I remember playing “Borderline” for the first time and thought that Rodolfo was gonna die in the house fire at the end of that mission, but nope, Alejandro comes in and rescues him! Just shows how dedicated Vargas is to his men.
Rodolfo surviving the campaign was also a huge expectation subversion for me. Usually characters you control for only one mission die at the end of said mission. Like Harkov from MW3, Novak from Vanguard, or even Dipaolo from MW2 2022.
Just a few detail about the history Las Almas Cartel: The La Araña Cartel (Spider Cartel) was the biggest cartel in Las Almas when Vargas joined the Mexican SF. The leader of the La Araña Cartel at the time was the son of La Araña. Mexican SF launched a raid against the son of La Araña to arrest him, RED team (Valeria's unit) have gone rogue and executed him. After she created a power vacuum, Valeria created the Las Almas Cartel.
I would love to see a dlc on Alejandro early days in the military. As an additional fact, idk if it's only me. But the raid to el son of " La Araña " that Alejandro mentions seems to be a reference to " El Culiacanazo " A failed attempt of the mexican government to capture one of Chapo's son but the cartel send around 700 hitmen. The army tried to close the city but same as in the game the target managed to get away.
It's not really similar, overall I would say that the story of the La Araña Cartel and the Las Almas Cartel is more influenced by the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas than anything.
NO ONE ever mentions how in the scene where graves takes over Alejandro compound, he always keeps an eye out for ghost... Even though soap and Alejandro are in front of him, he knows ghost is the one to worry about
Absolutely love Vargas, the whole stand off scene where they capture Vargas and split Ghost and Soap is a masterpiece from tone, the “ally” voice coloring changing red to denote the betrayal, to the voice acting 👍👍
I feel like the accent is not well, I from a Mexican nationality could tell the actor was not mexican because of the accent. I later researched and found he is from cuban descent which explains that accent he has. I feel like they should of got a mexican voice actor if they were choosing to do a game that is partly in Mexico. I don't think the actor did bad, I think Vargas is a great character and the story but it just bothers me for some reason that I know he isn't really mexican because of his accent.
Vargas and Rudy aren't part of TF141 at the moment which is why they werent at the bar. Laswell's current issues didn't require their assistance or help. It was just a joint operation between TF 141 and Mexican Special Forces. They'd have to leave Mexican SF or become incorporated into TF 141.
I have a feeling Vargas the Colombian operator from cold war is Alejandro's dad and that will get revealed later because Vargas from cold war was fighting the cartels so maybe Alejandro Vargas from mw2 was inspired by his dad.
This cod is going be out for 2 years before the next one is released for the first time , I'm sure they just taking time with content they have 2 years

Easily one of the best characters introduced in the new MWII. I'm all for potential story DLC involving Ghost, Alejandro, hell playing as Valeria would be cool too. I'm eager to see what IW does in Year 2 of the content cycle.
Imagine flashback missions like maybe ghost and hell could even have the original ghost team with mace and Roach, Alejandro’s backstory including Valeria and some good old bravo 6 action with soap and price back in the day
When I play mw2 and when ever I see Alejandro it's like I have a familiar feeling about him. Maybe it's because here in Santa fe new mexico the older locals kind of have that same energy/ mindset of hardworking. Also for an extra cool part I didn't under standy why Alejandro called Rodolfo "rudy". Its because that's a nickname/ shorten version of it. So in real like my middle name is rudy soit can also be Rodolfo.
@@youngknight5589 that is what i am saying the villain is the antagonist but the guy in the video saifd that alejandro is an antagonist while he is a protagonist
I feel like for the Campaign DLC Shepherd will kill Soap, Ghost, Vargas and Rodolfo. Khaled Al-Asad seizing power through a coup in Urzikstan and killing/imprisoning Farah and the resistance. Price shooting Makarov with a 1911 or some other Glock similar to the original MW1 with Al-Asad. This ends up leaving Al-Asad as the main antagonist for MW3.
