Thank you so much for making this video. I've always had trouble with my bench grinder and send things flying all the time! never thought of locking pliers.

Grinders typically do around 3000 rpm. Wheel limits are often around 5000 rpm or 35 m/s rim speed.
Can't imagine 12k rpm on a bench grinder ! :D

you dont put the gaurd down foe eyes?
What are you're thoughts on reversing the direction of disc spin for knife blade sharpening?
Not advisable. The wheel may come off if reversed. RH wheel has RH thread. LH wheel a LH thread.
thanks i was thinking about getting one dont wear gloves on the wire wheel they can get snagged and destroy your hands
Ah it’s the wire wheel specifically. I thought the gloveless rule was for the entire machine but I misunderstood ty
