By the way Hassan is not the commander of AQ he just funds them, he is a Quds force Major operations from Iran who also made deals with Russians. Quds Iranian terror organisation is allied with AQ. Also, Al-Asad is still mentioned as he is shown in an image in spec ops shaking hands with a mysterious Russian (likely Makarov)

@@Gen_ShadowCompany_203 that’s true they did day Hassan’s men, perhaps Quds force and AQ are linked so that Iran terrorists and Urzikstan ones can benefit. I don’t know though that’s my theory. Pretty sure that Hassan wasn't part of Al Qatala but was helping them and was being helped by them throughout MWII. Pretty sure Hassan is an Iranian Lieutenant who worked under Iranian general Gobrani. It was probably a similar situation to Barkov. He was working without the consent of Iran itself.

9:51 Ink, it’s MAJOR Hassan and he’s not “the” leader of Al Qatala, the game literally says that he’s a MAJOR in the Quds force working with Al Qatala and the Cartel to get back at the US for assassinating GENERAL Ghorbrani at the beginning of the game 😅

    • @elperrodelautumo7511

Las Almas cartel is a powerful drug cartel that smuggles terrorist packages for terror groups across the Rio Grande into the USA. Sin Nombre said that as long as there’s a war on terror, the government would less likely take their war on drugs seriously there. And uses that tactic to assure Las Almas isn’t raided militarily by those that oppose the cartels presence. They’re not the territorial cartel of the bunch. As they’re not focused on territorial expansion. Only maintaining local peace. Like making Las Almas its own city state instead of being a part of Mexico as Vargas said it.

I like how Infinity Ward took inspiration from real world events not even a year after MW19 came out.
The opening mission is a direct reference to the assassination of Qasam Solinamani in 2020, who was the general of the Quds force and allegedly had ties to terrorist groups like ISIS and Al-Qaeda, whom Al-Qatala was already based off of. General Ghorbani also striking resembles Solinamani
Al-Qatala using SF equipment and American weapons and armor is a reference to when the Taliban took over Afghanistan in 2021 and seized all of the American weapons and vehicles left over.
Also, this game sheds a lot of light on the Mexican Drug War and the corruption in the Mexican armed forces. Las Almas seems to be a representation of Sinola Cartel and Los Zetas. The latter of which has been accused of smuggling guns for terrorist groups.

AQ is more like an irregular group like Hizbollah and Major Hassan is an operative of Iran who assists them in their mutual interests. The Iranian Quds Force (IRGC-QF) has a real history of helping Hizbollah and Shia militias across the world against US/Israeli interests. The Ghorbani strike mirrored the Qassim Solemani strike in Iraq. Ghorbani was the leader of the IRGC-QF and was suppling missiles and aid to AQ. Qassim Solemani was going to Iraq to meet Iraqi PMF (Shia paramilitaries) hence his strike occurred just outside the Baghdad airport. CoD did a good job of holding up a mirror to recent events in respect to IRGC-QF. A major is typically a higher ranked field commander in charge of an element of 200-500 soldiers with a focus on particular operations while generals are big picture and control thousands of soldiers.

It could’ve been interesting if Barkov had used Nova 6 as his major source of control over Urzikstan. Maybe he was the one who gave the gas to Volk and his employer and boss Makarov. To distribute through Europe and used it for the ultranationalist Russian army to Weaponize against the west during world war 3 of 2016. It also could’ve explained why Barkov was disowned by a Moscow and could’ve been the Colonel Kurtz of the call of duty universe.

    DAMN MAKAROV

It seems aq upgraded from cartels supplying them to Russian terrorists or PMCs in this case. I still believe that makarov is apart of the pmc that attacked SC and got the missiles. Though I get the feeling with makarov in the picture thing's are going to get real intense. like in the original he started ww3, imagine what crazy shit he'll do in the third game. And there also the fact that aq has turned into a army, like they don't just hav rusty ak47s and rpgs like regular terrorists do but armored vehicles, rocket's that actually lock on to stuff, body armor, night vision, and even American made weapons like m16s and others mostlilkely. With enough men they could take over a small country.

While it is cool that these factions exist, why are they not in the multiplayer, instead we have these boring operators.
