday morning so I will do an update on a mostly all day hunt with them next week. I do think being lighter will also benefit me on public land. Most of my hike are 1/2 mile to mile and half in. Again thanks for the kind words thumbs up as well. Keep us posted in your hunts and good luck my friend. May we meet up in the woods one day.
      Have a blessed week.
      Dale.
