    Replaced mine on 2011, it did help although on this model the location and types of clips and screws were a little different. Thanks for posting it in detail.

    I just saw other videos where they did not have to remove the back bumper... just wondering why you needed to remove that .. great video

    • @TobiasHolenstein
      @TobiasHolenstein  Рік тому +1

      Yeah, after I made this video a friend of mine told me I could have just loosened that side of the bumper instead of completely dropping it. Pretty much there is a clip on the bottom of the tail light that kind of fits into the bumper, so that's why you need to either remove it or loosen it

    Great Video. Thank you. There are a number of variations with Camrys. Mine is a hybrid. The tail light assembly comes with the black clip on the bottom (which you pointed to) and you definitely have to remove the bumper because the black clip will not detach (without a great deal of force) from the light assembly as happens with other models. Next, there is a white bulb connector that you have to disconnect. You do this by inserting a small flat edge screwdriver into the connector on the wall side of the tail light. This is inconvenient because you can't see how the connector disengages and comes apart.

    Thanks bro got all the calls out I couldn't figure out why I wasn't coming out then you mentioned how you had to take the bumper off

    On my 2011 Camry LE, the 2 clips inside the trunk (on the left and right) didn't have a Phillips screw, instead they have a center push button. Push it in and pull the clip out. I also got hung up on the bolt that is covered by the wire harness 🙄 (was wondering why the light wouldn't come out!). The screws in the wheel well are kind of difficult to line up. Some screws for me also didn't seem to get tight even though they seemed fully screwed in. Anyway, I think it came out great, thanks for the helpful video!

    Were all bolts able to be removed using only the 10mm socket wrench?

    When I took out the tail light there was no black clip so I don't need to remove the clip. A lot easier and no damage to bumper. Only my case?

    Great vid, I couldn't find the one in the wheel wheel weld so I can to YT. Just wanted to mention that you don't need to drop the entire bumper of you are only replacing one side. If mentioned in the vid please disregard, once I found that upper wheel bolt I was gtg.

    • @TobiasHolenstein
      @TobiasHolenstein  3 роки тому +1

      Oh yeah one of my friends was telling me the same thing. Like you can just bend it enough to get the clip out right?

    • @eriktyson7696
      @eriktyson7696 3 роки тому

      @@TobiasHolenstein Correct, the left side drop down plenty enough for me to replace it. Still a good vid for those that might need to do both. I remember you mentioned some bumper damage. So I thought you might have taken it off to replace or paint.

      Oh thank god you don’t need to remove the bumper. I got a used camry and the guy who had it repaired riveted the bumper to the car.

    You never followed up with the black clip that the top edge of bumper guides into.

    • @TobiasHolenstein
      @TobiasHolenstein  2 роки тому

      Probably about an hour, but if I wasn't also recording the video I think I could have done it much quicker. Like maybe 30 mins. Some people have also told me that I could have saved some time by only loosening the bumper instead of removing the whole thing

  • @comprometidosconlaverdad1670

    thank you but i dont think you need to rmove the bumpert

      It is too trouble to remove the bumper. I just loose 3x screws , broken the old tail lamp casing, replaced the new casing but without the clip.

      A couple people have told me that they just loosened the bumper and didn't completely remove it. Maybe that's what they did in the video you saw
