- The horn of Helm Hammerhand shall sound in the deep one last time. Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), Legolas (Orlando Bloom) and King Theoden of Rohan ride out to defend Helm's Deep and fend off the Orcs.
About The Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers:
In the part second of the Tolkien trilogy, Frodo Baggins and the other members of the Fellowship continue on their sacred quest to destroy the One Ring--but on separate paths. Their destinies lie at two towers--Orthanc Tower in Isengard, where the corrupt wizard Saruman awaits, and Sauron's fortress at Barad-dur, deep within the dark lands of Mordor.

- Theoden King stands alone...
- Not alone; Rohirrim... to the King!
Even after so many years, I get goosebumps...
Now for wrath, now for ruin, and the red dawn!!
Best scene in the movie!
@@starpunzel Not in the same movie, but I agree. Theoden's speech and the charge of the Rohirrim at the Pelennor Fields is the best scene of the last movie of the trilogy. DEATH!!! DEAATH!!! DEAAATH!!!
@@kourtourafi when I go out to cut the grass I tell my husband, "Fell weeds awake. Now for wrath, now for ruin, and a mowed lawn!
Agree - I should have said *one of the best*. There are so many!
@@starpunzel 😀😀...
Me too. Every single time.
The look on Theoden’s face when Eomer comes is absolutely priceless. It’s the face of him saying quietly “I knew you would come!”
RIP THEODEN KING! You sit in the halls of your fathers with honour...
Still amazes me how they managed to get Théodens massive steel balls in the saddle.
The shot from 8:05 - 8:15, when they ride out like 8 horsemen with nothing to lose, as their one last "deed", setting all fear aside and facing the enemy with no fear, especially with that epic Rohan music in the background always brings an uncontrollable smile to my face. It's corny as hell, but these movies did those type of moments where the characters display their courage so authentic and inspiring, they always help me feel motivated if I'm feeling down from life. With other movies I may sometimes feel the need to throw a cynic comment or roll my eyes, or just be indifferent, but with these 3 films, it always makes me feel something. This trilogy is 10/10, all three of the films are 10/10.
Agreed, brother. The best trilogy ever made. Nothing else comes even close.
Beautiful words. Whenever all hope seems lost. Remember the deeds of Aragorn..
"Don't tell the elf..." always gets me!!! XD
Not a word
I remember being like 10 or 11 years old when this one came out. It was always around Christmas and my whole family (like 25 of us) would go see it. Right after it started I started feeling like shit. I had a really bad fever and was hallucinating and everything. It was bad. I was trying to suck it up because I wanted to see it so bad but I couldn’t do it. My grandpa was sitting next to me. The best man I’d ever know and he noticed that something was wrong and he scooped me up and took me to the doctor. It’s a good memory with him, besides being the sickest I’ve ever been up till now. lol. A week or so later he took me to see it again so I could actually watch it.
grandpa is a good man, bless him
Fell Deeds Awake.
Now For Wrath!
Now For Ruin!
AND THE RED DAWN!
FORTH EORLINGAS!
@@Bullet-Tooth-Tony- SOYUZ NI RUSHIMI, RESPIBLIK SVOBODNI,
These movies have aged wonderfully 😊
I challenge you to a duel.
like fine wine
Just like Elfs, these trilogy will remain untoched by time as the world around them is mered by the bane of Morgoth.
Yes they have
Nah, lotr cant hold a candle to avengers endgame and game of thrones final season war. Now those two are peak.
"The Horn of HELM HAMMERHAND shall sound in the deep one last time!"
I think of that character all the time. If only he was still alive during this event.
YES!- Gimli…. He was so intense with that 😂
Gimli just wanted to rack up his kill count by giving the Uruk Hai heart attacks and it didn’t count as one 😂😂😂
I love alliteration 😭
God damn. Eomer comes up behind Gandalf and says not alone always brings me to tears
Sad death of the elf friend… the last thing he sees is his fallen elf comrades, and his last thought is “this is the end of my people” :(
Not only is the costume design and prop superb, the detail in the sound effect cements that belief of it being real.
RIP Bernard Hill
Arguably the greatest trilogy of all time. I was lucky to see it in IMAX 4K when it was re-released
No, definitively
Nope. MCU trilogy. The numbers speak for themselves.
@@jigeah you really believe that..?
@@jigeah what numbers? Box office numbers?
Tell me, how many Oscar’s has the MCU won over the course of 25-30 movies? Compare that to 14 Oscar’s to the LOTR trilogy
@@jigeahHow many Oscar MCU trilogy have?
