Like the new improvements, but one thing I did hear in a couple different videos is a squeak from a rubber boot sliding across the platform which could be alleviated by having traction nubs on the top of the platform. LOVE the fact that it’s a soft platform because my feet get sore when hunting season starts. When traction nubs on the top of the platform come with the the newly designed V4, then I will purchase this product 👍
Seems like a waste of money. The point is a small minimalist system. Using 3 defeats that purpose. Plus that would be over $450. Better platforms out there for that money.
I tested this platform as well and liked it a lot. I added a squirrel step on each side of the platform and found it perfect for my saddle-hunting needs. I feel the guys at Pursuit came up with not only a great design but also cutting-edge technology to make the platform from a space-age polymer. Its lightweight grips the tree like a vice, and it's easy to deploy and remove. Add a few steps, and you have a versatile system for all-day comfort.👍
You could also use a ratchet strap for both the platform and ROS. The weight and bulk of another strap with OCB for the ROS may offset the weight and bulk of a ratchet buckle a bit.
This looks interesting. My initial feedback is that I would have liked to have seen a sleeve or track for the strap to go through when feeding through the platform. Seems like it would help manage the platform before it is taught, as well as allow the hunter to hold the platform by the strap without it slipping off, assuming the track/sleeve wasn't super loose.
I run a ROS with my platform, and it is a pain to to seat the steps with an OCB. My plan was to buy this platform and use a ratchet strap. They are sold out though. Pursuit was teasing a larger version. I may just wait for that. As for longevity. Plastics with the right compounds can last a surprising long time.
Thx for the feedback and for stopping in! If you ran a ratchet strap and the platform that would take the problems away I describe when talking about using this with a ring of steps. Also, consider using discount code, Platinum23 if you do end up purchasing something. Just helps my channel. Awesome. Good luck!
I think it depends on the plastic. Not all plastics are created equal. I think the speculation is justified, but I’m not sure correct. This fiberglass reinforced plastic has flex to it. If it can take a besting with me jumping on it and has a 400lbs load rating… I’m not sure it will be affected. BUT I will be the first to let you know if that’s wrong LOL.
I’m very intrigued. I do know that when they first launched, they were garbage, just as you alluded to in the video. There are a number of things I like: Price point Weight rating (400lbs) Overall weight of the platform Some concerns would be noise in extreme cold temps and how would the cold affect durability. Not a huge fan of the cam over buckle but with no versa button you’re pretty much stuck with it. I’m actually entertaining using these as presets. In that case I would just use a ratchet strap for added security. Excellent video, always enjoy your content!
Those are all good points. The price point I think makes it one of those items that if you buy it and eventually are not happy with it, you could always sell it and recoup maybe half of your money and be OK.
Please consider using discount code Platinum23 if you are going to purchase this. It’s a little gesture that helps my channel, thx!
Love your videos! You got a subscriber
Thx for the kindness!
Always excellent work- thanks a bunch!
Thx for stopping in!
$150 is wild

Get 3 platforms and a ratchet strap, is what I might try
Let me know how it works.

I am CLOSE to buying... I can't wait to see what V3 is!! All this competition and innovation is great for the consumers.
Nice! Keep me posted in consider using the code.
Great review ! Glad they fixed the flex problem that thing would work great for my srt setups !
Hey thx for stopping in. Glad they fixed it also.
Hey brother, no joy out here in Ohio yet….but I just purchased this platform on your review!
👍🏻
Nice man!! Hopefully you used the code 😄
Good to know.. gave my son V1 he's around 160 and seems to like it.. I'm still on fence to get V2..
If there’s anything I can help you with let me know.

True. I think it would hold better with a ratchet strap for sure.
That’s a really cool design! I am currently in shop class i think I’ll try to make me and my dad a set from steel.
Sweet!

This is some good feedback I am going to pass on!
Looks slick!
They should use a different material and it would be awesome like carbon fiber super strong and add aluminum teeth
@@andrewanderson6683 good thought

i think for 100 somethjbg bucks it’s worth trying out
Yeah you could always sell and recoup some money.
What about using a ring of steps with a single ratchet strap & this platform? Will cranking a ratchet strap too tight compromise it.
I don’t think if would compromise it. You could always reach out to them and confirm. I have jumped on mine.
If they were still $100 I’d pick one up .
I understand. Good luck to you this year.
Same, at $150 im just on the fence man
Agree, it is definitely over priced at $150. I want one but, won't pay that price. I'd pay$100.
Cold temperatures 30 degrees and lower seems then plastic get brittle and noisy rubbing against the tree 👍✌🏻🇺🇸

They should replace all the gen Is. I bought one and was not impressed at all.
If you are having problems with yours flexing… then reach out to them and they will replace it.

Agreed. That’s the good part about saddle hunting gear resale value. As far as presets, I don’t know that there’s a cheaper platform out there.
True!