Does anyone realized that Captin price said SImon instead of Ghost, when Ghost took off his mask? I have never heard Captin Price said Simon most of the Campaign I have played.
My gta verse version of Alejandro has some backstory. I can assume that Alejandro’s reason to join the national army was because his family members joined the army to fight the cartel. Especially the once infamous Roba cartel. Who has infamous for hypnotizing national army soldiers into becoming his grunts for his criminal empire. Only to discover that his family members were actually supporting the drug cartels. Seems that Alejandro has some strong intolerance on drug cartels and other narcos of the sorts. He saw his town and region being so messed up. Rather than leave like many migrants would to the United States. He stuck around. The collapse of the Roba cartel created many other drug cartels. Even La Araña cartel. Who had the original founder being arrested and killed. Then the son being escorted to the mountains only for Valeria and her squad to kill him. This given serious character on Alejandro. He joins the UAC. Who knows Laswell and Captain Price and the mates. Alongside with Rodolfo. Little do they know that their agendas differ. Rodolfo prefer some centralization of political power to lessen the drug cartels and only allowing one cartel to monopolize the drug trade. Lessening the competition and thus lessening bloodshed. Alejandro advocates allowing regions to self defense themselves against drug cartels and centralization of the country.
"this is a sizeable covert facility and I admire it. so I'm going to take it." damn Graves didn't know you were the British empire from the mid 1700's to early 1900s and your American which makes it worse too.
I wonder if the story was rewritten, that the betrayal by shadow company towards task force 141 actually has a twist behind it. That the entire Shadow Company including Graves has someone else to turn on Vargas and it was actually Rudy. And Rudy turns on his soldier brother Vargas and shoots him in the head and similar twist to the original MW 2 itself, there’s betrayal and death of a comrade and Vargas is the victim of his own brotherhood and unlike the original Shepherd, this General Shepherd actually realizes that he didn’t have control on his own men. And apparently he must help out TF 141 and also explains why the missiles ended up under Hassan’s hands and it was because Graves was hypnotized like mk ultra. A sleeper agent of Rudy and Rudy was behind everything and that he had Graves to actually target the Iranian general and Shepherd approved of the attack. And he would follow alongside Hassan in Chicago to destroy a part of Washington DC because his main reason: his drug baron Manuel who ran the former Zaragoza cartel in Mexico was killed by the us army and the old ghost himself. And he wants revenge towards the USA and would use his mk ultra technique to hypnotize shadow company. And this has TF 141 to allign with Valeria and help rescue the remaining Vaqueros and avenge Vargas. After that, TF 141 would have to release Valeria as a reward for helping TF 141 and also splitting the remaining vaqueros into splintering with Las Almas cartel and TF 141. Also Shepherd would have to resign in disgrace and declassify what happened a few months ago. This whole incident from the beginning of the game was part of Rudy’s apocalyptic revenge plan of his. By pushing war, it would make Americans scared and maybe instigate protests in demilitarizing bases in overseas countries and maybe cause confusion and division further. And maybe by having the USA turn on Mexico, it would be a similar event to sicario 2. Having the us army to go south of the border wage war on the cartels themselves. And this can actually bring in the real antagonists in the shadows: The Federation from COD Ghosts. One unit of federation army soldiers led by Gabriel Rorke himself. And also the ultranationalists led by the new Makarov can begin to frame the U.S.A. into a war with the motherland. Pushing a world war 3 and with that, Makarov would weaken the USA outside. And the Mexican drug cartels inside.
Ngl it did seem strange that shadow company were shown to have no reason to change prior so it could’ve been last second but then again I don’t think Los Vaqueros has a reason either only reasoning is that Hassan let Rodolfo live or maybe there was never meant to be a betrayal
141 would never align with Valeria she’s a heartless monster also maybe Alejandro is with the federation as the real ghost team maybe wants his revenge on the gringos