Gimli heard the horn must be blown and was absolutely on board with it
He knew those music lessons would pay off someday!
Strongest lungs in middle earth
I suspend all my disbelief because this is the most epic thing ever.
One of the craziest things about medieval battles is the reinforcements would ride /march for days non stop exhausting themselves just to REACH the battlefield AND THEN the FIGHT would ensue , how badass is that to give everything you’ve got just to reach the battlefield then The hard part starts while your exhausted, but somehow still find the energy to fight on 🫡💪 our ancient ancestors were some mf beasts
So true one of napoleon's famous battles were won because reinforcements forced marched and fought turning the tide.
Same at gettysburg a corps forced Marched and wre exhausted but held the better ground which ultimately won the battle.
Many examples the more you look.
Love how the king says his name with such love and admiration. Like a son and a brother .
Rohirrim! To the King! That war cry send chills...
Peter Jackson knows how to make an epic trilogy.
I mean, couldnt have most perfect source material to work with. Tolkien is a master storyteller
Haldir's death scene is so sad😥
dawg he looked like he died thinking his efforts were all in vain
Every time I watch it I keep screaming at him to be careful.
When the sun crests the hill that always gets me.
I love gimlis reaction to a swarm of orks and says he can easily take them no doubt bro, but he knew the cost of getting there 😂, "not the beard!" 😂
Bernard Hill IS King Theoden. No other actor could have played him as well.
When it comes to epic Fantasy and Sci-fi, Harry Potter and Star Wars are all cool and good and everything, but Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings and Denis Villeneuve’s Dune will forever be the GOATs
Watching two great kings charge out together and mow down their foes is a beautiful thing. I say now, as a former military officer, that "Forth Eorlingas" should be the official battle cry of all U S. and allied troops forever ❤️❤️
Yes, please.
And one gives speeches that make sense😁
Ни Роханцы ни кто либо из других положительных героев не убивали мирных людей как это делаете вы американцы
@@audiiska9252 so what did you guys do to the chechnyans?
@@audiiska9252 are you saying that every American is a murderer?
8:40 OMG Billy Butcher
6:19 Evil never ever had a chance.
Yes, for "in the end the shadow is nothing more than apassing thing, with Light and High Beauty ever beyond it." 🙂
This scene was a goosebumps moment when I was a kid and stand still!
5:25 like nice try, but get absolutely wrecked
7:11 Theoden's words have an additional impact when you remember that he idolized Aragorn during his childhood, the hero who rode at the side of his father against the hordes. Now, it's his turn, to draw sword alongside one of his childhood legends and ride out with him at his side.
Theodon was a true king. Leading by example, always in the front line leading the charge
No matter how many times I watch the same scene, it doesn't drive me fed up of it. Love forever LOTR❤❤
Hobbit and LOTR have been done so MASTERFULLY that it will and SHOULD be a crime to remake them EVER. Peter Jackson truly a master of his field!
The greatest scene in the history of cinema ever....
Helmeted Dredd apears on his trusty steed/lawmaster
"The crime: being ugly.... the sentence: death."
Shortly after this clip, the Ents finished them off as they retreated into the forest
2:06 Why did this not make the theatrical cut !? I have seen this movie a million times and never saw theoden chop off the uruk's arm
Of course, since this film was made, paleontologists have discovered that most elves had feathers.
9:53 of content that easily trumps rings of power
It's one of the all-time great movie scenes.
Fucking hell when Gandalf shows up !!!! bring back those good old days😔
4:35 that still only counts as one!
Only two things needed to win this battle, a longer bridge to the keep, and ride down it periodically with cavalry, I reckon 20-30 times and you can easily win.
or a simple drawbridge
Scenes like this never fail to make me cry.
Gimli is an absolute unit of a dwarf.
There will never be movies with such great scenes again. Hollyweird
Proud to say, I caught this in the theater !!!
So happy I got to experience this in the Cinema
i like how Aragon was the last of the soldiers to make it back to the castle
So sad about the elf’s death!😪
i would also raise my hand and shout “to the king” every time i watch this scene..
Anybody else bothered by the fact that Aragorn jumped off a siege ladder INSIDE the walls? Positioned directly next to a staircase too. Still a great moment. But what is that thing doing there? Lol
Greatest trilogy ever
After 20 years i can say i look as the new Aragorn
4:34 KOWABUNGA! I swear to god an uruk-kai says that as the third ladder falls.
I heard "Ian fuck you! Kawabunga!"
Still get goosebumps in some of those awesome fighting scenes..just continues to be brilliant.
I love how Gimly goes from having no problem facing off against the entire Uruk army, to being defeated by a jump....
“THE HORN OF HELM HAMMERHAND SHALL SOUND IN THE DEEP ONE LAST TIME”
RIP Bernard Hll 🫡 😢
Watching legolas carry gimli away is always funny
Amazon fell so short against these masterpieces
My boy haldir needs the love he deserves
Man this still gives me chills. And it's 2024!
Greatest Movie Series of all time! Memories of my teen years! I love LOTR movies and the Hobbit series, much loved are th books! Hope they could all put the story into a movie.
Gandalf is my Fav Character amongst a heartfelt plethora .
9:22 is an epic moment with the music.
The only thing i find unbelievable is how they managed to hold the stronghold from midnight till morning considering how quickly they were overrun.
Go forth eorlingas!! Damn! That epic 😎
This scene will be the last bastion of "adapting to modern audiences". This will be it and they will come and try to take it. Better believe that. They will come and they will try to rewrite it.
Considering Gimli isn't an archer and also stayed behind to blow the horn, he must be insane in close combat to beat legolas
Ten of the best minutes in movie history.
Theoden is a G, mans got stabbed with a spear, grabbed another spear, and slayed the opp.
My favourite battle of LOTR.
One of the hardest fights on Xbox original.
One of the best mod in WC3
Ahhhhhh! The horn casting howl was great
Head on charge into a wall of pikes 💀
Well they have sunlight buff
That maneuver was made many, many times, since men had pikes, and horses. It was used too when men had cannons. It was trenches and machine guns what ended cavalry charges.
@@MariaMartinez-researcher Direct cavalry charge into a formation of pikes would have gone terribly because a) horses are living beings who aren't too keen on running full speed into a wall of spiky things. b) the spiky things would kill the front line of completely unarmoured horses. c) the resulting pile of dead horses, fleeing horses and dismounted riders would stop or trip the horses behind them and cause chaos.
I love the scene as much as the next guy but definitely some inaccuracies here with the use of cavalry. Personally I do get a bit sick of the classic Hollywood light cavalry charge into heavy infantry to save the day cliche.
@@MariaMartinez-researcher heavy cavalry maybe but normally light cavalry would be used to outflank armies and charge into the back or sides of armies
Now thats how Luke should have gone out. Thats how you do a last stand. Not hiding and waiting to die. But in the thick of it. Fighting and dying with all your fellow soldiers. Being the hope that they don’t have
The time is soon upon us. The anual re-watching of each LOTR extended addition. This is a sign of its' coming, on the light of the 5th day.
Gimli is brave, to allow himself to be tossed headfirst into an army of uruk hai.
Aragorn is braver, to jump into a place where gimli is already fighting.
Magneto did a good job!
to the gate draw ur swords . me tryna find a pen n paper
My fave trilogy movie.
Rip King Theoden
This is the original version of "on your left."
A cena mais linda, que já vi em um filme! Rohirim.
Long they called him
But he would not come
For he was Shadowfax
Lord of all horses
And he answered to only one
*Rohirrim Uses Charge Attack*
Environmental Bonus DMG +100
Speed Increase DMG+100
*Gandalf Uses Punctual Timing*
Gandalf Blinded Enemy With Intense Light
Enemy Def - 1000
Critical Hit X 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
It was super effective
is it different in the books with the gate falling? So Aragon and Gimli save the gate so they can reinforce it. But pretty much instantly the gate falls after they leave
In the books the Uruk hai use bombs to open it up, and that was when Theoden led the charge.
Rings of Power wishes they could recreate this
if an angel sent from god asked of me to charge down a steep incline into enemy pikes, I hope I would as portrayed here, i first saw this movie on vhs tape at my neighbors around 2006 and I still get chills to this day, im 30 now lol
Noble White Men of the West ✊🏻
They left Gimli at the horn tower. Lol.
Sadly, we can't have this anymore in movies. They will have to be led out by a girl boss queen lol
This scene with Aragon and Gimli is strange that they didn't bring ten to twenty soldiers with.
To the king
Rest well Theoden the renowned
i never noticed this before but at 4:33, the uruk-hai notice the rope's snapped and actually begin frantically communicating with each other. knowing this movie they were probably speaking in actual Black Speech. i wonder what they actually said.
It sounds like they said 'mother fucker' lol
Im not crying, youre crying 😭
horses have some insane plot armour, the story holds up but scenes where aragorn stops mid battle surrounded by orcs just to go "gandalf" i mean come on, ive seen plenty movies do the same and get slack for it.
